There was something fun about this kind of tight combat, as the close combat had worked out; it was returned by another attack that Kouji found interesting, Smack Down? It wasn’t one he had come across.

The Hydro Pump struck Urshifu straight in the chest , firing the dark type backwards in an outburst of force, causing its fur to be drenched, and Kouji was sure it would leave a mark at some point. ”Go in tighter, keep your movements concealed.” He said to his pokemon who nodded.

Which is exactly what it had done, charging forward for a close combat, its eyes fixed on the Froakie this time, fists poised to strike, but it was a fast lil’ guy, maybe it wouldn’t be all too simple this time around.

Kouji ran a hand through his hair as he released a long sigh. ”Aye, but that makes anything we plan to do in the future a lot harder…With Kyogre as a loose cannon, and the other two all cozy with the league, you’d almost think this region is rejecting us.” He said with a chuckle as Urshifu lands on the ground after being knocked back by the thrash; turning over he found his feet struggling to stay still as the ground began to crack and splinter.

”I ain’t ever met Lugia, but everyone and their mom is constantly trying to bring that huge sea beast Kyogre under their thumb, we gonna do anything about that?”

He began to dance on his feet, bouncing up and down even if the splintered ground began to dig into his lower paws, the pads at the bottom suffering the cuts from his actions before he jumped forward, ready to deliver a couple of well set strikes, preferring the range of Close Combat over anything else.

Watching the little Larvitar dash forward, Kouji’s Urshifu jumped forward to meet the pokemon directly, as a show of respect; a use of his Wicked Blow, dark energies swirled around his fist, aimed at the softest part of one’s body.

Then again, a Larvitar was a dense, armoured pokemon; finding such a thing wouldn’t be all that easy, so Kouji looked at the battle while talking aloud.

”Aye, but I’ll have to go back out to sea again; better if we can see what routes are the most effective. I ain’t been solidly smuggling for years, the patrols change too often for my liking. Lemme know if you’re ever waiting for something big, I’ll try to deliver it myself.” Especially with that Kyogre in the seas, going nuts; it was a scary time to be living whether you were law abiding, or a criminal.

There was an extra level of difficulty, especially when you were facing the guys that were experienced battlers, those Gym Leaders, and Elite fours who made it their job; the cream of the crop.

But then again, he didn’t let himself get intimidated; he stared across at CIAN MAHER for a moment before he showed his own little band, the thing that kept track of his battles. He wondered just how it would play out if he tried against this gym leader once more. But his face was different, the conditions were different, and he wore the cough mask that covered the lower half of his face.

Kouji couldn’t really look too much more suspicious, but then again his age up had some perks to it, and the fact he was not covering the lower half of his face was one of them. Pushing a stall cart selling stupid trinkets, while battling people here and there. ”Not like it’s all that blood pumping.”

It was someone that caught his eye for a moment, as if they were someone he knew but the second he properly stared at them, Kouji found himself sighing. He was just seeing things, this one here was actually a normal person.
