the tilt of his head along with the grin that follows is all that needs to be said to convey what both of them have in their minds.[break][break]

she confesses to him with "suzume" but all he hears is her name, no backstory or secrets that may accompany it. those may be revealed at another time but for now, her name is all he needs to exchange his in return.[break][break]

"lance," he says before turning fully to face her, the side of his body leaning against the bar. after a pause, his finger uncurls from the glass he holds to point at her.[break][break]

as aaron faust awakens only to bark out vulgarities when they should be thanking the two men for saving them, lance can do no more than chuckle. he gives the man a pat on his chest before standing back up.[break][break]

noticing Greyson Connors peeling away from them, his eyebrow raises, confused as to what has suddenly overcome the man.[break][break]

without waiting for aaron faust to get back up, lance follows. his porygon2 rolls behind him like a toy truck.

what floats before them are bubbles the size of their heads, perhaps larger, that all look slightly discolored. with knowledge gained from decades of experience with the rangers, lance knows not to mess with them, but he likes egging his friends on.[break][break]

lance doesn't stay unconscious for too long, soon brought back by PAIN SPLIT, but as he awakens to find himself carried by his two friends, he finds that this may be the easiest way out of here.[break][break]

so his body remains limp as he's carried out in such a regal manner fitting for a party leader.[break][break]
