Consumed in his rage the Gouging Fire meets the DRAGON PULSE with the same reckless abandon that had been its downfall to Greyson in the first place.

As both flames meet they form a symbiosis of color—blue and red mixing to become a brilliant purple of licking flames. Gouging Fire emerges from that torrent with another cavern shaking roar, fur singed and bleeding, but nevertheless pushing forward with an undeniable will backed by its RAGING FURY.

If the Walking Wake was a lithe, agile hunter, then the Gouging Fire was an unstoppable bulwark of flame and steel.

Just beneath the lip of the cliff is the curling maw of an open cave. Without a word, Greyson descends on a FLOWER SHIELD platform and begins his descent.
