Apparently, as it turned out, there were more of them lurking in the stairwell below decks, preventing anyone else unfortunate enough to get trapped below going top side. Who knew if they’d looted so many things from the unprotected rooms already?

After knocking out another one of the brigands with an elbow to the back of their neck, she then summoned her Gardevoir and pointed all around.

“Get all the knocked-out idiots and bring them along,” she said as she pointed towards the…trail…of passed-out brigands she’d left behind in her wake. Eyes flashing a few moments, the Gardevoir then tapped into its well spring of power and began to lift everyone up, before Teleporting topside.

She then had to go back down and haul the other one back up as best as she could—the guy who was drunk off rhum and now probably enjoying a snooze fest below. Eventually she returned, and the Gardevoir had helped piled the brigands she’d knocked out into a general circle.

“How’d it go up here?” she asked her companion once she’d hauled off the last brigand and watched as they were tied up with rope.

“Nothing too bad?”
