In one swooping motion he flips to his side and releases a Pokemon — GYARADOS. The behemoth opens his maw as the Sharpedo takes another round on them, but meets the enclosed CRUNCH of the serpents jaw. Blood fills the water, the shark ripped in two pieces.

"Lance, what are you do-?" His gaze flits to the man's leg and his jaw steels. Panic bubbles, threatening to overtake the foundations to which he'd spent so much time building. He couldn't allow that. He wouldn't.

Pain brings him back to focus, nails digging into palms, scraped knees bleeding vertically along the current of an impossible ocean. He bites off the expiative aimed at Lance in favor of something more productive. He turns to aaron faust with all the authority of his position and says the words he'd never expected to ever have to.
