The beach was still a perfect location for a safari. He couldn't complain about the locale now that the summer was on its decline.

Not that cats liked the beach very much, they hated the water and weren't much fans of the sands so Sénon searched more inland than he had the last time around.

The burning carbon and fibers kept him from blacking out a third time.

He seemed to be getting his bearings now that he had taken a breather, his helmet dropped at his side for the moment.

As he cut through the sky on the back of a black charizard he tried to piece together the insanity he'd just pulled himself out of. Tsukuyomi's mental recordings of the goings-ons being played back for the redhead.

Inter-cutting with the flashes from his Kadabra was the recurring sight of a tree surrounded by the most beautiful clear waters.

Suddenly enough, the feed from Tsukuyomi and the image of the tree synced up.

"You saw that tree in the city?" Tsukuyomi's mental projection of a voice clarified.

" I t . a p p e a r e d . a s .
y o u . r e m o v e d . y o u r . h e l m . "

He was... well honestly, he was kinda fucked up.

-lightheaded, not fatigued but sore, he was seeing blotches of neon coloring over his normal vision. He could sneak, pace-sneak even, but he couldn't run; everything felt too tender.

-but he knew obsession when it was crawling into his head.

Even now when he closed his eyes, he could see it.

If he wanted to sleep tonight, to rest and heal both his mind and body. There was only one thing he could do...

"We're going back." Remembering that rampaging red vulture in the sky he turned to Jennika his Wartortle. "Quietly, by sea."

Even set on going back, he was too off his game to go alone.

It was a bit of a strain to work even the smaller muscles needed to use his cell phone.

There was only one person he could call without raising too many questions, "Its me..." and he was elated to hear them pick up. "I need your help."

If Gabriel needed time to get ready, the redhead hadn't set the tone right. From a pokeball, red lights formed to a Drednaw, hiding in its shell, which Sénon sat down upon.

"I'll just wait here." His brows furrowed as he waved off Gabriel Black with a 'oh noooo, take your time, don't worry about it, this isn't a urgent situation at all.' facial expression.

Whatever, maybe Pacifidlog could handle the threat itself.

He could practically smell his own mind burning, forgetful that he himself had been left smoldering some handful of minutes ago.

He saw things (yveltal, reshiram) about the sky that defied reality while something new and nonsensical fought for space in his brain and subconscious.

Tsukuyomi was intrigued by all he saw, sensed and telepathically discovered. Things Sénon would be glad to know when his brain stopped expanding from being blown and then possibly damaged and then blown again.

A Kadabra could process what was happening for a human it was too much.

When it felt like his brain was going to pop from an overload of extreme stimuli he began to pull off his helmet only for Tsukuyomi to follow the Crimsen protocols TELEPORTing the man away before the helmet came off.

What started out as a smirk he couldn't suppress spread into a full grin that then ruptured into a baritone of short but genuine laughter.

Good man. Question the motives, ensure there's something to gained for your cooperation. It was nice to be reminded some men only got sharper with age.

Now that he had a child on the way, he was thinking about what kind of man he was going to be at his peak.

"Profits." He half shrugged, the situation was no more complicated than the motivation of the people he wanted to stop. "Your profits."

"This place is bustling, you do good work." He didn't break eye contact as he laid down the bricks to his path of logic. "I live around here so I noticed." He pointed east again. "-before long, they'll notice too. That's when you'll have to start coming down here for more than oversight and signatures."

One ride wouldn't stop pirates for good but it gave Gabriel the opportunity to begin to set the tone that Slateport wasn't worth the trouble. "i'm giving you a chance to ahead of those who would prey on your progress."

He didn't miss the eyes narrowing, Sénon loved a good squint when he was posturing too. Considering Black's side of things it he also didn't miss that he was being a bit aloof and misleading.

Neither of them really had time for it.

"Good." He snapped his fingers while making pointing gesture. Gabriel Black could swim. "Good. It probably won't even come up." It was just nice to cover the bases.

"Alright here it is." He crossed his arms before the older man. "Rangers deal with problem-pokémon not problem-people but there are rare exceptions. Highest among them, poachers. Or in this case, their seafaring cousins; pirates."

He pointed east out over the sea, "There's a small pirate band on the way to Pacifidlog right now." before putting both arms behind his back.

"I want your help to stop them."

It was dark in the cave so it was hard to see, or maybe Sénon needed glasses.

The crystals gave a little light but they didn't make it easy to make out the face of someone you hadn't seen in years.

In less than a second his body tensed with the impulse to defend himself against the 'attacker' only for flashes of familiarity to come from their movements, her movements.

Then came the hair he would never forget, waking up next to its color in his youth. When she hugged him, her scent took him back an entire decade.

The hug he wrapped her in was involuntary; a hand on her center-back the other on the back of her head.

Reveling in the nostalgia of her presence he closed his eyes. Her embrace telling him things before her mouth could, buried in his shoulder. "Here of all places. . ."

The redhead took a gaze at the small hand on his wristwatch.

He was making good time but these things tended to be time sensitive.

He stepped forward to meet Gabriel at arms length.

"Sénon Game; Hoenn Head Ranger." One of two but, one nonetheless. "Sorry for the informal introduction. I'm a little pressed for time. Your reputation moves like wildfire, apparently you do the same. I've been trying to track you down for a couple of days now." He was high up enough on the league food chain to get the name of the man who ran the slateport docks now.

The untimely business he was tending to wasn't urgent enough for Ranger Game to make a house visit.

Besides the etiquette and professional courtesy of sparing Gabrial Black a house call the matter at hand, and the larger matter beyond it, were things to be spoken of with discretion.

"Can you swim Mr. Black?"

He came to for a second time with a lesser groan, unsure of when he'd went unconscious the second time. ". . . ."

From beyond the airspace of Sootopolis he saw a tower of a water made by a titan and gods of darkness, death, and destruction pushed their agendas in hand with the humans they made pacts with.

It wasn't until he saw the NO MANS LAND where he started, the SUNNY DAY finally burning out, that he realized he wasn't on land at all.

Amaterasu's black wings flapped keeping him in the air.

Gan was still in his Charizard-state and on his back was Jennika who was the most worried about him.

With Jennika jumping into his arms and hugging him tight he groggily returned the ditto to its pokéball as he called for Tsukuyomi who was still taking his forced nap.

A blast of HAZE from the wartortle woke the Kadabra instantly who began to support Amaterasu's flight while taking mental record of the last happenings of Sootopolis' strange geological shifting.

On a whim from all the gods and supernatural occurances about Kadabra was cued to use FUTURE SIGHT over Sootopolis and its airspace. Sénon himself telepathically plugged into the feed of what Tsukuyomi might find.

He made it here first, cait alfric in tow.

He usually was among the first to make it to these things. As far as he was concerned it just meant he was on top of his game again.

Carefully with his phone's camera he recorded the horde of cuties. Not even a sword swinging rule-bender like himself could deny how cute they were.

They were so happy and playful with one another he'd have enough footage to make a suite of videos, stills and gifs.

As other started to arrive he kept the cam rolling trying to catch one of the bunch with one free hand and one spare pokéball.

He missed, and to add insult to injury Raziel Beckett and Adrian Malcolm seemed to show up shortly thereafter and each nab a shiny eevee of their own.

They could keep their shinies, he would get the last laugh when he was first to get an eevee to take on a FIGHTING-TYPE evolution.

He could just see it now.

Or maybe it would look more like...

Hell yeah. Take that Razz and Adrian.

He dared not say he was getting used to the heat. More likely, the summer had hit its peak or was about to and his favorite time of year was rolling in fast.

The SLEEP POWDER remained on the surface of the water where the Wishiwashi wouldn't be affected by it.

That didn't stop the powder from coating the Dratini that surfaced in the area not soon after.

It sneezed once, sneezed again and stretched out for a nap soon after.

She had good points about the education and college fund. He demonstrated intelligence beyond his age from a young age. He wasn't as smart as his mother but he was as tenacious.

After he saw that, he decided he wanted to be a pokémon trainer. But, at age 8 he was still too dumb to live out on his own.

He propelled through his home schooling until he was two years ahead of his coursework; mama's single condition before he could leave to become a trainer. Academically he was ready for the coursework of a 14-year old at the end of age 11.

If she was a genius, Sénon was probably smart enough to skip high school.

When he left home she trusted him just enough to not die and come home if he couldn't hack it out in the 'wilds'. She still threw a few fits and pouts at his father when Sénon didn't come home.

He understood the Alfric standard of education.

He was only allowed to circumvent his own family's equivalent because he proved his intelligence sufficient enough to pursue a life's passion that he found while still quite young.

"I agree. The benefit of free education is something the world should have, I'm damn sure giving it to my kids if I can." He could.

The notions of himself staying in the shadows concerning Game Corner, was a more nuanced issue. So now was a good time for a fitting deflection.

"Are you planning on not, taking my last name?" He sprinkled his tone with a playful bit of challenge.
