"you poor thing." to live a life outcast by those of his kind. humans were truly despicable, downright to the core. "i tracked you down because you were, too, once family." a sincere tone, he meant every word spoken from his core. rocket was his family, "you still are family." without a doubt, he saw his fellow former rocket member as such.

"which is why i want to help you." if this was truly what he desired, cadis would not stand against it. "if you so wish, you have an option to live your life without hiding. i can make it happen with just a simple 'yes'. should you wish it, dorian." he can't guarantee it would be a perfect life, but it would be better than his current. "or...you could help me rebirth this region--the world." cadis would lean in, palms clasped together.

"a world without danger." to what did cadis mean by such a cryptic statement? "a world where there is no pain, sickness, or loss...you could help me build that world." he'd add, "you could help create the change silas fought for."

"now, now, they don't have to leave." cadis waved casually, a sheepish grin worn. "isn't that right, CARMINE GOTTI..." like a magic a usb flash drive would slide between cadis's fingers. "you like magic, right?" he'd toss the drive onto his desk. "here you go, there's something on there you can show the league. i'm sure they'd love to get their hands on the gotti family's dark dealings." that's right, the gotti family were a low-class bunch influential family in the black market. on the surface they hid themselves behind a dummy corporation.

❝alright, stand down men. what do you rocket rats want?❞

a dumbfounded look. cadis would say, "i thought we were pretty clear on what we wanted?" pointing to the surface, cadis continued, "this up-and-coming casino. you're indebted to rocket--to the late silas even. we came to claim it. i'm sure you can giveaway one measly building to us compared to the amount you have spread throughout several regions." a hand would be slammed upon the table by carmine, teeth gritted.

"this is black ludicrous!" carmine shouted, "what's ludicrous is the amount of times you've employed rocket for all your shady dealings. we were risking our neck while you and your men sat comfortably watching from afar." on that drive was enough information to shut their entire operation down. rocket had leverage when it was needed.

"of course, we're generous people. it's not as if we're asking for money or anything, we just need a place to call home." and who better to call than someone they've done business with? "so, give us the casino. we give you all the leverage we have on you, and we can continue doing business together." well, he was lying about giving them all the leverage. you never know with these shady, low-class organizations. "besides, i'm sure we can make better use of it than you ever could. right, simon?"

a laughter followed after the utterance of his 'capability to kill' were spoken on. "it's not a matter of being able to kill, it's about being able to do what must be done in order to get what's needed." those were the men who worked alongside cadis. there was no one who fully understood cadis--not even cadis understood himself till this very day. but he was able to do what must be done for the sake of a goal.

"let me ask you this," cadis began, "if a plan involved the harm of children, could you do it without batting an eye?" a hardened stare was thrown his way. without blinking, he'd await an answer to be given. "could you handle the thought of taking a parent from a child and vice versa?" cadis could never trust those who were able to allow their emotion to cloud their judgement.

the only exception to that rule was silas. he was a man who allowed his self-righteousness and desires to lead him, a great stimulant but a foolhardy mistake. if only he'd been here to help guide his predecessor. "i lack the ability to understand 'the human concept', priam." his eyes shifted into a narrowing form, "winning, losing, good, bad, wrong, right--i never understood any of that...rather..." a hand was brought to his chin.

"you could say i never understood the meaning of them, even though it's something natural that every human is born with. it's not something you should have to learn, but i had to learn all of it by watching." placing his hand over his heart, the tips of his fingers were gently pressed over his left pectoral. silence fell briefly as he paused.

❝i...am not human, but a monster.❞

"i...am not human." that's right. he never saw himself as one, he was born different. "i had to learn how to become human." which brought his spiel back to priam's question, "it's not a matter of 'not having enough', it's a matter of how far are you willing to walk in the shoes of a monster." could he wear the mask of one? if he thought silas was bad, he had yet to see what lengths cadis was willing to go.

in the midst of his rambling did a spritzee emerge, alongside a scrafty. he'd call forth infernape, "thunder punch." with an iron fist did infernape pulverize the spritzee. the punch, strong, left the fairy-type under paralysis state. "no need to harm it any further." he ordered infernape, a simple ball was thrown toward the spritzee. an attempt to capture the fairy-type was made.

infernape stood on standby. "do you intend to catch the scarfty?" he asked rhys.

"anything we find is rightfully yours. i'm merely here to find the necessities to our project." a hand was then brought to the top of Eva Dumont 's head. "i also get to spend time with my adorable scientists." he teased, removing his hand had it not been swapped away. though, it wasn't just eva and cadis.

they were here with a squad of lackeys, a small unit that would come to serve every and any command given from the pair. "it's important we have many hands to help us in locating the key ingredients." though, this route wasn't his choice. it was suggested by the other scientists that their chances in locating the pokemon they were in search of proved high here.

"it might be awhile before we can return home. hopefully we're not out here too long." the boss spoke with a playful sigh. "i suppose we could both use some fresh air every now and then."

a new pair would show. one of them happened to be a girafarig, his interest was touched on. "gallade, return." and with the flick of a wrist he'd call forth zoroark. "pursuit." a sudden assault was made upon the unsuspecting girafarig. a hand pressed down atop of the pokemon's neck, whereas a foot upon its tail.

"you won't be going anywhere." the pokemon's attempt at escape was cutoff. though, this wasn't exactly what he'd been after. it wouldn't hurt to add to his collection. "if you wouldn't mind, please come with me." a ball was lightly tapped upon the girafarig's forehead. it would come to be asborbed within the premier ball. "welcome to your new home." it didn't take much effort for cadis to snatch his prey. any struggle to fight would simply prove fruitless.

"that was fun, let's continue on." had kyle any interest within the drampa? cadis wasn't sure. he'd stop to ask, "are you going to catch it before we continue our hunt?"

an alolan sandslash would come to stand before silas and gallade. it was angry that they were disturbing his home. cadis had nothing to fret over, the sandslash was but a simple obstacle. eventually, gallade would take to the front. a battle would ensue between the pair. in the end gallade would come out victorious, but the sandslash fought valiant.

as it laid in a barely concious state. he'd crouch down before it, "i like you. you're interesting, and i don't mean by just your appearance." with a pokeball risen, he'd tap it upon the pokemon's head. allowing it a chance at a second life. the pokemon was absorbed, the ball shook for a small period.

IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT (HALLOWEEN RAID)

❝the dragon clan...are interesting people...❞

words of encouragement were given to the 'little dragon'. cadis watched as Noelle Lane and CHANCELOR MCQUEEN tried to instill hope into the girl. he'd look toward AYAME FUJIWARA , placing a hand atop of her head. a smile was given, "good girl, i'm glad you're safe." softly spoken words were said with hollow filled eyes.

the enemies showed themselves. there were four targets, but one objective for cadis's group. "...we need to secure the bottle." AYAME FUJIWARA was already ahead of the game. he'd call forth gallade to watch his back and remain on standby, robinhood the decidueye was also summoned.

cadis would speak to his decidueye up close and personal. crouching, he'd speak with power, "robinhood, remain on guard and watch for their backs. the target is the bottle--secure it and return it here. make sure no one gets in our way." decidueye understood his objective and maneuvered with haste. flying midair he'd watch from afar while keeping his distance from those maneuvering toward the bottle, prepared to do what was needed in order for rocket to secure victory. robinhood would utilize the rocks to hide himself, preparing for an ambush if need be.

while that was happening, cadis would come to fix his sight onto FERNANDO SILPH . watching and studying him from afar, a smile was worn. "how will you proceed, fernando...silph..." cadis lowly spoke as gallade kept watch.

though fernando wasn't cadis's only interests. he had sights set on kyle lopez and the HOOPLA--especially the hoopla. it's power was exhilarating to watch on the battlefield. whether he secured the hoopla or the darkrai, it was a must one of the creatures were to be brought into the real world with him. be this a dream or not, he'd see one of his objectives to completion.

notes:

- cadis watches ayame and blake take off.
- decidueye was ordered to watch their backs, do what was needed to secure the bottle for rocket and hide amongst the hovering rocks for the perfect opportunity.
- gallade watched cadis's sides.
- cadis eyes FERNANDO SILPH , awaiting to see what his actions will consist of.
- cadis is debating with himself at the moment on how to snag hoopla or darkrai.

a purrloin stood before starmie. it wasn't much of a task to deal with for the dual-type. "dazzling gleam!" its body shined brightly. glistening within a bright color, starmie would rush forward. charging into the purrloin and sending it into an unconscious state from the effective fairy move.

a pokeball was thrown at it. "i wouldn't say that." thinking aloud, a hand was brought to his chin. "it's just a lot of experience." he'd add, "but this is also apart of that experience. the pokemon here are ruthless and don't take kind to invaders." they were familiar with cadis and the outcome was always the same. they never backed down.

"the thing about wild pokemon are that they're free to do as they please." placing the pokeball within his suit jacket. cadis continued to lead them into the cavern, "the first sign of something unfamiliar to them and they'll deem it a threat without reason or 'cause, you're just unnatural. an anomaly within their world." starmie led the way.

"i, for one, like being an anomaly. the type of chaos it can cause is unpredictable." and thus he'd ask, "have you ever felt like an anomaly, rhys?"

"oh." it's not actually what he was looking for, but it was perfect timing. "gallade, close combat." his gallade would emerge from behind. moving in with a physical assault upon the ambipom's body. any attempt to defend was not given. and without hesitation a ball was thrown toward the bipedal pokemon.

"absorption complete." the ball would be brought to him by his gallade. his direction turned toward priam after. "rumor has it that there's a malfunctioned creature roaming about. it's a pokemon, but also not a pokemon. something that escaped confinement." he was here to find it. "apparently it's said we'll know when we see it. the locals were being harassed by the pokemon, so i told them i'd handle it." a smile worn, "i am a league member after."

they were dead.
an expression unchanged.
they simply weren't up to snuff.

and thus he carried on. everyone survived, color cadis impressed. lady luck worked in mysterious ways. while some celebrated, others mourned.

cadis, on the other hand, had come to notice something. he'd stare toward the one-armed Blake Wright . intrigued by his action and the reward from it. "could it be..." a hollow expression was worn. he'd come to place a hand underneath his chin, stroking it as he thought to himself briefly from everything that was said by the fellow with one leg.

it wasn't until he was interrupted by kyle's leaderly blunder. walking toward Blake Wright , he'd place a hand upon his torn shoulder. whispering to blake, he'd say with a smile, "i don't know what you did. but prepared to do it again." he spoke of the invocation that summoned darkrai. that was the only thing focused on cadis's mind right now.

he had a theory to confirm. was it possible that blake possessed some form of compatibility or was it just a coincidence? either way, blake had a great opportunity to be promoted at this very moment. cadis's job was to make his subordinate a potential host. moving his hand from his shoulder. cadis would remove his jacket, placing it over Blake Wright .

"let's cover that wound. it's unsightly." continuing, he'd add, "prepare yourself, my friend. it seems we may have reached the final bout." cadis assumed that, if this were a dream as stated by the one-legged hulk, that the wound blake possessed shouldn't hurt. but the human brain was a strange creature. "will that wound hinder you from fighting with your pok--"

cadis was caught off guard by the sudden, bloodcurdling screams of @bryony's altaria. "oh, that's not good." she was breaking down. the last thing they needed in manpower was a lack of manpower.

❝oh my, how amusing. what will the outcome be...?❞

a small chuckle was had. cadis covered the smile he'd been wearing for sometime. it was amusing to watch the chaos unfold.

it was just like he told priam conrad , "emotions truly are a humans greatest strength, but also a farcical weakness." reaching into his trench coat, cadis, lazily, flicked three capsules before him. "out," cadis commanded. infernape, gardevoir, and starmie stood before their group. "gardevoir, DISABLE the metagross." the metagross's attempt to utilize TELEKINESIS was shutdown by gardevoir. his next order was given toward infernape. "infernape, 'ASSIST' the espeon in pulling our cage upward with PSYCHIC." infernape would then follow up with an ASSIST ( PSYCHIC ) and aided kyle lopez 's espeon in moving their cage.

"starmie, shine a SPOTLIGHT onto their chain." starmie's jewel had shone brightly. a light was cast upon the JOCK'S CHAIN, making their cage the center of attention. folding his arms, the smile he once worn was no more. a menacing frown had been adorn. an irritable, hollow gaze thrown toward Laurence Anderson and company. "there was a chance for cooperation, but it's clear to me that you've all proven yourselves to be nothing more than dead weight." he wanted to go on a spiel about how had they simply took a moment to analyze their situation and breathe, there was a glint of hope that they could all survive this.

sadly, that wasn't the case. those who lack any form of loyalty were unfit to stand upon the same surface as him. "kindly do us a favor and save what little face you have left," he was speaking toward Laurence Anderson , "and have some form of honor and die for us, you scum." alas, the good had to suffer with the bad. but should any attempt, by the nerds, be made to save them. cadis wouldn't argue against their decision. had those of the virgin class attempted to assist the jock's and their disharmony? they, too, would be seen as dead weight by cadis.

"should you virgins get any ideas..." he was speaking toward siobhan burke , Natsuki Ryuunosuke , and @n0ble , "...i'd like to suggest rethinking them. it's clear they've no intention of working together with us, so it's best we simply let them fall. after all, should you choose to save them, who's to say that they won't do this again? will you take responsibility for their actions?" a cold stare given, whether they chose to answer or not, he'd simply continue on with speech, "of course, i'm just one person and i can't enforce my opinion onto any of you. but i'd greatly appreciate the courtesy that either of you will get in our way, we've wounded people who need immediate tending to. we have no time for devilry."

notes:

- infernape, gardevoir, and starmie were called.
- gardevoir used disable upon the mega metagross's telekinesis as punishment for Laurence Anderson behavior.
- infernape used assist ( psychic ) to help espeon lift the nerds cage.
- starmie used spotlight upon the jock's chain--again--as punishment and due to the fact they're all acting like clowns.

- cadis goes on a spiel about how he doesn't have time for this, lars ( and company ) being foolish, selfish, and irrational. warns the virgin group to basically not act like the jocks and actually cooperate. get in their way and he won't hesitate to cut them up.

- cadis is leaving the whole "cut the chains" stuff to the rest of the group. have at them.

- DISABLED metagross's TELEKINESIS for 4 TURNS.
- SPOTLIGHT is in effect for 1 TURN.
