ELISABETH FIORELLI'S PLOTTER

31 - SHE/HER - BI/HETEROROMANTIC - BIOTERRORIST - ROCKET UNDERBOSS - DUAL-AVATAR

"You will be presented a choice twice. You must make the correct one both times. The first will be to abandon everything you fear. Cut your losses. Remove yourself from everything that has wronged you. You will trudge, but there is a good life waiting for you. One where you HEAL.

"The other will be the one that calls to you. To embrace who you think you are and punish the world for how it has wronged you. Everything you know will push you down this path but it will only lead to your—"

OVERVIEW

BACKGROUND

Kalosian - Black Widow - Poisoner - Former Florist

Elisabeth Fiorelli arrived in Hoenn as a black widow escaping a checkered past in Kalos. She joined the Rocket organization as a black market poisoner, making use of knowledge she had wielded to quietly kill an abusive husband. She was a complicated, lonely woman trying to live two diametrically opposed lives: one where she could be "good," and another where she took out her suffering on others.

Attempts to start her life over as a florist in the Petalburg Woods were always haunted by a vengeful spirit that couldn't leave her, no matter how hard she tried to put the past behind her. That spite propelled her to the role of Rocket admin of intelligence, and finally, to Rocket underboss.

Ultimately, the hurt of her past consumed her when Wo-chien, the Ruinous Beast that served as the embodiment of resentment, chose Elisabeth as its avatar. The resulting parasitic relationship has warped Elisabeth's personality significantly, putting her on a self-destructive path that bodes ill for Hoenn and the looming Ruination.

A personal quest to achieve revenge on likewise resulted in her forming an unexpected alliance with the councilman's former patron, Tapu Fini, giving her access to the very powers that used to terrify her. This combination of supernatural forces results in a maelstrom of conflicting emotions in Elisabeth, and a push-and-pull over her own agency.

PERSONALITY

DISTRUSTING - SELF-INTERESTED - EMOTIONAL - SPITEFUL - IMPULSIVE - LONELY

Elisabeth Fiorelli is a naturally empathetic person whose empathy was twisted and abused so much, it turned her into an embittered, vengeful person who punishes the world for how it wronged her. The acceptance of Wo-chien as her patron was a shattering of her repression, allowing all her raw emotion to pour out at last.

No longer does she pretend she doesn't want the world to answer for her hurt. She now rips open the festering wounds in herself and in others, relishing in the satisfaction of knowing she isn't the only one the world has wronged. She resents the part of herself that wants to let go of her pain, because without it, who is she? What was the point of all her suffering, then?

The result is a self-destructive person who distrusts and lashes out at genuine attempts for care, friendship, and love, unwilling to heal and move on. She lets vengeance and spite rule her, instead, and resents those that seem capable of living happy and content lives.

AVATARSHIPS

RELATIONSHIP TO WO-CHIEN
Of her two patrons, Wo-chien has the most influence over Elisabeth's actions. Having chosen Elisabeth due to her inherent wealth of RESENTMENT for the life she has lived, it has an almost parasitic relationship to her, amplifying the sensation of resentment in her and darkening her thoughts and feelings in order to foster that negativity.

It is symbolic in a way that gardening -- a thing that used to bring Elisabeth peace -- has been ruined for her by the Avatarship, killing anything beautiful she might attempt to grow. Similarly, Wo-chien has destroyed Elisabeth's peace of mind as part of its quest to use her as a vessel for Ruination.

RELATIONSHIP TO TAPU FINI
Tapu Fini is a deity that Elisabeth used to fear after discovering that had been capable of using it to manipulate others. She has chosen Elisabeth due to their mutual affinity for VENGEANCE. Tapu Fini wishes to get revenge on Mewtwo and regain control over Fernando Silph once more, while Elisabeth is quietly looking to achieve her own revenge on the councilman. Theirs is a seemingly distant, mercenary bond, where the deity is content to watch Elisabeth at a distance -- making her own intentions unclear and mysterious.

However, the times when Tapu Fini are present tend to be a calming balance to Elisabeth's personality, silencing the parts of her that Wo-chien normally makes loud and resentful.

(CONTEXT: PLENILUNE)

RELATIONSHIPS

FRIENDSHIPS
Elisabeth's greatest friendships have been put under enormous strain due to her new circumstances. She has taken a more power-hungry, ambitious stance with . She has horrified due to embodying the very part of Avatarship he most fears -- losing control over oneself. She has left with survivor's guilt at being unable to stop her from becoming what she now is.

Likewise, she lets the natural roots of budding relationships die on the vine, abandoning her League friendships as she embraces the part of herself that craves destruction. She resents people like and for daring to think they can be happy. Her hurt prevents her from connecting with others in a true, genuine way.

ROMANCE
Elisabeth's romances all withered to some degree after her Avatarships, leaving those who might care about her either stunned at the revelation that she is not only a Rocket underboss, but a dangerous agent of the Ruination, or affected by the fact she has changed so significantly she is not the person she was before.

She is currently incapable of truly opening up to another person, or giving the emotional care that a relationship would require. She is nothing but the embodiment of scorn and bitterness, unable to understand why people won't love her for who she now is.

ACTIVE:
- : A one-sided affection on Elisabeth's side that is more limerence than love. Trusts him more than she should, pouring out all her secrets to him as she makes him into her safe haven of unconditional acceptance and care. Leaves her deeply vulnerable, and he knows it.

- : A treasonous union forged out of mutual necessity, manipulation, and selfishness. Bonded through similar Avatarships. Suspects that his feelings run deeper than her own.

- : A physical relationship devoid of feelings. Soured by her current Avatarship, as it exaggerates Elisabeth's humanity to a degree Anya finds distasteful.

INACTIVE:
- : First romance after her husband's death. Was unaware Elisabeth was a Rocket. Ended when Rocket captured Silph and removed his eye. Since learning about his abuse of Tapu Fini, has privately sworn vengeance against him. He's aware of her Tapu Fini Avatarship and vendetta, unbeknownst to her.

- : Former long-term romance. Was unaware she was a Rocket. Ghosted by Elisabeth out of guilt after she tortured him during the events of Postdormitum. He has since become aware that she is a Rocket underboss, and despises her for it.

ENEMIES
Enemies come easily to Elisabeth now, with many becoming names on the Tablets of Ruin on Wo-chien's back. She is looking for someone to fight, or someone to let out all her resentfulness and anger on, always. In a way, it is the closest thing she experiences at the moment to joy. She is wholly consumed with her quest to destroy those who have wronged her, which bodes ill for the likes of , , , and others.

She keeps her Tapu Fini personage a secret, practicing the mind-altering mist in private as she seeks to understand how it works so she might wield it, later, on those most deserving of her ire.

NAMES ON THE TABLETS OF RUIN:
- : Elisabeth's greatest enemy is herself. She loathes herself for all the horrible things she's done in order to survive, and hates herself even more for her perceived weaknesses being the cause of so much of her own unhappiness: her empathy, her trusting nature, and her deep capacity to feel.

- : Elisabeth projects the trauma she endured at the hands of her late husband on Fernando, having been greatly disturbed by the discovery he could have altered her mind with Tapu Fini's mist. Cannot forgive herself for having been vulnerable with him, risking finding herself in the same cage a second time.

- : Pursued Elisabeth despite her constant rejection, their banter dissolving into violence and attempts at killing one another long before she outed her Rocket alliance to Hoenn at large. Maintaining an uneasy alliance at present, but the initial grudge itself has not vanished.

- : Even before taking on the council seat, Penny investigated the mysterious florist of Petalburg, sensing something was not quite right. Those suspicions were rewarded when Penny uncovered Elisabeth's Rocket history and Wo-chien Avatarship, both of which she released to AQUA officially.

- : What could have been an alliance between two similar people devolved after Elisabeth was chosen as Tapu Fini's Avatar. Freya rejected the offer to take vengeance against Fernando, despite the fact she'd suffered from the mist he'd used on her. Elisabeth has since wielded the mist on both Freya and those she loves, damning her relationship with the woman forevermore as mortal enemies.

- : In the wake of Elisabeth's Avatarship, her misery and resentment led her to lay waste to the Petalburg Woods that had once been her home and her solace. Eva and Rayquaza moved to restore balance, purging her and Wo-chien from the woods as a pestilence, inviting Elisabeth's anger and fury.

- : Elisabeth despises Isaac for what he represents at his core: the idea that anyone can be saved, no matter how dark their past and history. If this is true, it flies in the face of the very foundation she's damned herself upon, symbolized fittingly through Suicune's Avatarship. She resents Isaac for his ability to purify himself; she views his desire to purify her as a twisting of an old knife, one that keeps reopening the same painful wound in her psyche.

- : Elisabeth has never forgiven Declan for forcing her to put her life on the line during the events of PAAA. However, she understands the hierarchy of her position, and knows this is an indignity she'll always have to endure as a Rocket. Resents him nonetheless for representing the loss of her own agency, and the bitter reminder that she made this choice to shackle herself to the Rocket organization.

PLOT HOOKS

COME INTO MY BOWER
Elisabeth is a chaotic mess, but I am very flexible as her writer! Let her be an antagonist in your story, or a complicated friend, or whatever it is you think might make the most sense!

At the moment the easiest way to make plots with her is through Rocket or League faction conflict. DM me on Discord (Scarlet) if you're interested!
