So hard to move against the frantic tensing of a seadragon.

Before any follow up could happen, the gyarados submerged seeking refuge.

It called on all his muscles just to maintain his own willful movements. Damn puffy vest, so hard to reach the pockets while fighting off whiplash.

How big was that net? It must have been stuck on her front half to trap him up too.

Ranton didn't know any better than to panic; she was well trained not to attack out of a pokémon battle, unless Sénon told her to.

From the surface view, through the depths there was a red flare and rising bubbles became less and less.

Shame on him, his eyes went wide in a look of half-shock, which left the other half to be bewilderment. "What?"

He remembered hearing about the Ruins as a kid but he'd missed the note about people going missing.

Once "L" took to his pokéball Sénon released him again.

Probably easier to lure in another unown with the presence of one wasn't it? "So there's stakes to this whole thing?"

Adrian scared off the next couple of wanders but before the eggs could scramble off, Sénon snatched one up.

The rest of the peanut gallery jumped and started their annoying cry. "EX.EGG.CUTE" over and over. Suddenly he was 12 again.

Tsukuyomi rendered a psychic wave and the cluster of pre-hatchlings were easy pickings after that.

Crimsen attempted to capture Exeggcute.

"I-?" He froze under the mention of Serena Malcolm because he was a dirty bird. "Why do you ask?" The eyes of half-bewilderment came back.

With the Safari Zone having changed its cycle weeks ago he couldn't one there anymore; if he wanted more than one, this was probably his last chance for a while.

Still he persisted, despite the convenience of a rare capture, there was a reason he was here.

He tickled at Pearl's snout as Chimchar returned with the empty premiere ball he'd lifted from Sénon's pockets. Holding the ball above his head with both hands like Link when he found like, anything.

"Don't play with me Cait, I know you've heard the song "Area Codes"." As if he couldn't have a punchy ex-girlfriend attending this party.

Sénon actually didn't have an extensive dating history in Hoenn nor Kanto.

In Kalos though, there were a few places he couldn't show his face if he didn't want to get cut.

Speaking of, Cait gave his a second look over and he pointedly dropped the act. "I got hit in the face by a legendary hoof while we were both trying to save a demigod inexplicably falling from the sky." The other story was more believable.

It was mildly shocking that Roman Maher pulled out a knife.

Officially, he became someone worth remembering for the Head Ranger, and the vigilante.

In the moment however, Sénon could only watch the kid flail like an angry magikarp. That kind of boldness and anger had uses when honed and focused but while it was just lashing out, it was useless.

The knife he wielded went into someone else and Sénon's point was proven. Had he made his point aloud a moment before, he too might have sounded cool just now.

At least he still looked cool, beat face and whatnot.

Instead, that shine went to Ji-Hoon who was spared the potential bleed out. He didn't look as frail as he did in the spring, but he still looked anemic enough.

Cait was disappointed but he wasn't so sure. "He'll be alright, he seems to have people batting for him." In the end it was all you could do for a kid.

At some point, they had to start batting for themselves.

Reaching around to put a hand on Cait's belly, he didn't miss a beat of the rhythm of their conversation.

-and her telling him not to get in any trouble was rich.

"Did I see Celebi doing a sky waltz with Tapu Lele?" Not likely he would ever forget seeing something as whimsical as that shit.

It was usually a big mistake grabbing wild pokemon by hand. They didn't trust humans enough to be handled by them and whats more was they hadn't survived in the wilds by being easy to be handled.

The little guy wandered so close it was easy to get a grab on him. The moment he did, it started to shake and buck free.

Though it seemed distracted. "Tsu, calm it down." The kadabra lacked for a specific move to quell the unown but through base psychic ability he could transfer thought and therefore intent quite well.

They didn't want to hurt the wildling, they wanted its help, they needed it.

When Tsukuyomi's eyes ceased glowing telepathic relay, Sénon let go of the unown.

"Easy, easy." The Head Ranger got down in a crouch. "You're what all this fuss is about?" The Symbol Pokémon quirked its monobrow in confusion, but it didn't seem to want to flee anymore.

Crimsen attempted to befriend Unown-L.

As Cait looked at him not unlike she wanted to black his other eye, he looked past her in the distance to see that kid (Roman Maher ) attacking another kid.

The fuck?

Had they been standing around arguing this entire time? Strange. He looked around in the air and piqued his ears for that unforgettable sound; Dialga's cry (ROAR OF TIME).

He saw nothing, he heard nothing, he wrote off nothing. The gods were real and they were watching.

Either the Mahers were dysfunctional as hell or he was experiencing a serious time dilation.

He missed Roman's barb, having noticed the unown in that same moment. He missed Boruta's veiled glare for the same reason.

The kiddie assault, he was seeing that clear as day. As bad a kid as he was (or wasn't) at Roman's age, he never fist fought girls in a fancy ballroom.

He saved it for the side of the roads and in the tall grass, like a goddamn gentleman.

". . . ." If boruta maher couldn't handle his own kid, he was ice-skating uphill thinking he could Captain a city.

The magic, rather than being dispelled a little was intensified by her stern line of questioning.

Despite the pain the redhead was quite jovial about it. "I ran into an ex-girlfriend." One eye fattened shut and that stupid grin on his face. "I pointed you out to her and she clocked me in the eye."

He looked like a wild man; face injured with his hair down and flowing. Like someone put tarzan in a tux.

Chimchar dashed past Melody Miro in the wake of the unown proximity to her.

By the time he gets near here the prizemon is already gone, but he wasn't ready to give up yet.

Taking the pokeball under his arm pit the chimchar chased on after the unown, using its natural strength to climb and jump where applicable. Fearing a scolding he held back so as not to cause any destruction.

Chimchar however, was not.

Getting back to his feet Sénon kept his right eye closed, that side of his face aching instantly.

He must have caught a hoof or knee to the face. Best not to touch it or tend to it.

Ramsay was fine, why the hell was he way up there anyway? Pulled into a hug he laughed off the face pain. Goofy idiots, himself included. "Anytime Zac."

In his disorientation before he'd gotten up after being knocked around by one legendary pokémon, he saw the evidence of another.

Two anothers.

In the distant background flashes of pink and light sprawled about as Celebi danced Tapu Lele. The pink bursts of light illuminating Cait's blue dress and green hair.

Tapping Zac on the gut he excused himself again approaching his Cait and her little Pearl again.

Picking up the latter, that right eyes still closed and quickly 'purpling'.

He'd forgotten it already, Cait was safe, and she looked good. "Miss me?"

It was all instinct when one of his rangers was in trouble. He dashed with Chimchar behind him effectively breaking Zac Ramsay 's fall with something that was part catching him and part being his landing pad.

Or wait, he'd actually been trampled/knocked from the air by Virizion who actually caught Zac. Damn, MATIAS SILPH.

With the cluster of minior keeping the unown under spotlight the soiree turned into a bit of a frenzy as everyone began targeting the psychic. "Hhhhhhnnngg."

Following his instincts Sénon backed off.

With a bunch of people swarming the wildling Sénon's mind flashed to his pregnant fiance in a bit of a cumbersome fancy dress.

He couldn't see Stormy Silph , maybe she'd flown off.

"Where did that damn thing. . ." He'd nearly lost the unown floating about until Zac Ramsay seemingly unleashed a veritable swarm of minior after the unown.

As much as he loved Crosshairs and her eyrie of Fletchling and Fletchinder that Minior cluster was just shamefully cool.

Sénon himself had only managed to catch two during that safari rotation and it feelsbadman.

All the more reason to try and take advantage now.

Of course stormy was out here somewhere and he'd left cait alfric alone; a legendary grass type would only keep her distracted for so long.
