the night is still young, she supposes. there's trouble out there somewhere for them to get into. well... for her to get into and for him to watch.

anyway, the compliment drags her smile even wider. she glances toward him for a minute before her eyes are darting back to the screen. there's no way he looks mid. stop that slander.

she reaches her hand out, then, to still his finger from swiping off of a really good one.

"wait, i love that one. you look so cute! can you send me that?"

a small pout forms as her eyes dart between the selfies and him.

or... she's simply fishing for a compliment. either way, they might need to take some more.

she finds his head almost in line with hers. not quite but close enough. it'll work for the pictures, she thinks.

"you got it."

it's said as he takes the picture anyway. she'd bet the first picture looks horrible, with her half talking and eyes still trained on him.

her head turns, tilts, and a bright smile rises quickly for the next one.

"say cheese?"

his reflection shows it is, in fact, a good look on him. she doesn't quite expect him to beckon her into the camera but... she squishes herself into his side to get into the selfie. he squats down -- ugh -- to make their height difference work for the picture.

and her head turns to look at him for a moment, a grin rising.

"what, you want to remember this?"

this being... the pretty flowers and probably not her struggling to remember his name at first.

she feels heat radiate in her cheeks. and for a moment, she observes the matching crystabloom tucked behind his ear.

faintly, she touches a hand to her cheek. damn, the alcohol is making her hot today, huh?

in a pretty, soft sort of way. she likes it, truthfully.

she grins as he plucks the flower out of its pavement home.

"pretty," she murmurs. whether it's him or the flower, she doesn't say. instead, she reaches out a greedy hand to gently take the crystalline stem from his hand.

and as she places it behind her head, she tilts her head to show him a better angle.

"how does it look?"

pretty like he thought? better than diamonds?

[attr="class","giada i"]luckily enough for him, she's rather forgetful. the thought leaves within minutes, left to die in the streets behind them.

"yes, there's more."

she grins, shifting to pat him softly on the shoulder.

"don't worry, though," she murmurs. "after the first two houses, i should be able to carry the basket."

and he'll be free to escape safely to work without worrying about being held up all night by her. although... is work really the better of the two?

"hopefully you all live a good, long life." the genuine smile accompanying the sentiment solidifies her place as a good person. and it's mostly correct, anyway. she just... happens to like shiny things and money. greed is a sin, sure, but it continues to turn this society into the future.

her fox yawns slightly beneath her touch as if growing tired. another farce, truthfully. they'll work to ensure the picture of contentment, of relaxation, of wholesome bonding. and if it eventually fails them, they'll fight.

for now, she dips her head into a nod and holds his gaze.

"perfect! we'll keep you company until then, okay?" the smile, just barely, grows sharper. "after all, spirits can grow restless around here. safety in numbers, right?"

[attr="class","giada i"]"don't worry, i understand," she offers sympathetically. and really, she does. the grin of a zoroark is, without question, unnerving just as much as it is her favorite. "sometimes, with terrible people or creatures, their smiles hide a lot." and, perhaps, hers does as well.

with the shake of a head, the threat level drops to a lower class. and with it, her plan's success rate rises.

his phone call adds a soft level of danger to the heist. somehow, she's not worried. in fact, her smile widens. she continues on with the role of innocent bystander just as her zoroark does. the fox rumbles softly with content as she continues to shower it in affection. the illusion holds firm, as long as they linger here even.

"friends of yours?" she questions softly. "i could keep you company until they get here, if you'd like?"

and to solidify the concept, she looks to her zoroark for confirmation as if the fox has other things to do.

"surely our dearly departed friends could wait a little longer for us to visit their graves, right?"
