"i’m not forgiving anyone." his snarl is immediate, but dominic finds himself choking on more words.

she should have been the one to burn.

briefly, his lips curl, teeth flashing. there’s a tensing of muscle in his shoulders but he lets the words rest and crumble on the back of his tongue. dominic wrangles his jaw shut, grinds his teeth to trap the things he knows he cannot say.

dominic’s fury, he knows, runs hotter than gavin’s, but the passage of time had made the anger settle between his ribs whereas gavin’s sears just below the surface of the skin. he tells himself he can be patient. slowly, dominic inclines his head backward, smoke billowing languidly from his lips.

"no," he exhales in a soft breath. his tone is an almost gentle, barely audible murmur. "no, gavin. she was with petrov, and here she is with you, for now. the rest remember, and i do too."

when lulu addresses the man, dominic finds that his gaze lingers on the former rather than the latter. very interesting, and the question of just who are you? arises and is just as quickly dispelled; the answer, for now, is secondary. if he is impressed, his features barely betray him, the smirk only hinted at by the quirk of his lips could be meant for her as much as it is meant for sigmund.

the fucker is lucky in the fact that they ultimately do need him alive; it’s just he doesn’t know that yet, and dominic will do his best to maintain that illusion. the man whimpers a response to lulu’s provocations, but goes briefly still when lulu brings up details from his personal life. less than an arm’s length away, dominic can hear his breathing grow ragged. he says please followed by more begging. dominic’s expression remains primarily impassive in the face of the appeals.

"would you look at that," dominic drawls, slow and purposeful with his words. he pauses to watch the blood seep from the man’s wounds and into the carpet. "cheat in private and professional affairs, huh?"

dominic’s gaze flickers from sigmund to lulu and then back again. "unlike your women, maybe we will be overlook all this? what do you think?"

Lulu Flint

when dominic goes to pick up his new capture, he does notice some bubbles on the surface of the water and then two wide, staring eyes from the pond; he doesn't know what that is and he has no desire to find out. seems like the sort of thing priam's weird friend Lucas Lane would be into, which is enough of a reason for dominic to back away.

dominic swings around to look at the figure joining him on the platform; eyes half-lidded, his sneer of a smile is as razor-sharp as rex’s. he wants to laugh, but the sound that comes from the back of his throat is ragged and hollow.

"tough?" he echoes. no, he isn’t tough, but he is something much worse; something twisting and wrong, something like a blade between the third and fourth ribs.

"let me show you what i am."

with a practiced motion, a barely perceptible flick of the wrist, two of dominic’s pokemon take their shapes from bursts of light that are too brilliant for dominic’s eyes. when the light fades, only one pokemon is visible, the other having disappeared into the former’s shadow immediately.

a lone delcatty remains on the arena - the pokemon stretches its feline limbs, unbothered by the crowd and sits down, tail curled around its body. unbeknownst to observers, a gengar hides itself inside the shadow cast by the delcatty, and uses ROLE PLAY on its ally.

the rules in this place are flexible, and dominic keeps more capsules balanced between his fingers, posture and smile languid.

Rex Drago

dominic stares at the woman for a moment longer, his expression distant and rendered unreadable beneath the sunglasses; one eyebrow arches at her words but otherwise he remains impassive.

"hope you like deep sea diving," he says after a moment, cryptic, and then turns, disappearing into the crowd of bodies on the beach.

dominic barely glances up to watch as oscar’s accelgor herds the wooloo together; once he realises the man’s plan lined up with what he had planned for in the first instance, he’s content to let it play out while he retrieves his own pokemon to finalise the operation.

his gengar takes shape in a burst of brilliant light. it offers a leering grin and a wave to oscar and then turns to dominic awaiting orders, smiling widely and bouncing on one foot and then the next in anticipation. dominic’s lips quirk to mirror the gengar’s grin and he reaches out to flash the pokemon’s gengarite at it, prompting it to slowly shift as it mega-evolves. when the transformation is complete, dominic jerks his head to the wooloo and murmurs, "go on."

the gengar shifts its gaze to the gathered herd and lunges forward; it won’t need to attack or do anything, really. its presence is necessary only to lock them all in place with its SHADOW TAG to ensure that their captures of the pokemon go as smoothly as possible.

dominic follows the pokemon, pulling out a handful of empty capsules, balanced between his fingers. he tosses out one, and then a second, at the wooloo, the pokeballs bonking them gently on their heads as they are forced inside. dominic is close enough to hear the snarling from the undergrowth, and inclines his head just in time to see a flash of red and white fur as what looked like at least three midnight lycanroc lunge for the clustered wooloo.

"what the fuck," is all he has time to utter.

oscar clayton

dominic hears screaming again - some pokemon ROARING - but it sounds much cuter than what had filled the air prior. the sparks from the grass seem more potent this time, and dominic cranes his neck to examine the pokemon.

catching sight of a snarling shinx attacking the morpeko from earlier, he raises an eyebrow, uncertain about whether or not to catch it. his mind is made up when he sees the pokemon somehow DOUBLE KICK the other pokemon. dominic tosses the safari ball without hesitation.
