Maverick held onto whatever he could find for dear life. His crimson colored orbs wide, hearing Elaine Highland but unable to speak. Instead, he gave her a nod. His heart race, fearing the worst. Why? Why does he always end up in these near death expresses? Does the world hate him that much?[break][break]

Soon, the top of the shaft could be seen. However, the platform didn’t slow down. His mouth parted, ready to question its brakes out loud to his comrades. But it reached the top before he could muster the words, the disk flying through the air. The man cursed, frantically scrubbed to get to Tiamat. The platform soon, leaving them flying.[break][break]

It was only after Tiamat (or maverick call out his own flying beast) did the man was able to catch his breath. He swallowed hard, gasping for air as his warm crimson colored orbs flickered over the scene around them. It was their leader who caught his attention, following his gaze to see the strange looking bug beast fighting it out. “Territorial, you think,” the man called out questioning, unsure of what he was really looking at.

It would be rare for Maverick to pass up a canine. Yet, crimson colored orbs watched as the wild yamper darted right past then casting a dried up leave blowing in the wind. Honestly, the lack of motivation has been really getting to him in more ways than one. He knew this, but still let the yamper go and continued his search for something more exciting. Something more, thrilling than an ordinary yamper.

It was hard to feel motivated when everything in life was stressful. From one thing to the next, it never ended. However, Maverick hoped that a break and a stroll through the safari zone would keep his mind off of things. It also helped that there was a pokemon he wanted in here. With a heavy sigh, the burnt scarred man pressed on and began his search. Hopefully, escaping reality even if its for a little while.

Elaine’s words weren’t very comforting to say the these. He hoped that of all of them, the woman had the brains to figure it out without risking their lives. Yet, Mav predicted incorrectly. He swallowed the thumb the formed in his throat, reaching into his pocket for another sphere. It was at this moment, the burnt scarred man really wished he had his arcanine that knew teleport. But alas, he wasn’t so lucky this time.[break][break]

His gaze fell upon the dial as the room began to quake, observing the mechanism began to awaken and move. Maverick held his breath, on edge and twitching to every sound. That was, until the floor literally moved beneath his feet. The man cursed out loud, shifting his weight quickly to adapted to the new unstable ground. Of course, he fell upon himself as he tried to both catch his breath and understand what in the world was going on.

Time was running out. It was now, or ever. Maverick and his canine dashed through the wilderness of the safari zone, looking for their last capture before he was to return to the exit. His heart raced, wanting to get his money’s worth before it was too late. And just as his final few minutes came, the burnt scarred man spotted the last pokemon he needed in the corner of his eye.[break][break]

Without hesitation, Maverick tossed the sphere at the creature from behind. It clocked it, the creature seeming really puzzled as to what hit it as the sphere sucked the wild pokemon in and locked in place. The ball fell to the earth with a soft thud, wiggling as it tried to escape. “That was close,” he mumbled to himself, waiting for the confirm capture so he could finally leave.

It didn’t take long for the next wild pokemon to come by. The green tinted steel body of the wild bronzor stared at them for the longest time, unmoving. Azula snarled, lips lifted to show off her pearly whites. The creature seemed unfazed by her display, though seemed to have lost interest and let them be. Good. Whatever. Either way, Maverick wasn’t going to let this one go. Although he already had a shiny evolved form, it never hurt to have another one. Reaching into his pocket, the man plucked a sphere from deep within. Crimson colored orbs watched the golden fish flop about, waiting for the perfect moment to toss the ball. And, toss he did. The ball hit its mark, mid jump when the fish couldn’t dodge. It sucked the creature in, locking in place before wiggling. After all, he already bought the ticket so he’s gotta use them all up before time runs out.[break][break]
