He turned around with the snap of realization; he was being watched.

When he ceased his spin, his hand was already following up with throwing out a pokéball.

It's red light kicking out a pokémon from his legion just as he came to recognize the pokémon who'd been watching him.

Rather than have the two psychics battle it out like a Kanto rerun, he instead leaned on Tsukuyomi to psychically bridge the link between his intentions and the Hypno's awareness of his attention.

For many moments the Hypno and Kadabra communed their minds, the latter showing the former all Sénon could offer as a trainer.

The Dream Eater was impressed and set to come along.

Crimsen attempted to befriend Hypno!

SLEEP POWDER wouldn't be help as Baby sputtered onto his belly for a rest. There was no option better than a literal 'psychic sponge' to be pick up baby's slack.

Inkay hit the field and moved on the Cerebral Pokémon with haste and subterfuge. Between a merciless use DISABLE and SLASH, the psychic-type was felled in full.

Crimsen attempted to capture Beheeyem!

He almost missed Adrian snagging a focking rotom! "-shit!"

He had appreciated her willingness to compromise for him but it wasn't until this very moment that he could see with his own eyes just how much that compromise had been a sacrifice she made for him.

It wasn't her that wasn't 'worth' doing it with, but rather the third party that was the League as a government. He wanted them in his love and marriage as much as Cait wanted them in her faith and her worship.

Yet, the idea of her birthing his sons or daughters while they waited for the fighting for rocket to stop to make official their union, felt undermining.

"I'm still against League involvement in marriage." He didn't waver in his stance on that. "-but I need you to know what your place is in my life, and in my future." He took one of her hands into his own. "I still want to plant the tree and have our union ceremony but this, this was the most natural way for me to show you what you've come to mean to me." -and what he was willing to sacrifice for her.

"I want you to marry me Cait."

He looked over the other items on the food truck, recalling his conversation with Balder Schwartz about starting one himself.

Seemed less important now to follow that personal passion given when duties he had on the way.

While he looked he reasoned to Cait further, "Having the twins at home will add a substantial sentimental value to the cabin for all of us, cementing it as our martial home."

It went without saying that any equipment they needed could be bought, rented (or stolen if need be) and he could fly in as many OB-GYNs as she could handle. "If anything goes wrong we have Tsukuyomi and enough Kirlia between the two of us to teleport you safe and stable to any hospital in the region."

He'd yet to come across any unown but each incense he used brought him a pokémon that was otherwise still worth while to him. Still, with only three left after this one, he was hoping to made due on his actual target.

SLEEP POWDER. He caught the Orbeetle with sleeping spores as Baby felt the recoil from his last battle and couldn't risk taking on a bug head on.

Getting back to his feet as Adrian escaped he looked around for a bench to stretch out on.

It felt like they were going to be here a while longer and he was just willing enough to call out some of his more self-sufficient pokemon and let them call their own audibles.

"You're my choice Cait." His voice softened but gaze was determined. The smolder of his hawked stare left little question to be made of his conviction. "I'm in."

"I've loved, lost, lived, laughed, lingered and lamented on my way to being able to properly place my feelings for us." He was going to be thirty soon but meddling as he had in his youth in places he shouldn't have lead to many a mishap that made mere moments into millennia.

After a dozen of 'millennia' 28 felt more like 39. "I don't have cold feet, and I don't have second thoughts." Rearranging his silverware he picked up a dinner knife and softly, the metal clinked the glass, calling the attention of the eyrie of eight about the trees.

Although Crosshairs didn't stir herself, she watched with intent as two fletchinder began and before long each little fletchling had joined in.

It might take a moment to register the pokémon rendition but the tune they richly chirped was one Cait would recognize. Providing a proper distraction that allowed him to slip from his chair.

Once Cait had her moment or two of reprieve Sénon was insistent they hold hands and sway like adolescents at the school dance; he'd missed his having home schooled through jr. high and skipping high school entirely.

The meteor shower washed over their dance, adding a hint of magic to the moment.

Somewhere inside he winced at the idea that life wouldn't always be this sweet...

His pokémon were numerous and healthy.
His investments were numerous and healthy.
Now even Cait was 'numerous' and healthy.

Life wasn't perfect but it was on the rise.

At some point the other shoe was going to drop, and it was a delicate game to be ready to for 'possible future' dramas while still living and enjoying life in the moment. For Sénon, it was better to focus on the latter and the woman in the center of it.

The passing lighting the meteor shower blazed overhead back for a perfect moment to say it.

-gently, he leaned over her a bit to press his forehead to her own. "Happy Anniverysary Cai." He burned all he could remember of this moment into his mind.

Another memory and mark-in-time to come back to when he needed.

He was going to settle for watching her walk ahead; he hardly got to see her cheeks in swimwear.

But the grasp on his hand was a grip on his heart.

Yeah, he mused to himself. Holding her hand is better.

He didn't say it but he smiled it to himself. "Carnivore like me can't judge; eating for three is hard work." Getting out of the sauna didn't seem to quell the heat too much and so his pores remained wide open.

But it was nice to see her assert herself all the same.

He was going to tell their daughters one day what mommy said she would do to the other wood-nymphs if they tried to charm her 'adonis' away.

It was one of the things about Cait her surface-level acquaintances never got to see; how dominant she was when she wanted to be.

He'd seen her make a cooing puddle out of Sabine Calcifet but she always remembered that almost always, he was the dominant force in their relationship.

That ability she had developed to draw hard lines and look the odds in the eye, it didn't have much a place in their relationship but it was functional part of who Cait was and he adored it in its context.

So he look her pinch and her kiss and her no quarrel. Obviously the last thing he wanted was Henry rushing him out the door because Cait had drawn blood from one of her sisters of neighbors for making a pass at him.

He looked into her triangulated iris' and didn't find enough reasonable evidence to doubt her.

Most of his time in Hoenn was spent in reference to why he left Kalos. How long had it been since he'd thought about why he went? "I'd just gone through a break up and taken another defeat at the hands of the Elite Four." It still bothered him at times he wasn't able to become Kanto's Champion.

Sometimes he daydreamed of an alternate reality where he had.

"Kanto felt like a backyard I'd made enough memories in." He'd traded in teenage schooling for life on the road. Go figure, when he left his stomping grounds he left it for the very school structure he'd opted out of. "I wanted a new sandbox to build in."

He stood from the water without hesitation.

He wasn't so relaxed that he'd let Cait wander around here without his protective presence at her back.

and, he could eat. The fried pickles sounded like a miss though. "Since when do you fry your vegetables?"

He was acutely aware she'd dropped the subject on the swinging Silph's but it was something to circle back around to later.
