Oh, the girl from Route 123. What a weird place to run into her again... Or rather, it was a weird change of atmosphere from their first encounter. From waiting for the rain to fighting for an audience... When two trainers' eyes meet, it's a call for a Pokémon battle. Maybe theirs was just a little delayed.[break][break]

Whimsicott drifts in the air in front of him, feeding off the anticipation in the arena. Win or lose, it was going to do its best to put on a show.[break][break]

If Whimsicott notices the dripping bile she inspires, she does not care, or she does not understand. The world is her stage; a spotlight shines on her as and when she wishes.[break][break]

She wishes it. Radiance shines through the crystalline crust, swelling into a sun that blinds through the amethyst. It blinds Alba, too, forcing his eyes away as the two Pokémon clash.

Would it satisfy the pair, to hear the Fairy cry in pain as fangs dig into her? They puncture through the wool and reach the skin, venom adding an extra sting to the bite.[break][break]

If the sight of his oldest Pokémon suffering bothers Alba at all, it doesn't show on his face. This is probably the same expression he wears in a laboratory; clinical, absorbing everything in front of him.[break][break]

He doesn't make any signal to attack, but the patterns of light moving across Whimsicott focus into a Moonblast aimed towards the snake.
