Billi enjoyed this moment! The girl gave him a job, she told him to sort out his stuff, which he had to figure out for himself. Which….he was sure could be sorted out by investigating it more. Maybe he’d get lucky and have relatives in the region. He smirked at the thought. “Yeah of course! I’ll be there monday! Early and ready!” he smiled brightly with a beaming energy level.

“Oh uh thank you!” he took the key card, and whatever else she was giving him. “I’m gonna try and buy a place for me and my pokemon at some point,” he grinned considering he saved up a lot of money from his previous job because everything was paid for. Only thing they didn’t pay for was recreation which….was like free in Hoenn pretty much. “So I’ll talk to me more on Monday! You can call me if you need me”

The forest was always filled with predators and no other insects were top of the line then a classic, and with a wide variety as a spider, and scorpion. Coming in thousands of subspecies it has proven to be an effective hunter among it’s kind, so it only made sense to Billi that these giant versions were even more lethal than one would expect. Now...were they terrible creatures? Maybe in the wild, but a captured one raised around people, they’d be a lot more tolerant of them. It just happened that Billi’s were in competition with each other.

“Oh Alola is a sweet Vacationing spot!” he clapped his hands together as the pokeball was put into his back pocket. The Brood getting closer to the human, staring him down, locking eyes like a predator would. “ssht!” Billi hushed the spiders to return to him. Bili loved his spiders, but damn they were jealous and needlessly aggressive towards strangers sometimes. “There’s a lot of cool bugs! Like uuhhh.. Vivillon! I heard there’s like twenty some patterns! I would love to have one of each it’d be so cooooooollll and their soooooooooooooooooooooooo Pretty” he complimented the little insect pokemons that floated around aimlessly in the wind, and were clearly able to live anywhere.

“I don’t know man….all I know is that what sciency people say. I’m just a bro with a camera and a P.O.V” he shrugged and noticed the Nidoran, “OH my! I’ve never seen one in person before! Only pictures to be honest. Wow he’s a dark boi! Soo spikey,” Billi mentioned as one of his pokeballs fell out of his pocket, releasing his monstrous Corviknight into the forest. The galloping flap of it’s wings exuded pressure into the forest around them. Unfortunately the nearby grass snack got fainted by the pressure / being startled. So the spiders dragged it to Billi as a gift for bothering him. “oh hi big guy..and oh hahaha guess you startled it buddy,” Billi grinned as another pokeball captured the snake before the knight pokemon put the fear of god into the wild nidoran giving a bellowing CAW into the air right as the pokeball hit it.

Day three marked the beginning of the real war. As people fled from their homes days prior, and moved inland, Billi rose to his words to Selena Desmarais, and familial alike. Words echoed in his mind as he loomed over the Lilycove gym horizon. From the rood he could see the denizens of their foe swarm the skys like an angry nest of beedrill. The loud harrowing cries of the far off island gave Billi shivers because he had the reports of bodies rolling up on shore...eaten...and Selena confirmed some of his biggest fears with this war.



There would be no Hoenn, if there was no one to stop this threat, let alone any other region they may encounter. His blue eyes watched as the horde and boats streamlined their way through the perimeter of the beaches, the rhythm of war cries echoed in an eerily quiet city. His Rotom phone had gone off, displaying the message from Selena Desmarais….may they try their best.



Anxiety flowed through Billi as he adjusted the camera on Corviknight’s chest. “Well at the very least...if anything happens to us...as long as the camera remains with battery power it will stream it back across Hoenn, and perhaps some other regions,” The raven looked down at his trainer, eyes prideful and gave one last powerful, CAW to ignite his Joy with Billi, and the Brood remaining in their pokeballs. Billi gave a sad smile, “Thank you Chesto,” he laughed bumping heads with the steel bird.



Somehow deep down, Billi worried that his pokemon wouldn’t follow orders, because he had raised them with such tight familiar bonds, but he needed to be strong for them to, for the people that were screaming from deeper inside Hoenn for help. It wasn’t his war, this wasn’t his responsibility, nor his career, rather it was a choice of selfishness. One he made himself to defend his home and people who lived there. Selena Desmarais had given a job and a home in Lilycove and he wouldn’t forsaken it for anything. Now as he climbed onto Corviknight's back, pride swallowed, fear plugging his throat, hopeful eyes, he gave the corviknight a pat to set off. His flare gun sitting in his pocket in case of needing to gain attention, or a close call was required to use it.



The murder of fliers above posed concerns as Billi tried to avoid some of the dracometor parts that were falling down to lilycove beaches where people were hiding, but the boat…. That was a place neglected and of much defenses at the moment, and would provide much mobility for those who couldn’t swim. Billi thought for a moment before screaming as Chesto turned upside down to avoid a flame thrower sent his way.

The quickness of the sweep, and sudden dropping of Billi onto the boat made him wince in pain, luckily Chesto dropped him Gently to fly off avoiding as much damage as possible. Though it only took about four seconds before the Corviknight ripped a foe right off their mount, crushing it’s talons into their eyes and throwing them to the depth below.



“BILLI HAS ENTERED THE BATTLEFIELD” the iconic smashbros ribbon iconically would appear, but alas, this isn’t a video game, rather a really horrifying war. Quickly standing back up, and running over to the edge of the boat, watching as the purple dragons fired off attacks, and fliers were dropping like flies in a bug zapper. “Oh..my god!” Billi exclaimed before looking for Chesto, who was attacking violently anything that got too close to the ship with his honed claws whilst trying to avoid the draco meteors, even resorting to throwing some of the flier in the way to protect itself. “CHESTO!!!! BE CAREFUL!” he called out to his pokemon and it gave a loud screech in response as it spun avoiding yet another attack.



Turning back around quickly, luckily for him he had been on a boat before, thanks to skyler dross so the seasickness would be avoided, but still flying would be much preferred compared to this floating death trap he had no control over. Looking to his right he saw Ethel Irving, and even farther right, further down the haul, Selena Desmarais. He gave a sigh of relief, as he reached into his pockets, “Okay boys!” he called out as the Brood was released from their confinement, a screech exciting each as they breathed the war filled air, shocking them all, and putting them on edge.



“Okay! We have to be careful, Everyone is fighting and we have to keep the boat standing! Otherwise we can’t protect our home,” he gave them a fistbump to confirm their conviction to the cause. “Europa! Stay up here and protect the drivers! With me!” he commanded the Araquanid that quickly moved and set up his wide guard at what would be the upper part of the sailors haul. Billi quickly moved to hide behind the wide guard as well.



Blue hued eyes moved towards his other spiders, “Io make sure you’re patching up holes with your spider silk. Don’t let them get too close, take them out with your toxic silk before they get here,” Billi told the Ariados as it crawled by the wide guard, releasing it’s toxic web in spurts, its ability to snip helping. Taking a moment to assess he looked closer at his Galvantula, “Ganyemede start trying to throw the meteors back at the boats and fliers,” he snuck out from under the window guard and quickly stuck his electro web around it, and spun, sending the large boulders flying from the air to the enemy ships.



“Defenses set up by the?,... pilots? pit?” Billi called out so everyone could hear him, “If anyone needs help! Signal! Or yell! “ he stated as his pokemon seemed to disagree with helping anyone but Billi.

Billi is on the allied boat at the captain's haul.

Corviknight is attacking npcs, used Honeclaws +1P.Attk & Accuracy. It is releasing Pressure.

Araquanid used Wideguard at the top of the captain’s haul, to protect the ship and the pilots. Billi and spiders are behind it!

Ariados is using Toxic Thread to hit fliers to poison them and immobilized (cuz spider silk is nasty), it is also on guard to repair holes in the ship if they so occur.

Galvantula used Electro Web to catch the meteors and throw them at the ships and fliers, leaving Electrowebs on it, making it coated in electricity.

Billi gave his average energy to this new person, a lot of sunshine, charisma that stuck people to him like glue, and a warmth of a hearth. “Haha very true! I’m used to the hustle bustle of the city where people are always talking and living a day to day city life. Even back home it was loud. Gotta respect the quiet sometimes,” he did believe that silence was an artificial creature of man. Something that only humans found solace, or a few pokemon. Nature had preexisting sounds, wind, water, earth, pokemon, rocks everything made a noise.

“You’re right. A fresh breath of air does the body and mind good too!” just as they spoke about silence, the bushes rustled like gnomes in the forest. Billi’s face turned to this new pokemon that seemed to be minding his own lonesome business, just curious about the noise, as one is then. OH MY GOD. A stinger! A swoop a smuck! Just smack crash and a RAHHH. Just what the hell was Billi witnessing?! Was this Drapion on roids or something? Just what world does this exist in.

Billi stood there dumbfounded at the act of primal nature in front him. It was wild how the circle of life worked but when it stared at Billi, he pointed to himself. “oh me...haha...please no!” he laughed putting his hands on his hips shaking his head, the brood already moving forth. The araquanid hissed loudly as the beast flailed it’s large arms, spitting water all over it, drenching it with a Soak, before the Galvantula laid a trap of electrowebs, as it charged towards then. Electrocuting it thoroughly, almost frying it, but it wasn’t over, oh no. Ariados quickly went for the throat as he Lunged at wild pokemon, taking it out as it viciously lashed several cross poisons, until Billi pokemon the KO’d Drapion, that was clearly damaged and very angry.

“geez man, you guys are soo mean to wild pokemon. But thanks,” he stated to the brood that wandered back into the pushes to look for more prey. “Uh...sorry! Most people don’t like spider pokemon! Did you know Drapion are technically scorpion pokemon which are also technically an arachnid?! So cool!” he asked the person.

Jeez, she was so nice! Walking up to help a dumb blonde secure his stuff because he was too stupid to do so on his own. Naturally he was a bit dim but you’d think he’d have the ability to tighten a strap or two. On the flip side he also didn’t have a mirror, but also realized he could have just used the reflection in the water to see how he looked. Though, again he didn’t really care because now he was strapped in and ready to get to the deep sea diving, even if that wasn’t what Skyler had planned.

“Okay I’m ready now” he cheered with the energy of a thousand suns. “and that’s okay! This is fun!” he stood with some type of himbo pride as his body glistened from light refracting off the water. Oran swam out in the water letting his belly drag along the gentle waves before ramming into a plusle that was minding his own business and was taken out of commission by the force. Poor plusle. Billi threw a pokeball.

He wadded in the water, plunging his face under with the….snorkle? In his mouth as he swam around, bright eyes catching cool sand and other fish as he swam a bit outwards with Skylar. It was all so pretty, and he popped up, “Oh my good! It’s so pretty!” he thought, “Do you have like? A water proof camera?” he asked cuz he wanted some more pictures.

The blonde's eyes lit up as he heard the words ‘monday and start’. It was like a birthday but like a one millionth birthday. One where all the candles couldn’t fit on the cake so you had to use one big candle the size of the cake. “I-i can!” he stated jumping up as the yamper ran around in circles after quickly hopping off. “Oh uhh! Thank you! So much! I won’t let you down.”

He just had to change his outlook and listen to what his mum said. Fuck em. “oh two things,” he stopped dead still, “Do you need anything from me? Like...a visa or something?” he asked before giving a dorky, but widely dumb, “I’ve been staying in hotels paid by my employer...so hahaha can ya help me find a place” arms crossed before hands like metorites slammed into the table, “even a fixer upper deal so I can afford it”

Wow this dude was depressing! Just how much depression could one person outworldly express? Well Billi shouldn’t be one to talk but he ignored it more or less. Sad things happened and it was sad that this man lost a pokemon from a long time ago, or recently who knew. “I’ll keep a look out too buddy!” The cheerful oaf grinned wider as the pokemon were introduced.

“Mine are…” a loud Zap was heard at the edge of the water again. The scent of fried fish wafted over toward the group because the Rotom fried a poor wartortle. Billi gave a pout and threw a pokeball at it. “Jeez did you really have to fry it,” Billi muttered.

Spiders were natural predators, and well….needless to say the poor weepingbell that seemed disinterested was lost in a flurry of web snares and a couple of dangerous lunges. Apparently it was more of a game to these pokemon then survival. Honestly they circled it arguing who beat it first and who got to go get praise! Though Billi could care less, sighing he threw the pokeball at the fainted pokemon. Poor thing.

Now this stranger was friendly at least! So it seemed to the blonde himbo. The cheerful smile peeling on his lips even if he had other things echoing in the back of his head. Like how he was going to defend Lilycove from invaders, keep the gym safe, his home, and more importantly the people. Then again...he wasn’t here to think of such nonsense. Rather he was here to clear his mind and find some kind of physical peace in the solem forest.

“Oh I’m Billi! Nice ta meet ya, those are my Brood!” he laughed as the spiders returned to his side hissing at each other, disagreeing on everything. He shrugged moving towards where the Ledyba was flying, “huh? It’s weird” he stated pausing, “i don’t find it that loud but maybe it’s cuz my life is loud, or my pokemon are. A lot of electric types, bugs and steel!” he mused picking up his pokeball, turning to the strange. “So what brings you to the forest?”

Billi understood what she was saying, he may have been dumb but he could understand the words being woven together with a premise interview. Eyes moved to glow with some varied form of pride in himself. “I’m moving forward because I hate feeling like a burden” words rocketed out of his mouth. “I’m tired of always feeling like I do nothing,” emotions stored in the blondes inner mental cauldron.

She had critiques that he could take, because he had been doing so for most of his life. And it was water off a psyducks back. Though she made the puzzle fit into place. Billi never cared about pleasing everyone, rather he cared about making everyone feel welcome even if they didn’t want it, and to always swallow his pride. It was more of a, treat people with how you want to be treated, something his mother didn’t install on him but rather a teaching of the school system. His mother’s motto was more “Don’t let people diminish your worth,”

He paused, “If there’s one thing I can do is that!” Billi’s confidence peeped up, “I can understand all those voices! That’s why I wanna do more, be more, show more. I am that person.” of course it was easier said than done. He’d have to take down his own walls some and act more proactively like he did back in his streamer days. Taking another deep breath he exhaled slowly. “Where I’m from, people are treated lower by the league, treated like second class people, and my mum died standing up for them.” he grinned awkwardly, “Sadly enough, my picture of the gang wars was what made the newspaper so,” sadly looking at the women. “I can do it! I promise you, even if it hurts, I will do it because no one else will and if I’m the only one, then screw the people who won’t”

Billi kept to himself these days, well not really to himself, more so mumbling over thoughts that would echo in his head as he prepared for things. Lilycove was preparing for the worst as was the rest of the region, and the general public didn’t seem to be aware, and he didn’t want to cause panic prematurely. Instead when people asked him what was going on it was “we are preparing for a storm” he’d say telling everyone like it was reassuring with his pure wide smile.



But...here he was wandering the streets of Rangers setting things up, guidelines being checked papers being thrown, pokemon scattered around. Hell even giant pokemon were out and about trying to fix everything. Selena had informed them of the truth, or at least a large portion to it. They were to either prepare with her or leave, to some degree, but she’d never say it like that. She wasn’t rude nor was she demanding. Professional. As always, but he could sense the worry in her core about a war arising.



‘I will help Selena! Anyway I can’ the words exploded out of his lips earlier that day, and his body shook in fear at the same time. Exactly what was he agreeing to. Surely he could go home to Galar, but that wouldn’t mean safety if the battle was lost. If these people were to win and conquer Hoenn what regions were next?! On top of that he’d lose everything he worked so hard for, every person he met, he’d abandon. Billi couldn’t turn tail and run. It was no different from dungeons in his video games but with respawns and third life.



Billi owed Selena that she owed her for the spark he had ignited inside when he travelled down into the sewers with her. Owing not only her, but his pokemon the respect to keep their home, and their pride as Hoenn’s, and as his pokemon. Tangled knots of nausea appeared in his stomach as he thought of the forthcoming battle for his pokemon’s life. Them fighting tooth and nail for another day, to survive the space invaders. If Billi had anything he knew he had the charisma to keep people happy, to rally behind him, but he wasn’t a fighter. He was a protector, someone who would protect and bring people back and hug them...but war...his pokemon weren’t built for support, nor were they built for battle, considering they were all still weak first stage pokemon, so he had a limited time to train aggressively.



“Maybe…...the rangers can help me,” he thought out loud whispering as he walked through the bustling crowd. Billi worried what pokemon would be best for this, which ones would he have the chance to build a warrior's bond. Corvisquire he knew would do it, he already saved him once, and now Billi knew that Corvisquire was willing to do whatever it took to protect Billi, and whatever Billi wanted, but….he would worry that his pokemon would act on his own if his own if Billi’s well-being was in danger. While his other pokemon from home didn’t make sense to bring because they were only small. While….he did have his spider pokemon. Joltik, Spinark and Dewpider. He was close to them...they were amongst his strongest in terms of spirit.



“Hmmm” The three spiders crawled behind him bickering amongst themselves about what to eat, while Corvisquire was perched on Billi’s shoulder cawing at strangers. “What would mom say Billi,” he slapped his face making blood rush to it. Thinking for a moment as he sat on a bench in a pleasant park being converted into what appeared to be a medical bay. Of course he muttered to himself more not noticing the strange, and how close his corvisquire was to their face.
