"Yeah, I'll be over later today." Adrian navigates the redundant back-and-forth as he and Serena fail to successfully hang up on the other. When the call finally ends, he's stuck heading towards the self-checkout at a local mini mart, clicking the phone shut before stuffing it in his pocket. Luckily, due to their heavy influence over the city, he can go about his day freely.[break][break]

But even still, he wears his hair down, allowed the sides to grow out. Anyone who knew him wouldn't be fooled, but the odd citizen might turn a blind eye to him, dressed down as he was. Eventually he'd find an available terminal, and quickly make his way back out onto the city proper after grabbing a receipt.[break][break]

Seeing to his last few errands, he makes his way on foot, eventually arriving to rap his fingers against the front door of Serena's place.

The rhythmic soft padding of bare feet on wooden floors was all that could be heard in her home as Serena paced back and forth. Artemis was playfully weaving in an out of her path as she played with a yarn ball that Serena had gotten for her. Why was Serena pacing though? Simple, because she was stressed.[break][break]

After having some of these conversations with other's she trusted already, a plan had been hatched to get her out of Rocket's grasp once and for all. Before Serena would've left Adrian in the dark but because of the fallout that happened before when they kept secrets from one another, she'd decided to inform her brother early on.[break][break]

A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she continued to pace along her hallway. Artemis' ears perked up at the sound as she paused and mewed at her. Sanguine pools floated down to glance at her Espeon. "I'm alright, you can keep playing." she reassured her. Artemis didn't need to be told twice before she went back to carrying on.[break][break]

Serena would always appreciate how attentive she was to her. Especially when the absence of Cas still softly stung her heart. It was Artemis that helped open her heart up again. Serena heard the soft raps on the door and knew it was her brother. Suddenly the nerves and stress melted now that he was here. Serena quickly made her way over as a series of locks clicking and creaking could be heard before the door swung open.[break][break]

"Took you long enough." she said as she stepped aside to let her brother in. She did a quick glance over him before her eyes twinkled. "What did you bring me?"

"Was I supposed to bring anything?" After brushing off his shoes, Adrian rummages through the bag and tosses a popular Hoenn commodity in the form of a favored snack bag towards her, allowing himself to step inside her home. It smelled to have been cleaned routinely, and treated with air freshener. He should be taking notes down on this sort of thing, really.[break][break]

The contrast between them aside, it was good to feel welcome. He looks for somewhere to set aside his sneakers before he manages to track anything in. After taking a moment to appreciate the furnishings, Adrian gestures away from the foyer, hoping to get off his feet—and to hash some things out.[break][break]

He's not entirely sure what he and Serena will be discussing, but Rowan has been direct enough with him about certain reservations, and Adrian believes Serena may share some of her own. But only time—and an open dialogue—will give him hard answers.
