Rabbit stretches to reach her, forcing Emma's shoulders to relax. Her fingers wiggle gently to appease the small creature, but her attention is divided.

"Should it?"

The sun had sunk enough that her sunglasses only irritate her. She pulls them off in the same moment it takes for her to turn her cheek to look at him. One of her eyes is bandaged, discreetly and perfectly hidden usually by her glasses.

They had been enemies once, or something close to it. People with very distinct goals and driven to finish them at any cost. Goals that had, at one point, felt drastically different.
