Following up after Andy, he couldn't help but take a look ahead past Andy's caboose between glances at the ornate trinkets and classical paintings dotting the household.

There was just so much junk in this house. Desirable junk, but junk to be sure, as Aedan hardly knew what to do with half the things he saw while touring the hallways.

After pushing through the extensive corridors leading deeper into Andy's not-so-humble abode, Andy heaves open a door and ducks into the room with Aedan hot on his heels. He bumps into Andy when he stops abruptly, trying to stick close in such an alien environment.

"Oops, sorry," he starts muttering apologetically.

And then the realization hits.

"This is your room??!? It's the size of my ENTIRE living room...!" Truth be told, most of the house bespoke a luxury afforded by generations of investment into the family's fortune. The fineries adorning the walls and cluttering their furniture had already driven it home before he saw for himself just how luxuriously Andy lived just within the confines of his room. What a lucky guy! He envied Andy.

"Hey, I remember him," Aedan jeered at the snoozing Gengar. "Didja have any other pokemon I could meet? Maybe we should let them out so they can play..."

Hoping that Andy would indulge him this small pleasure, he awaits his host's response with bated breath, his mouth hanging agape at the prospect of meeting some of Andy's other pokemon. Aedan even had a few pokemon of his own tucked away in his pockets, waiting to be unleashed.

"Wow... it's so freakin' big!"



Aedan had never stepped foot in a house so decked out. His family was a bunch of packrats cooped into a town house. He'd shared a room most of his life. Wore hand-me-downs, etc. So it was all a bit much, and although it left him feeling sheepishly embarrassed, it was comforting to be welcomed by a Ribombee and Andy to help take away the shock from the awe. But he was out of his element.

Taking off his coat and surrendering his luggage to Ribombee, he took a few more steps into the threshold before pausing. "Should I, uhm... Do I need to take off my shoes to c-come in i-inside? Or should I just..."

He nearly stammered over the syllables, hoping not to offend his host's house rules. Such courtesies were lost on his family, the very notion alien to him.

"...Okay. But I live in Rustboro, so," he wasn't sure what his parents would say. He supposed it was all the same to them as him running rampant through Hoenn's wildlands. "I'll have to ask my mom." It felt a little embarrassing to say it.

But he was looking forward to it. "What's your phone number?" Aedan pulled out a phone that primarily acted as his pokedex, pulling up his mostly barren list of contacts.

He'd record the number in his contacts before heading home, getting some well deserved rest after a long day full of flustering exchanges, anticipating his next encounter with Andy. Even if the telescope was his ulterior motive, interacting with other trainers was enjoyable too, even when they proved abrasive as Andy could be at times.

We should end that Duo Wild and try to kickstart another thread between these two. Maybe just a social or something. It can be a mission or whatever if that's convenient for you, but I'd rather just play around as them for awhile in a more laid back setting. Want to try and work away from the standoffish nature of their first encounter.

Aedan opening up about his hobby is the start of that, I'm hoping.

Thoughts? Or just in awe at the audacity of me posting on Aedan after months?

"Well, it might be valuable." Sometimes a trainer had to find a way to turn a quick profit if they wanted any pokeballs. Although to be fair those kinds of meteorites were boring and not quite what Aedan was looking for.

"Sometimes pokemon fall out of the sky... Or at least, it's happened before." Where Andoles is looking for an iron clad reason and purpose, Aedan is looking for a call to adventure. Everything along the way was just details. "Sometimes the stuff that falls is the same stuff that makes up evolution stones, or other useful items..."

Aedan was definitely grasping at straws.

"...It's a hobby of mine, okay?"

Now he was beginning to be more genuine. He'd flush a ruddy hue that was accentuated by his ginger complexion. Most people thought of strange nerds and geeks being into space and science... but Aedan was just another kid fascinated by the majesty of outer space.

"Exactly what I said I was," he rebuked. "I'm lookin' for something. Didja forget already?"

Aedan cast a wary glance backwards. Did they have the memory of a goldfish, or were they just one of those constantly-nagging-after-you types?

I really don't need a second mom for that...

"What're you doing following me, though?"

Aedan held his arms aloft, gesturing at the lack of wild pokemon around their immediate vicinity, while also highlighting the obvious wildlife further in the distance. "You came ta catch some pokemon, right? Well... go do that." He'd turn away again, sorting through the rocks with his feet, trying to find one that looked out-of-this-world.

"Lemme do my thing, and you can do yours."

Maybe he'd spoke too soon of a budding friendship; all Andy wanted to do was nag...

"Lottsa cool stuff falls from the sky to the ground," he asserts to Andy, his voice rising to challenge their so-called fact with a bit of that signature childish nuh-uh attitude. "You'll see."

Aedan goes kicking about through the grass, feeling a little flustered; embarrassed. Like I dun know most burn up... Hmph! Had he been taken for a fool so readily? But no matter, because Aedan wasn't about to let it ruin how he chose to spend his remaining vacation days. Now, where was I...

Rikki stumbles along beside him, with Aedan pausing to look at a funny rock, maybe a geode?

That wasn't exactly what he was looking for though, though it was interesting. He handed it over to Rikki after plucking it from off the ground.

"Can ya crack it open fer me, buddy?"
