Once again, Hoenn found itself in a time of turmoil. The Giant Chasm, and Area Zero, were both points of contest for the League and Rocket. Of course, they also had to contend with multiple wild cards, in the form of Paradox Pokemon, and whatever else was in the area.

With a rifle in hand, Thomas oversaw the establishment of the newest Research Station. Though the former Elite Four wasn't alone in this endeavor, as was also overseeing the development of Research Stations in the area.

While Thomas kept watch for any immediate threats, Cobalt, his Lucario, pinged the area with his Aura Sense, in an attempt to sniff out any potential threats.

As Thomas waited for his Lucario to report back, the blue jackal suddenly faltered. The normally boisterous and brave Lucario suddenly crumpled into a heap of terror.

Before Thomas could ask, he too felt an overwhelming terror. The man immediately stumbled backwards, his eyes widened, his breathing sharp and quick.

Upon being questioned by Matias, Thomas looked up at his successor. It was clear that some sort of terror had overcome him in that moment. Focusing himself as quickly as he could, Thomas' breathing settled.
