Time was running out. It was now, or ever. Maverick and his canine dashed through the wilderness of the safari zone, looking for their last capture before he was to return to the exit. His heart raced, wanting to get his money’s worth before it was too late. And just as his final few minutes came, the burnt scarred man spotted the last pokemon he needed in the corner of his eye.[break][break]

Without hesitation, Maverick tossed the sphere at the creature from behind. It clocked it, the creature seeming really puzzled as to what hit it as the sphere sucked the wild pokemon in and locked in place. The ball fell to the earth with a soft thud, wiggling as it tried to escape. “That was close,” he mumbled to himself, waiting for the confirm capture so he could finally leave.

Maverick was truly lost for words. He could hear his partner’s speaking, but his brain couldn’t register it. Warm crimson colored orbs shifted over the writing, not a fan of puzzles even a little. One thing was very clear, this was a trap. Part of him thought about seeing if they should back out now, before they end up dead. But as his gaze lifted to meet theirs, he could tell that wasn’t an option. He swallowed hard, following after this companions surely into their death bed.[break][break]

Upon entering the chamber, the ex gym leader couldn’t help but admire the room. It was something out of the movies or even more, out of those fancy books. Never in his years would’ve enter thought he would see such a place. Yet, here he was. The only down side to this, was it seemed to be another puzzle. Again, not his cup of tea.[break][break]

It was their fearless leader who spoke first, blatantly asking if they should just mess around it the dial. “Uhhh…” the man started, casting John a nervous look, “Do you really think that is wise?” Then, Maverick’s gaze turned to Elaine. He gesture to the puzzle, feeling that she was the brains of the group. “You are good at puzzles, right?” Gaze fell upon said puzzle, already lost just by looking at it. “Because I'm not.”

It was crazy to think that just four years ago, Maverick game to Hoenn in hopes to live a normal life again. After the disastrous started back home, it was a welcoming light.
