It was another overcast day near Meteor Falls, with rain forecast later on. With the newly-minted Champion trying to keep his divine power under wraps until the Sootopolis invasion discussed at the so-called Gym Jam, he had to go to some truly secluded locations to practice with Swift and get him combat-ready in time. With him being able to use only Spark, he was... underwhelming, to say the least. He had scheduled appointments with both Eva Morales and illeana reyes to figure out why the Raikou was but a shell of the Pokémon in the legend.

One thing that didn't seem to be affected was Swift's great speed. The Raikou could run fast as the legends stated, able to outpace even Josh two Arcanine in a full Extreme Speed sprint. All he could do was get a feel for how Swift behaved and keep trying to bond with the ashen Beast. Drawing a lightning bolt in the air with his RAINBOW FEATHER, electricity raced down the ashes in the feather's wake, coalescing into the form of the legendary Pokémon within.

The excited Champion boarded his prized Beast and leaned as low as he could, bracing himself for the brutal acceleration to come...
