"Indecisive, that's not good." Seeing the first unown he'd even encountered in Hoenn float by the windows like it was about to crash the soiree, made him lose focus on the kid.

He stood up having moved on from the moment and never disclosing the actual job.

"Keep the pokéball." He nodded in acknowledgement at Boruta. He couldn't quite read the dynamic at hand here and as a new face (CIAN MAHER) arrived he made his exit from the group. "Consider it your severance pay."

The job was still his if he brought his ass along to find out what it was, but the Head Ranger wasn't waiting around nor holding his breath; no modern day elementary student had that much work ethic.

For the sake of his 3rd, 4th and 5th born children ignored that woman (Emma Wolfe) altogether, moving on to the entrance and heading outside he adjusted his bow-tie on the way.

Oh. He'd nearly forgotten about that.

That was a mystery in an of itself wasn't it.

His first guess was that the man was a gastly in disguise. It was plausible but way too stupid to say aloud. So there was probably another answer.

"Maybe he was an avatar." Fernando Silph secreted pink wafts of sweet fumes seemingly dense enough to be a smokescreen in a small enough area. "He sure as hell had some connections to give out these devices."

He had three vouchers to claim any pokémon he wanted from the 'underground' but now that he finally had a species in mind, they didn't have any, anywhere.

Ugh.

"I'd hate to admit it but I haven't seen a single one since I moved here." It had been a whole damn year already. Not that he'd been looking that whole time, or ever. But, if he'd came across one, he'd have remembered.

He stayed low and kept his voice as low among the graves.

"I've been spending more time on the Jagged Pass after my weekly run of the Fiery Path." He was doing the same with the incense he'd stockpiled now that he finally had a heavy enough reason to use them.

He arrived at Adrian's early, only after brief announcement via text.

When he opened the door, Sénon stopped chewing on his thumb's nail.

He held up the original mysterious device, its contents already transferred to his phone. "I'm not missing out on whatever this is." He was serious.

"Get your shit." and he wasn't here to mince words.

He could have gone alone, he kinda looked like he had. Yet, here he was all the same.

If Adrian already had skin in the game, Game the Gambler was willing to bet he wanted more. "Mt. Pyre, Tsukuyomi's all cued up." He pitched his thumb at his Kadabra.

What the hell even was this shit.

It smelled sweet, obviously he could even taste it on his tongue which kinda pissed him off, it felt invasive.

Not just that but apparently it was insistent as hell, more pink mist than white steam.

It swirled about one area moving outward.

Trying to piece together what he was looking at the obvious answer came to him and it was nostalgic as hell.

"Hey! Pass the candy cigarettes or put em away, dick." He would have lit his own candy-flavored roll if it wasn't really goofy health-wise to inebriate in a steam room.

Actual candy was a little more fair game; puff puff pass, ass.

The finger trailing along his chest triggered a deep inhale and controlled exhale as he took in cait's strategy.

"That makes sense." It was for the best to shut down the factory, no point in making so many that they couldn't properly rear them all at once.

In the back of his mind he worried about what children would do to the carnal side of their love-life. It was through conquest of one anothers' body and the pillow talk that followed that spun them out of casual encounters and into something more sustained.

Congress in the bedroom couldn't be the main through-line of their relationship but they were both far too young to be moving on from it.

Also, he wasn't a fan of monthly shots. "No one is sticking you with a little prick every month but me." Damn straight.

Well it had to happen sometime, pokéballs were going to be expensive now.

He didn't know who they sent after him but he was going to get away, they were probably going to make him work for it.

A noctowl emerged from the warehouse, its screech probably telling on him.

Hopping about he went through waking up his body his hand ghosting over his remaining two pokéballs.

"Give me some space." His kadabra obeyed as he plucked off his ball of choice.

The question being; 'where, what and who' was he pulling the ball for?

If you only learned one thing as human living in Kanto, it was 'don't feed the rattata'.

Give them even a morsel and they'd follow you until you fed them again, or until following you led them to something else to eat.

If you took too long to lead them to food, if you didn't have a pokéball to capture them or another pokémon to battle them, the meal might be you.

Obviously Sénon had both, but after capturing the Meowth, the Rattata seemed to want to come with him for protection going as far as seemingly trying to battle Babysaur on Sénon's behalf as if it were already his pokémon.

Rattata used FLAME WHEEL!

Babysaur used SLEEP POWDER!

Damaging but unable to beat the grass-type, the mouse pokémon was claimed, just as it intended.

Taking an abstract path to follow Stormy Silph the Head Ranger was bumped into by a little runt pushing past people two or three times his size like he owned the place.

Impressive.

The most adorable little scowl on his face as he glared on at two faces (boruta maher & Emma Wolfe ) in the distance he was seemingly gunning for.

Following the path he'd cleared Sénon got there just in time to hear the gist of the conversation and see the kid pointing his finger with the intent to kill, emotionally anyway.

His little rockruff seemingly less angry but along for the ride all the same.

Yeah, why not.

With the kids back turned he gave Boruta a wink without actually winking. "Hey kid, don't bother security." Sénon stood over the little brunette, a Chimchar perched on his shoulder; its fur the same wine-color as his trainer's hair.

"In fact, since I'm sure you don't have a date I've got a job for you." Taking a collapsed pokéball from his pocket he took the kids hand slapping the small ball into his palm, but not telling what was inside. "-child labor laws; I can't pay you cash. You like puppies right?"

He had just the one that need a new home. "Now your pack is one stronger. The job; you want it or what?"

The kiss between MATIAS SILPH and Eva Morales made him grin devilishly. "I know right, feels like 2005 again." The stupid grin on his face was a subtle 'congratulations' to the Silph. It was nice to see love and growth spreading like the best kind of weed.

He nodded concurring with Cait's points about their engagement, the timing of their union ceremony and the pregnancy. He winked at Zac Ramsay when cait gave the wedding invite.

Turning to scan the surroundings he took note of Stormy seemingly paused and alone. From what he saw, she approached FERNANDO SILPH and, was that illeana reyes, she looked good in white hair too; damn.

Whoever it was, Stormy didn't get whatever it was she wanted and before long she was on her way out the door.

"Matias, Cait here is Mauville's former grass-type gym leader. I think she's a little starstruck by your new beautiful new green companion." Then he winked at Dr. Eva. "-the other one, I mean."

Before he departed the gathering he turned to wolfgang volkov with another wink no one else could see but Zac. "Save yourself while you can Volkov; never get married."

After playfully slapping volkov's shoulder the redhead turned to kiss Cait on the cheek, leaving her at her most distracted. "Be right back." the last part, he murmured in her ear below the music volume. "Storm chasin'"

He heard her the anger in her voice, fair enough he didn't know what kind of day she was having.

Still it was everyone's own job to seek therapy or solutions to put away their woes. A few inopportune and pestering words aside, they were all adults right?

That was why when the water splashed on his chest and he realized she was standing over him. She did her thing before he could process what was happening.

The pain shot to his brain with needled precision. Her grip was telling; his wasn't her first handful. The pain was just subtle enough it bordered on pleasure. The Head Ranger grit his teeth.

"I think. . . you are," He had on his game face and his words were honest and true but the manner in which he spoke; slow and strained, it was clear he knew the pickle he was in. "a very disagreeable person."

She was squeezing the truth out of him like an oran berry.

"-But you have really really beautiful eyes." If she wasn't backing down, he wasn't either. "by the way, you're supposed to use both of them." With his help, her other hand got a handful as well.

"Ha." He pointed at her, jovial. "I'm just pulling your leg stormborn." He knew about the twins.

He and Cait were were in talks of 'boy or girl and how many of each. They made quick peace with the idea of two kids but were Cait wanted two boys, Sénon was leaning more in the way of two girls, or more fitting perhaps; one of each.

"I know all about the 'double down' coming our way." He was cautiously optimistic and spent his every waking moment ready to provide what she required at a moment's notice. "I want you to know, even if Cait and I become scarce with these new duties you're always welcome to come visit so long as you can hold a baby and/or change a diaper." He wasn't joking, he anticipated Cait of all people getting Cabin Fever before too long. "Ice cream, pizza and a 'Bewitched' binge? You'd crash that slumber party for sure."
