Sweat already rolled down the back of his tank top. His buddy would be miserable in weather like this. It’d also probably sink in a dune.

Eventually, a male Hippowdon appears. “Hold still, Ryusa.” The lumbering beast does as it's told as a harness is tightened around it. The basket of extra eggs he has is lowered into the provided holder. Another Pokemon joined the fray moments later—a still wild, still raging long-necked electric type. The cloud around its neck is a deep gold, with blue markings flowing from its eyes like waterfalls through rock.

The first word comes out gabled, the modulator replacing his faux tones with an electronic rumble. “Ikazuchi will keep watch.” The beast turned to him and snarled. Kazuya chortled.
