Thomas was genuinely surprised that Michael didn't hear about everything surrounding the coming of 99943 Meteno.

"It's all been confirmed. You remember the coming of 99943 Meteno? The invisible dome that trapped Hoenn? That was connected to the Multiverse, and a group known as the Drk Triad, who hunted down Avatars, and tried to destroy our world to protect the others. Ours wasn't the first, as we found out in The Cloud, which had 'data' from other worlds claimed by their machinations.", he'd explain.

"Met a copy of myself that was still acting in service to Yveltal. It's how I got outed as their former Judge.", he'd admit, slightly bitter.

"Once my wounds have fully healed, I'm going to be looking into leads. It shouldn't take much longer, I got off relatively easy, and my Audinos have been doing a wonderful job, as always.", he'd tell Michael.

"Interesting.", Thomas replied, upon hearing that he had run into the Head Ranger. "Yeah, he's definitely one of the people you can depend on.", he'd remark. To a man like Michael, this remark would hint that Lars was one of his remaining connections to the League.

"Understandable, I'll keep you updated, for sure.", he'd tell Michael. "And if any survivors you come across need medical help, send 'em my way. I have quarantined areas that I can treat them in, if necessary.", he'd offer.

"Yes, and it feels like there's no end in sight, truth be told. Rocket will not stop until they own the world, possibly the multiverse. I know it's hard, but all we can do is stay vigilant, and fight them off at every turn. League might suck, but letting Rocket win would make things far worse.", he'd comment.

Bunni can detect the partial truth coming from him. She gives the man a frown, and a sad look, before continuing to administer aid.

"If you need any help, lemme know, and I'll do what I can to get 'em out.", he'd tell the private eye. A sincere offer, considering he didn't want the surviving Pokemon to suffer the hell of that environment.

"Me? I have yet to hear from Lars. He, or Callan, would be the ones attempting to put together a rescue op, considering how close they are to the Councilwoman. But if they'll have me, I'll gladly join in.", he'd tell Michael.

Truth be told, he did have plans to look into those Rocket had taken prisoner. He was hoping to find out if they were responsible for the disappearance of Andraste Breathnach. But if he found anything that could be useful to the rescue of the captives, he'd gladly hand it over.

A Mist began to form around the area, causing the visibility to diminish. Thomas and Ripper both stopped, looking around for the source of the mist. Soon, something would upheave a Rock towards the Kalosian. Acting fast, Ripper dashed in front of his master, and shattered it with a well-placed Bullet Punch.

The instigator would reveal herself. An Aurorus barreled towards them, firing off an Aurora Beam towards them. Ripper would shield his master, looking on with more annoyance at the dinosaur than anything. In retaliation, he'd lob a volley of Bullet Punches at her. All she could do was cry out in pain as the onslaught of blows caused her to drop to the ground, quickly losing consciousness.

Once the "fight" was over, Thomas signaled to Ripper to move along with him.

Upon reaching the rooftop of a vacant building, Thomas recalled his Hydreigon, before sending out Elvis to Teleport him to a room in a neighboring building he had set up shop in.

"Cover me.", Thomas ordered.

The Beheeyem watched the door, as Thomas hurriedly yanked the helmet off of his head. Drenched in sweat, the man continued to hurriedly strip himself of his gear. As he toweled himself off, Beheeyem let out a series of beep-like cries to his master.

"Looks like I'm gonna need to put in some countermeasures for Disable.", Thomas remarked, as he grabbed the change of clothes he had prepared. A green button-up shirt, a pair of khaki slacks, and simple white sneakers. He would pack up the armor in a special backpack, before having his Beheeyem Teleport him to the outside of the building.

He would then quietly make his way out of the building, to a motorcycle he stashed nearby. He'd make his getaway on his Motorcycle, heading back to the safehouse on the outskirts of the city.

The fact that the Greninja took up watch was of no surprise to Thomas. The frog ninja would be met with no resistance, and even support from the tougher Pokemon on the property, who were already patrolling for threats, or taking to the skies around the property.

The trio of Audino wasted no time in getting to work on Michael. Though it was doubtful how much one session would do for him, they would not let him go without making sure he got some treatment.

"Good to see you, too.", Thomas replied to him with a smile.

He would listen to the man's story of being dragged into the events that transpired. "That sucks, but I'm glad you made it out alive.", he'd reply to Michael. "How did your friend fare? Is she alright?"

"Yeah, I still have friends in high places.", he'd confirm. "Though I can't help but feel like I let them down.", he lamented. "Rocket should never have left with the Stone. On top of that, they took a Councilwoman, and a high ranking Ranger hostage. And one of my personal friends went missing."

The strange shadow-like creature gestured to Thomas to challenge it to battle. Mordred would accept the challenge, stepping up to the small Pokemon.

"Be careful, Mordred. This one might look small, but that doesn't mean they won't be formidable.", he cautioned the Ceruledge.

The Ceruledge nodded, before disappearing with Phantom Force. It would attempt to land a sneak attack on the Marshadow, only for it to disappear into the shadows, before reemerging behind the black knight.

With an angry grunt, the Ceruledge swiped at the Marshadow with his Bitter Blade, only for the Marshadow to duck into the shadows again. This time, it would reemerge with a Shadow Punch uppercut, sending the Ceruledge flying back several feet.

Thomas watched the fight, concentrating on how the Marshadow moved. He would realize that the strange Pokemon moved by utilizing Shadow Sneak to dodge out of the path of attacks.

Once more, the Ceruledge attempted to hack away at the Marshadow with Bitter Blade, only for the ghost to dodge, and to reappear behind him, and smack him on the back in a mock display of Assurance.

The Ceruledge got to one knee, glowering at the Marshadow.

"Mordred, that's enough!", he called out to the Ceruledge, before recalling him, and switching him out for his Alakazam, Freke.

"Time to change tactics.", the Kalosian muttered, pulling out a pocket watch. Upon opening, it would reveal a Keystone in the center of the clockface. Thomas pressed down on it, which caused the Alakazam's Mega Stone to react to it, forming a cocoon around him.

Emerging from the cocoon was a Mega Alakazam.

Thomas would channel his bond with the Psychic-type in order to unleash its Z-Move, Psy-Tempest.

The Alakazam would summon a psionic storm that would sweep the area around them, before concentrating its fury on the Marshadow. The Gloomdweller would attempt to dodge, only to find itself unable to escape the eye of the storm, which practically brutalized the Fighting-type.

In the aftermath of the Psy-Tempest, the field would take on a Psychic Terrain. The Marshadow would attempt to duck into the Shadows again, only to find itself blocked off from doing so, as the Alakazam unleashed Expanding Force across the field.

The Psychic Terrain would cause the attack to gain wide reach, sweeping up the battered Marshadow. In a last act of defiance, the Gloomdweller would unleash a quick Shadow Punch at the Alakazam, causing it to hiss in pain. Despite this, the Alakazam would unleash a point-blank Expanding Force at the Marshadow, bringing it down.

"Good work, Freke!", Thomas called out.

Marshadow Battle

Thomas sat on a chair outside, watching the Pokemon roam the area freely. An Eevee sat on the scarred man's lap, nuzzling into his hand gently as his head was gently stroked. Thomas would give Gene a warm smile.

The quiet moment would soon be distrupted. When a familiar man hobbled onto the grounds, a trio of Audino rushed to the man. Even the presence of the Greninja didn't deter the medics from coming to his aid.

"Navidson.", he'd greet the other man. "Yeah, not exactly my first choice of venue.", he'd remark. "Please, take a seat.", Thomas invited him.

When he'd take a seat, the trio of Audino would immediately begin to check him out. Even if he didn't come for this purpose, seeing him the way he was caused them to spring into action. It was in their nature, after all.

"These are Bunni, Petunia, and DeDe, by the way.", he'd introduce the Slateport native to the trio.

Whatever the message was, it was clear that it shocked him to his core.

As the man rubbed the Audino's ear, the fluffball would try to hold out the stethoscope-like feeler dangling from the bottom of his ear out to the man, as if asking him to rub it.

"I get what you mean.", he'd tell Kazimir. "And to be honest, I'm guilty of that myself. I didn't trust in too many people in the League, far less than I should've.", he'd admit.

Though it had its uses, given that he and Lucas Lane were able to work on the Antidote without interference, it was still a problem. It was why he kept his status as Yveltal's Judge a secret from most in the League, a costly mistake on his part.

"To be honest, I have a lot of regrets, Kaz. And lately, turning my back on the League has been one of them. I feel like I should've done far more, that I should've stuck it out, and tried to change things for the better, than to just go lone wolf.", he'd confide in Kazimir. "If I had just stuck around, maybe we wouldn't have lost the Seal Stone. Maybe Andy would still be here."

The Scizor's grin would soon be turned to shock as he felt his affinity for light attacks being robbed of him. The Dark Role Play would nullify his ability successfully, while giving it to the Alakazam.

"Interesting.", Thomas commented.

The Scizor braced himself for the oncoming Focus Blast, being thrown back several feet, before skidding back on his legs. Thanks to the Calm Mind boost, the attack wouldn't hurt him as much.

Taking a Double Hit stance, Scizor would focus on his opponent, before lunging at the Alakazam with a Bug Bite, attempting to grab and squeeze the Shadow-type with his heavy pincer.
