Nothing further than public appearances, perhaps, at a few Christmas parties. Brief check-ins to convince people she hadn't jumped off a cliff somewhere. It was the right thing to do.

"You? Any family to visit for the holidays?"

Stormy glances over her shoulder to see him stumble backward with a Zorua now curled up in his arms. She smiles and zips her own coat up tighter to keep out the cold.

She pretends she doesn't see his frown. Even if it makes her feel a pang of guilt to see it. Her gaze drops at his offer and she swallows, looks away.

"Uhh.. no, that's alright. I'm sure I'll see Mattias over the holidays or something."

Unlikely, but she didn't know what else to say. Fortunately, a Pokemon comes into view to distract her from the tense conversation surrounding family and the holidays. She releases an Arcanine to take down the gellatenous Reuniclus. Jelly flies in all directions and the canine comes back damp and a bit green, but otherwise thrilled to be in the field.

A loose pokeball is thrown and Stormy busies herself with that for a moment.
