Remy, the shiny CYCLIZAR zoomed behind the GOLETT, cooing from behind as he stood on his hind legs at the well. He watched as the automaton peered down the well, his claws scraping at the brick.

"Yes. I'm surprised you remember," Diana said, taking her half with a soft "thank you" to her counterpart. She hummed, lifting the bread to her lips before biting into it.

"Delicious, all the same."

"I'm a newer recruit, actually. I didn't expect to be partnered with someone who has supernatural abilities. I assume you're connected to a legendary Pokemon?"

The only one she'd met was ZEKROM, and even then it wasn't as if Remiel was flaunting his powers around like this man was.

And while Amor Rose's thoughts were reasonable...

"Go after it?" She, in fact, did not want to go after whatever noise was making clanging noises in the submarine this late at night. It was freaky enough during the day time, but with the dim lights and the quiet hours with individuals sleeping-

It made her stomach churn.

He was walking toward the door, heading into the hallway. Diana sighed, defeated, as she had no choice but to follow.

[attr="class","diana"]Diana knew, in that moment, that jayden cross was dangerous. This deal she'd made with him was as if she'd sold her soul to a demon. There was no going back from it now.

"Remiel Calcifet..."

She spilled any ounce of knowledge she knew about him. His mother, the queen. His brother, the current ruler of Hammerlocke. His engagement to her at the age of thirteen. Their shared meetings and how he left her for Hoenn. The fall of Hammerlocke in his brother's hands because of his departure.

"If it did that, wouldn't that WALKING WAKE have been stronger? It was terrifying. To me, at least. When it grabbed Cadbury, I thought we were done for. Especially when your REGICE was too tired to shoot another shot."

Her brow was raised skeptically, as though she was questioning the ice Pokemon's power. However, she merely shrugged.

"Though, I suppose all of that could be tested. But, does that mean you want to encounter another one of those beasts to do so?"

An abomination. Truly, it was unnatural. However, "Isn't there a beauty to it, even though it shouldn't exist? It's almost exotic."

AZ Excursion E: Diana & Caden

[attr="class","diana"]Diana almost yelped in surprise when caden maher's arm breached around her shoulders. She was not used to someone being so hands on and touchy. She could slap his hands away, if he hadn't descended down to initiate the plan. Instead, she was left with her face burning an embarrassing shade of red.

This was an important mission! Not play time!

The HYPNOSIS put the group in their lulled state, though Diana had a brief period of time to attack them and knock them out before reinforcements came. She descended, releasing Zeraora.

"Quickly!" It CHARGED...

She grabbed Caden, going to hide them both a safe distance away before... DISCHARGE.

[attr="class","diana"]Meanwhile, Diana was exploring Area Zero for her own benefit, perhaps for her admin howard slayte as well. Tera Shards and structures were surrounding the cavern everywhere. They needed more samples. How did these things grow so quickly?

However, as she knelt in front of such a structure, an explosion of chaos distracted her from her work.

There was a hoard of beasts, chasing a man toward her. Diana cursed under her breath, spotting a small ROTOM phone hovering nearby to record the entire thing. "What an idiot."

Throwing her Poke ball, Cadbury flew above head. "Try to pull them away."

The dragon flew high before charging from the sky, a SKY ATTACK drawing the GREAT TUSK off guard.

[attr="class","diana"]Despite their fight being easier than they thought, it was still hard earned. Cadbury had sustained damage she needed to recover from, and WALKING WAKE had chosen to attack Diana out of the two of them. Being targeted by a legendary Pokemon, even in a bastardized-paradox form, was terrifying.

"The structure in the cave - don't you think it would've taken thousands of years to have built to its structural integrity and height?" she asked, thinking back to the heights the tera crystals displayed.

"The chasm split only several months ago. Surely that hadn't been born over such little time?"

Diana reached for the crystal and the loupe he'd requested, handing it over before placing her hands on her hips. "Do you imagine that, perhaps, that WALKING WAKE was a freshly hatched one? It was weak, weak enough that three Pokemon could handle it. It didn't even use any energy to take us down."

She paused. "These paradox Pokemon only appeared around these tera shards and crystalline structures. And I think they get stronger the longer they've consumed that energy. It's only a theory."

[attr="class","diana"]It seemed that a legendary Pokemon and her own worked as a good team. It was good enough to take down the WALKING WAKE as it attempted one last lunge toward her and disappeared into a flurry of gleaming sparkles.

Perhaps it was tera energy that fueled it. Did it become so powerful because of it?

There seemed to be no trace of it left behind, no tera crystals, nothing at all. Any chance left to examine it was gone with its demise. Diana sighed, retracting Porridge back into his Poke ball as well.

"I say that deserves a good meal and a night's rest, hmm?" she prompted, allowing Howard to lead the way out of the cave.

Her ALTARIA'S cottony down was frazzled, with a few pieces missing from the WALKING WAKE'S FLAMEFLOWER. Luckily, her skin remained in tact, though the previous COTTON GUARD was spent. Diana decided to draw her back into her Poke ball, allowing her ability to take effect and heal the dragon to be used again later.

Though it appeared that Porridge's WATER PULSE helped bring some damage to their opponent. It was rising back to its feet, and Diana was bracing for another attack when-

"Finally."

Another attack from REGICE. "Attack!" Porridge attacked, using DRAGON PULSATING energy to weaken the beast as the ice-beast attacked with its HYPERBEAM.

[attr="class","diana"]While the DRAGON BREATh ensured that Cadbury would be freed — if the mouth full of cotton didn't already — another onslaught of attacks was launched at the dragon. The WALKING WAKE'S anger was targeted to Diana and her Pokemon only.

howard slayte seemed to be an after thought.

Burned, singed cotton scented the cavern, angry squawking coming from the blue bird as she flapped her wings in panic. Her cottony coat was ablaze, as Diana was quick to release her TATSUGIRI to extinguish the flames with a weakened WATER PULSE.

REGICE'S attack caught it off guard, sending it flying into the wall. It was cartoonish how it seemed splattered there, unmoving for a few moments as it tried to regain its power.

"Wait, that's all it can do?" she asked in exasperation.

[attr="class","diana"]The cave held an unwelcoming presence: bodies, scattered about. There was a metallic scent in the air, one that Diana found herself growing more familiar with day by day as one of team Rocket's lackeys.

And, in front of them, the beast.

It regarded them with a calculated look, examining them both closely while deciding what move to make. Perhaps WALKING WAKE was trying to figure out who was the strongest of the two.

Or vice versa — who'd be the easiest to take out before expending all of its energy in an all out battle?

Ice began to coat the ground, as Diana noticed REGICE standing in front of howard slayte. As for her:

An attack. "Cadbury!" Gnashing teeth went for her; however, Cadbury's COTTON GUARD set up a defensive barrier as the ALTARIA protected her trainer. There was an angry squawk from the dragon as its head shook, flailing the bird-like body in the air.

She attacked, using a DRAGON BREATH to direct a shot straight in their opponent's face.
