The commotion caught the attention of a nearby Magneton which piqued the interest of the Rocket scientist.

She’d send her Incineroar to battle the creature, which had fired a Zap Cannon at the tiger Pokémon in response to its approach.

Eva’s Incineroar dodged the attack and responded with a Flare Blitz, crashing into the Magneton and sending it crashing it into a wall. The Pokémon appeared to be down so Eva threw an empty capsule at it to capture it.

Eva simply wanted to investigate the aftermath of Meteor Falls but instead was now having to deal with a swarm of Claydol.

There were enough people here already that she was comfortable leaving it up to them and sneaking away and she was almost home free until some of the Claydol got in her way.

Eva cursed under her breath; she didn’t have time to be dealing with this. She’d release her Greninja and Serperior, one using Hydro Pump and the other Leaf Storm to stop the Claydols that were spinning sporadically and coming straight for her. If she had to she’d fight her way through these annoying pests.

Eva was watching her Incineroar take care of Escavalier and didn’t notice the Toxel that approached her until it started to tug on her pant leg.

She looked down at the baby Pokémon and then to her Incineroar, motioning with her head down to the poison type.

Believing its master to be in danger, Eva’s Incineroar rushed over and punted the little Toxel away.

The sight of a wild Pokémon had Eva rolling her eyes as it was just her luck that while waiting something like this would happen.

She tried to shoo the creature away with a wave of her hand but it instead took that as an issue of a challenge which was the opposite of what Eva wanted.

Seeing as the Pokémon wasn’t going to go away Eva let out a deep sigh and released her Incineroar which made quick work of the steel / bug type with a Flamethrower.

Eva was not the type to enjoy waiting, especially when she had much better things to be doing with her time.

But she was waiting for a supplier and one that frequently supplied her with merchandise that was of the highest quality.

Her lab could always use more upgrades and this was the person to go to but unfortunately, the person was a bit odd for Eva’s taste.

Always liked doing things in person and had this annoying way of speaking, if they were any other person Eva would’ve stopped doing business with them. But for whatever reason they were late and she didn’t like it.

Eva cared very little for what happened to this city and just wanted to watch the Galarian Slowbros do their work.

Apparently, they had been subdued beforehand and somehow came back and were running amok. She was keeping her distance but one of them managed to find her and was pointing its arm at her.

Eva let out a deep sigh before calling out her Metagross, the steel Pokémon defending its trainer by blasting the Slowbro with a Hyper Beam. A bit overkill but better to be safe than sorry.

She would leave the collecting of the pirate’s treasures to the other two, her job was done here and she was ready to get back home.

There was nothing that interested her back there from what she saw but if there actually did manage to be something of value she was sure she’d hear about it and appraise it for herself.

”Well good luck.” For now she’d get on the back of her Hydreigon and go home.

”On second thought maybe that should replace you.” Eva said in jest, her response to Circe’s taunt. It was odd for those who worked under her to see her in such a positive mood and speaking with someone for more than five minutes and it not being about some sort of work-related subject.

These little breaks in the mundane were appreciated even if Eva didn’t outwardly say it. Now testing a sample of the Pokémon’s stomach acid would be interesting, Eva began rubbing her chin at the thought.

”That’s a good idea. It could give us an explanation behind why, despite the amount of food it eats, there are never any droppings.” That is assuming the creature even had any, to begin with, Eva wasn’t going to rule out any possibilities when dealing with an inter-dimensional being.

Eva’s eyes would move away from the miniature Guzzlord and to Circe, a brow raised. She didn’t respond at first and instead smiled faintly and looked back to the Guzzlord.

”I’m sure you have a great chance. You should definitely go for it. Maybe that way he’ll give us more time on our projects like Lugia before giving them away.”
