Emi wasn't sure what in the world had possessed her to come out here but here she was. Wandering around the desert searching for some damned pokémon. "We shouldn't have come out here." she complained for the fifth time to Aster who circled ahead as her guide while she was out here. She was certainly packed for the trip, and while she rested she happily gulped down some water. [break][break]

While she was resting she saw something in the distance. Was that a person? She wasn't sure she could trust herself. In her exhaustion she could be seeing things. After rubbing her eyes a few more times and the figures in the distance remaining she figured it was a person after all. "Think we could partner with them? Maybe they could lead us outta here."[break][break]

See while Aster was her guide, they both couldn't remember where they started from. So, with an area such as vast as the desert, they found themselves a bit lost. Quickly gathering her things she jogged over towards the figures in the distance. "Hey!" she called out as she approached. Lifting up her shades to rest atop her head she huffed. "Boy am I glad to see you." she said with a sigh of relief. [break][break]

"Oh, my name's Emi." she said as she held out a hand to the man. "And I am hopelessly lost. Think you could help me out?" she asked with a sheepish grin, "I'd be eternally grateful."

if only he had shades then maybe he wouldn't have to squint against the bright rays of the sun. it's only when she nears that he finally sees her clearly.

her hand is accepted, shaken briefly.

"matias, and sure! no problem."

his exeggutors hum in unison behind him, alerting them to wild pokemon in the area. a small MAGNITUDE shakes all around them, and naturally, he does his best to hold her steady.

when it subsides, various STUN SPORES and SLEEP POWDER are sent across towards the camerupt, followed by a pokeball that stops it from causing any more damage.

"are you out here for a walk in the desert?"

Emi breathed a sigh of relief when the young man agreed to help her out. Funny how she kept finding herself in situations that required her to be rescued by men though. She'd think about what that really meant later. For now she was just thankful to have a way out of this godsforsaken desert. "Nice to meet you Matias, and thanks so much for the help." she said with an emphatic nod. [break][break]

Aster makes a noise that draws her lavender orbs up towards where he was circling before following her gaze in that direction. There she spotted a wild budew. It seemed Matias had his hands full with a wild pokemon of his own. Surely he wouldn't mind if she managed to take advantage of the fortuitous occasion. [break][break]

Snapping her fingers Salem came out of his pokeball with a yawn. One look in Emilia's direction and he knew he needed to get to work. He charged at the budew with FURY SWIPES while Emi waited for the right time to toss her pokeball at it. "are you out here for a walk in the desert?"[break][break]

Matias asked beside her and she shook her head. "Arceus, no." she said before she chuckled and clarified. "I was out here looking for some wild pokemon. Somehow I got lost along the way. I have a bad habit of doing that. I'm honestly not the best with directions."

like in the movie dune, all that surrounds them is sand, though this can't be harvested for anything, really.

the ground shakes and he instinctively reaches out to support her.

"hold that thought."

the STOMPING TANTRUM shakes the ground beneath them, and after a few seconds, a marowak comes into sight. along with a jumpluff! why is it all the way out here?

a few EGG BOMBS get thrown over at the jumpluff along with a single pokeball that smacks against its fluffy head.

"it's alright. the desert can be quite confusing." Matias replied and Emi flashed him a small smile, grateful he was being so understanding. It was honestly strange and embarrassing how often she found herself in this same situation. She was about to repeat how much she appreciated the help but suddenly the ground beneath them begins to tremble and shake. [break][break]

A light gasp escapes her lips as her violet hues grow wide. "hold that thought." Matias said as he reached out and pulled her close to help support her. Emilia's eyes meanwhile scan the vast desert around them searching for the culprit, only for a wild Marowak and Jumpluff to appear. [break][break]

While Matias goes after the Jumpluff, Aster sends a DRAGON PULSE at the Marowak that was causing those tremors. Emilia had no intention of capturing the Marowak though, she just wanted the tremors to stop. Once they subsided she stepped a bit back from Matias and quickly flashed him a smile with a slight bow. "Thanks for the help. I wasn't sure what was going on there for a moment." she admitted with a sheepish laugh.
