Aedan has managed to make it camping in the wilderns, avoiding cities out of fear the police will have been notified to look for him. But his respite away from home has been the stuff of his wildest dreams...[break][break]

Pokemon unlike those he's met, and he with them—fast friends in a world of abundant adventures, and theirs was a call to follow it—through the deepest dark or the highest haven—if only to say they'd done it together. It was about the journey.[break][break]
And so Aedan finds himself inextricably drawn to the allure of his first ever space-time distortion, heading south from his camp near Mauville Hills, arriving in Slateport out of breath, but with time to spare. He checks his phone, which is running quite low on charge, and discovers that the phenomenon has still overtaken much of Slateport Central Mall. Aedan is immediately en route. [break] It's not unusual for kids his age to go running through the mall, but he's not looking to grab the latest CD's or the trendiest fashion items, but to uncover the mystifying wonder of a distortion. Many are trainers like him looking for an opportunity. With Shelgon at his side, they begin their search.[break][break] It isn't too long before he comes across the first strange pokemon... A rather mellowed out Typhlosion with purple flames curling around its neck, wreathing it in noxious flames. Shelgon as his chosen companion, they begin their battle in earnest, the air around them 'glitching' as the intensity of the battle escalates. He can see a verdant wilderness at times, though the mall persists through it all, compelling Aedan to rub at his eyes as if to help him see straight.[break][break] Eventually the battle is won, and Aedan's pokeball finds purchase on Typhlosion.[break][break] [break] Aedan begins to feel the weight of uncertainty upon him as the distortion seems to unwravel the reality of nature around him, the young lad hurrying to snatch up his pokeball and perhaps seek refuge elsewhere. But as the sound of echoed thunder and the discharge of volatile arcs causes him to freeze stiff, he realizes he is not in the same place as before. The mall flickers in and out of view as a more natural terrain overtakes him. Geographically speaking, he has not moved... but the space is different. Perhaps several hundred years different, or a century different. He couldn't know.[break][break] Wordlessly he would run, as if to find his way back home. But where space remained at his side, time denied him at every turn, leaving him stranded in this world for a moment's eternity. Honeyed eyes bead with tears while his lip trembles uncontrollably.[break][break]  [break][break] Every passing minute couldn't even account for the minute vibration of an atom in his origin point. While his perfect prize began to lose his luster, and he pulled at his hair and screamed for some sort of salvation, only but a fleeting moment had begun to breathe itself to life back on Hoenn. Not even long enough to recognize he'd disappeared. To think, he might be lost to Hoenn forevermore...
