near the last known location of regirock's tomb, several trainers have stumbled across an ominous opening. inside, they will find the ruins of the legendary titan, riddled with traps, treasures, and the mystical unknown. no one knows what awaits them but one thing is for sure — a new arc begins. despite the thin veil of peace, the public still faces unease.

after the ultra beast war, hoenn begins to heal. the megalopolan invasion may have failed; however, it is clear there is much more at stake. a prophecy revolving around a cyclical meteoroid, the appearance of necrozma and a dangerous and viral alien threaten the safety of the region once more.
with rocket's new boss, the resurgence and reappearance of the crime syndicate's presence is imminent. the league has done its best to repair its reputation, and with the victory of a war under their belt, perhaps it is enough. but the seeds of distrust have already been sown in the ravaged land of this region, causing many to wonder what will grow?
“Okay Castform! We gotta wait for the other person and we should be ready to go,” Billi’s smile was infectious because the Castform followed in suit. They stood at the base of the Fortree forest where the sounds of many loud noises echoed from within the forest. The goal was to get Castform deep inside the forest where the Ranger base sat on one of the tallest, strongest, and oldest trees inside.
“Well I guess we should prepare guys!” Billi stated as turned to Chesto, the Rookiedee, who enjoyed the sounds, Colbur, the little Joltik, and his new Vileplume that was shy behind Billi. “Okay well let's wait a couple more minutes, because to be honest I only got Rowap giving us directions so I hope someone is better then me!”
Despite it still being summer the weather felt off today, with it's higher than normal winds. Part of him felt like this was already a symbol of the back luck to come today but he did his best not to think it out loud. He had met up with the Rangers at base as they told him what to do and then took off on Shamrock in order to find the trainer who was to be helping him. As he noticed the group of castform floating about a few of them seeming to think that being above the trees was fun he landed to see the blond trainer and his pokemon, "Mr. Marsh?" he asked trying to be professional as being anything less tend to bring up his nerves. [break][break]
The ranger hopped off his Flygon with his Meowstic hanging off his shoulder, "Razz Kingsman," he nodded his head rather than going for a hand shake as per his usual greeting, "I've been told to help you lead these Castform toward the station, so if you can follow me we should hopefully have no trouble," he said part of him hoping that it didn't sound completely rehearsed, even if that is what he did. "Shamrock take the rear," he ordered to which the dragon nodded being obedient for the treat for later as it made sure to fly behind the castform to ensure none drifted off while Razz begun to lead the way.
The world blessed him with what appeared to be a ranger, considering they offered his hand, Billi shook it and smiled. “THANK GOD! Someone that knows where I’m going,” he mused as he noticed the green flying pokemon, who really was a new pokemon to him. “wow you’re a loud fella,” Billi smiled brightly as he looked up at the castform who shifted were huddled together like a big fluffy nimbus cloud. “Okay Chesto go up there and fly with that green one okay! Fly in the front and stay close!” Chesto chirped and flew up above the trees to fly with the castforms.
“I’m Billi!” words filled with excitement and enthusiasm as his feet moved ahead in a random direction. “Hey so we’re supposed to escort these Castform right?!” he asked and cheered, “So like what was the weather supposed to be? Cuz like yeah,” Billi stated feeling the lone droplets landing on them like tiny liquid tickles.
Walking, and eventually following the other’s lead and having his pokemon stride behind him, the small joltik, and the ever shy vileplume that held Billi’s pants. “CASSSTTTFORM” the shrill of the castform up above as the rain hardened only alerted the group to danger as random strikes of flamethrowers were shot with electroballs being flung at them, striking one of them.
“Oh shoot! Hey! Don’t hurt the castform! They just wanna move to somewhere safe!” Billi stated as the Joltik crawled into the trees. “uugg...sooo we need to find out what the hell is happening, cuz they're just being shot,” worry showed on the furrow of his brow. Chesto quickly moved to get slapped with a flamethrower.
"Ni...good to meet you...?" he blutters out when the man introduces himself, his head mixed between 'nice' and 'good' and seemed to just mix the two. If only the ground would swallow him up now so he didn't have to do this anymore. Social interactions we're his thing with new people, and now he was stuck with the mistake. [break][break]
Taking a deep breath he tried to forget about his stupidity as the other asked their question about what they were doing. "Yes, hopefully we won't run into too much trouble," Razz paused to look up as he noticed the sun dimming more as clouds came in the way. Well there goes those hopes, however he couldn't be sure if this was natural change of weather, the weather problems from the region in general, or was this the start of a Rainy Day by a pokemon. Especially now that it was starting to sprinkle in the Summer. "It WAS suppose to be sunny." [break][break]
Then of course the bad had to happen. The ranger turned when the castform cried out as Flamethrowers were being thrown. Razz whistled a long and short one and Shamrock was quick to follow his command as they used DRAGON BREATH in order to counter the FLAMETHROWERS coming at the group. Razz grabbed out a pokeball and called out his Metagross, "Defend them!" he ordered as he pointed at the Castform before looking to Salem "Anything?" he asked who had his eyes closed for a moment before he opened his eyes and nodded at his trainer and told him to follow. [break][break]
"Marsh I think we have a lead do you want to come with and leave this to those three or come with me?" he asked to give the man the option. Whether or not the other chose to go Razz was going to head in the direction Salem instructed to take out whatever it was trying to attack the Castform. Or if it was trainers getting in the way of this.
A Metagross was expelled from it’s pokeball, and flew up like some kind of rocket ship with extra powerful arm boosters as if it’s a mechazoid. It still didn’t bring comfort to the castform who screeched in fear as they weaved their way around flamethrowers and other attacks from both sides. They had to make sure they were following the humans to the right place! Naturally they knew to give the trainers pokemon space to protect them, but even then panic ensued.
Billi watched as the Ranger reacted immediately to the situation as his pokemon struggled to figure out what was going on, except Chesto of course who was flapping his little wings trying to keep up with the big boys, but only valuable enough to take hits and herd the castform together to avoid them dispersing amongst the clouds. While Billi on the ground, stood watching a man who had all the power to fix the problem while he stood there confused and lost. Helpless as always.
Deep down he thought to himself, that maybe if he actually trained and took time to work with his pokemon rather than treating them as just his friends and pets...They’d learn more and be much happier. “No. no! Yeah! Sorry I’ll go with you!” he stuttered for a moment as his feet tracked through the blackened mud around their feet, with Vileplume following close behind. “Colbur!” Billi called out to his Joltik that jumped from tree branch to tree branch, leaving a sticky electro web behind to make sure they wouldn’t get lost.
“Okay thank god,” the woods cleared momentarily and sounds of harrowing violence echoed through the serene rain. Flamethrowers being pelted up as what appeared to be poachers waiting for their chance to strike. “We uuhhhh,” he looked at the little Vileplume, his Rookidee up in the air defending and taking shots, while Colbur watched eagerly. “I still can’t see how many or...what pokemon ya know?” he mentioned as he nudged his vileplume forward. “See if you can put them to sleep okay?” the vileplume nodded and flapped it’s large petals, letting out the gentle white colored spores.
But, they had been spotted. Flamethrowers had begun being throw in their direction.
Up in the sky Cobalt and Shamrock were doing what they could to keep up the defense. Metagross with it's use of Iron Defense and Psychic to drive off the numbers along with Flygon using it's dragon breath and it's own body to counter some of the electrical attacks coming at several of the Castforms who had changed into their water forms with the change of weather. Personally if these poachers were the ones who changed the weather they chose the wrong move. Razz trusted his pokemon to have things handled as he always made sure they could work on their own without his orders. [break][break]
Though while he trusted his partners in the air he wasn't too sure about the partner he had on the ground. Seemed to be too much of a civilian which wasn't bad, but it seemed possibly in over his head. Something of which Razz didn't usually mind especially when he thought of his own screw ups of the past but it did seem to cause him worry now as he wasn't sure how they were going to handle themselves. Though with the sight of poachers and their pokemon sending a flaming fireball coming at them there was little time. The only thing he could do was snap his fingers and point as Salem used his PSYCHIC to grab Billi and his pokemon and toss them to the left to avoid being hit while Razz dodged rolled to the right. "See what you can do to put them to sleep, I'll distract them!" he called out to Billi as that's what it seemed like he was trying before the flames got in the way, leaving Salem with him as Razz brought out another of his pokemon. [break][break]
From the pokeball came an Empoleon and with a simple order of Aqua Jet which she used to smash into a Charmeleon and Pyroar. Thankfully the rain did wonders for making the fire pokemon weaker but there were five of them and one of her if no trainers were being count. All they could do was distract and see if the other could come through. [break][break]
While the ranger was doing his job Salem looked toward Billi and his vileplume as the Meowstic pointed for them to go a different way through the trees to see if they could get closer for the grass pokemon to try and knock out the trainers. Well that was the suggestion but Salem would follow the other if they choose to do something different.
Just how much could Chesto do? The little bird tried and tried and was only met with exhaustion. This was long past his threshold of willpower and usual exercise. But the castform were scared and the two larger pokemon were able to just take a beating like they were berries. All the poor bird could do was herd and make sure the castform stayed on track. Nothing. Has. Changed. Yet could barely keep its eyes open. But it still flew, watching the best it could.
Billi felt useless as the ranger threw out orders and pokemon like a professional, as if this was an everyday job for him, like it was nothing more than a stroll down the city streets. Eyes zoning out as thoughts raced through his mind, echoing, the noise. Just filling his brian until he’s pulled back to his senses by the ranger protecting him from a fireball that was launched towards him like a malware. “s-sure!” Billi stated as he watched the Empoleon lay waste to two mediocre pokemon.
Move up ahead Billi, he told himself as he ran with Colbur on his shoulder, and Vileplume followed quickly behind him. Mup and puddled splashed like mini tsunami’s over his shoes, the terrain slippery and sleek, making friction hard to grasp as his sneakers sunk in like quick baseball in oil. There was five...or something. Just more noise, and more blurs. Fire off from his left side towards the ranger, but again...no trainers. Where the hell were they!
Finally...he found some of them, two getting together their supplies to fire off large nets at the castform. Surely this was it, this was what he was told to do. They noticed him as the bushes rustled and he charged out like breaking down a gate. Billi could tell that they were about to throw the nets quickly grabbing Colbur, “I’m sorry Colbur!” Billi yelled out as he pitched the bug type like a baseball at the nets. Luckily Billi had great aim and it landed in the bundled twin nets, and quickly got to work slashing everything within its “nest”.
Sliding through the mud after pitching the pokemon, the mud splashed out around him like parting the red sea and Vileplume quickly rolled in the mud with him, “VILEPLUME NOW” he called out as the poachers moved towards Colbur, and she obeyed, releasing the mist of white sleep spores that latched onto their eyes like lice and quickly went to work, putting them to sleep. “ha….ha...ha..” smearing mud across his face as he gasped for fresh air in the downpour.
“There’s still THREE POACHERS” Billi yelled out so the ranger could hear him in the distance. The psychic pokemon would most likely detect the other three, two just south of it, and one hidden towards Billi, and perhaps a pokemon that caused the weather change.
As Billi focus on his task Razz does his best to focus on his as he scanned the pokemon. Two Charmeleons, and a Manectric, wait he knows he counted five before this why were two missing? "Take down!" Razz heard a shout from his right seeing a trainer to what he had to guess was the one commanding these few. One of the missing pokemon coming from his blind spot about ready to attack the Ranger if it weren't for Azula using Hydro Pump on the female Pyroar she attacked earlier he would have been down. Least now he's had his target as Razz took out his expandable baton as he ran at Poacher. Once more she tried to get her pokemon to defend her but the priority of Aqua Jet allowed her to get between the remaining pokemon and Razz as the ranger struck her in the neck to knock her down. Even if the Empoleon took a harsh hit of Thunderbolt. [break][break]
With the pokemon's attention now on the Ranger the Castform should no longer be under attack anymore freeing up the three fliers who were trying their best to protect them from above. Metagross worn down from the fire attacks tells both the Rookidee and Flygon to go to their trainers while they stood back to protect the Castform and try to calm them. Flygon nods at this before it goes toward the direction the attacks were coming from coming onto the scene of two Charmeleons using flamethrower on Empoleon. All to to keep her back while the Manectric was about to attack Razz Shamrock quickly getting in the way of the electricity taking it without problem thanks to it's ground typing before it used Earth Power to take out the electric dog. Just the reptiles left.[break][break]
Hopefully Billi was doing better as well. [break][break]
While his trainer was doing what he could with the pokemon Salem made sure to follow Billi, impressed by his quick thinking when it used the Joltik to cut up the nets the people were aiming at the Catform, and relived that the Sleep Powder even worked in the rain. Though Salem had a feeling that it wouldn't last long because of it. When Billi mentioned there was three more the Meowstic closed it's eyes to sense where. It seemed one was the one Razz took down and two more were on their way at them. Using DISARMING VOICE Salem blasted one of them into a tree before using PSYCHIC to keep them there. This did leave 1 poacher and 1 pokemon unaccounted for. Well it did until a Fire Punch was launched at the Vileplume as a Machamp loomed over in front of Billi with the last Pocher not far behind. "You shits are going to pay for getting in the way!" he yelled as before the Machamp attempted to use CROSS POISON on Billy. The man figuring if he could take down one of the assumed Rangers he could use as a hostage against the other and let him get away with the Castform the group had be paid to get.
Everything was happening so fast around him. Sound of rain rumbled around him like golf balls hitting walls. It kept him internally lost and confused. Just as he thought he did an amazing job at protecting the castform, quick thinking and all that jazz. But why did he still feel unaccomplished, like he could have done more! Could be doing more! Razz was doing his best at protecting the castform and fighting back while Billi was throwing his pokemon and using sleep powder on people. Just UGH!
Chesto, high above the trees, flew with the others under the watchful eyes of the others avoiding the damage of incoming, yet fading attacks. “Rook dededededed” it replied to the Metagross in affirmation as it awkwardly flew down towards the trainer he had spotted in the clearing. The Rookie pokemon flew down towards his trainer, keeping them fixated because he was finally relaxed, finally ready for a cookie or something. But….life wouldn’t have it that way.
From above the firepunch look like it threw the poor Vileplume across the universe, slamming it into a bush with a loud cry. Billi’s voice followed quickly “Vileplum-” he was cute off by the man yelling at them as the Machamp was walking up towards him with arms crossed. Terror filled Billi’s voice as it radiated into the rain towards the little chickadee’s earholes. Eyes scanned down further, flapping its wings harder and faster. “ROOK ROOK” he screeched louder trying to tell Billi to run away. Fly faster! Be faster! Get there before it happens! Stop it from hurting Billi! But his wings hurt, his bones hurt, everything. Hurt.
He just needed to make it in time to stop Billi from getting chopped down. “Hey back u-” Billi covered his face to protect his head, as the glow stopped in front of him, smashing mud into the air as if a bomb was dropped. Squealing and Squeaking were the only noises heard as Billi cleared the mud from his lids. Visibly seeing his Rookidee, was now….larger and more like a bird of prey, slashing violently with his talons, feet throwing the hands out of the way pecking at the Machamps eyes. Feathers and groans thrown into the air in a tornado of desperate struggle. Bleu eyes watched in awe as the Corvisquire, his corvisquire violently pushed back the larger pokemon and eventually put it down with minimal damage.
“Ch-chesto?” Billi asked with watery eyes as Joltik and Vileplume returned to his side. In awe he sat there with salty watery eyes as the crow jumped over towards him, gasping in for air that had been expelled from his lungs. “CHESTO” he held the collapsed, fainted pokemon in his arms. “Chesto!!!” he called out some more worried for his pokemon, luckily it wasn’t severely hurt, just exhausted.
It had appeared the human poached had begun to run off and hide somewhere again, but Billi wasn’t concerned with that, and honestly neither were these castform who kept steadily moving towards their new home. “Hey Razz! Does the ranger base. Have like a pokemon center?” he asked with great concern, cradling his crow in his arms.
Just two more, is what he told himself as he looked toward Azula still being held down by the two Charmeleon. He was about to return her until her body begun to glow light blue which was both a bad and a terrible sign. Though for now, "Whirlpool!" he called out and Azlua was able to raise her to summon a large whirlpool to throw at them. With the added bonus of her Torrent ability and the fire weakened by the fire she was able to take the two out finally. Razz ran over to her to check on her injuries and she was hanging in well, "You're amazing you know that?" he complimented to which she smiled at him in a 'you know it matter' before Razz returned her to the pokeball. She definitely needed the rest and he needed to check on Billi to see if he was okay, he'll deal with these idiots after. [break][break]
At first Razz had no clue where the other had gone, though seeing a bit of glowing not far off made him worry so he quickly headed in that direction with Shamrock not far behind him. The site that greeted him was Salem having someone pinned to a tree, two more asleep another running and Billi holding some big pokemon. Was that the small bird from before? Damn it no time, he had most of them at least was what he considered as he ran over to him to check on the bird up and down in his arms, "Thankfully he'll be fine, and yeah the Rangers have a place you can heal him up again, for now just give him time to rest in his pokeball," Razz reassured the other before he took out his phone, "Hold for a minute will you?"[break][break]
With the call he explained the situation and told them he'd wait for back up as he couldn't hold all these guys AND escort the castform. Once he was done with the call he looked back to Billi as he pointed toward the two sleeping men for Shamrock to watch. "Okay listen I need to wait here for back up to collect these guys, if you want you can wait with and we continue to lead the Castform after, shouldn't take too long as it's not far. Or I can have one of my pokemon escort you the rest of the way with them," Razz gave him the option before pausing as a thought came to him. [break][break]
"Umm good job by the way," he attempted to compliment, "I know dealing with situations like this aren't always easy." especially with the weather being as wacky was it was.
Billi worried for his little pokemon! Sure he seemed to be okay and the ranger reassured him that he’d be fine. As long as Billi returned the bird pokemon back to his pokeball everything would be okay. “Okay...I’ll put him in his pokeball,” Billi whispered quietly as he pulled out the ball returning the sweet crow to a safe orb. It wasn’t like it was the end of the world but Billi felt it deep in his soul, that he somehow caused this to his pokemon.
“Yeah i’ll wait” he spoke as he held Vileplume and Colbur close to his chest, keeping them as close as possible for fear they'd get hurt. Vileplume was fine luckily because of the rain preventing any bad burns from the fire punch. It was sad, but Billi had to keep himself together by holding his pokemon close to his body. “I’ll go with you…” he stated as he stood up holding his pokemon like sacs of flour. “I guess I need to get used to it ya know,” he paused again looking at the ground with a distant stare. “We can walk there or something.”
Razz really didn't know what to do for the guy. It seemed like they were new to their pokemon getting hurt in such a way. If he were a better people person the young man first instinct would be to cheer the guy up, but Razz was terrible with people and there was also the big distraction of the fact that several of these people weren't secure yet. Surely the guy wouldn't fault him for giving that slight priority he thought as Razz.grabbed another pokeball and called out Sabrina. The white cat pouting up at him cause how dare he called her out in the rain. "Now isn't the time for that, Shamrock take her to where the other group is Sabrina collect them up," he ordered two which she just rolled her eyes but nodded as she and the Flygon went off. [break][break]
There now with his job off his mind he could properly focus. He had thankfully returned the bird and now was clinging to his other two pokemon like children. Okay come on he can understand worrying for one's pokemon, and while he seemed to agree to come with him you'd think it give Razz a bit more time to think of something to say but he was at a lost. "This isn't really something you have to get use to, I mean its not like all ranger jobs are like this, and you're a civilian so..." he was fumbling with his hands like he was fumbling with his words clearly struggling here. [break][break]
"So its not a big deal if something messes up... and its not like they wont get healed...." It was the sound of a bike that saved him from having to continue thank god. "Sorry just hold again," he asked as he went to the older woman to check who she was and explain everything. Told him how more were on their way but no larger vehicle could get through the trees. Razz showed her the three that were currently down, and how another was down the way to which his pokemon had it handled. He nodded as she called out a Growlithe which put him at unease but at least she excused them saying she would take care of things from there and just to take care of the Castform and that she would send over his pokemon after. [break][break]
Razz walked over to Billi again hoping the time gave him a moment to put himself together again. "You okay to keep going Mr. Marsh?"
Billi panted, breathing deeply into his pokemon, worried about them, worried about everything. Naturally any normal person in a high stress situation would cling to the things he loves and to Billi that was his pokemon. The small creatures that would protect him and keep him company when he lived on his own. “no...I’m okay,” he responded slowly, calmly and breathing hitched. He didn’t know what to do, how to react. Honestly he kinda just felt his soul leave him some.
“No..no i’m okay really...I just need a minute” he paused breathing inward more. His lungs full of wet air as he tried to find himself a peaceful state of mind trying to clear his anxiety for his pokemon. “I..need to at least get the castform where they need to go!” he said standing up holding his pokemon in his large arms. The mud covering them as the rain made the mud like sludge sliding down his face. “You’re right...he’ll be fine, Vileplume is fine, Colbur is fine, and he’ll be fine” he repeated briefly as he rubbed the mud off his face some.
He took a deep breath, “Well...let’s get them to the ranger..station so I can at least heal up and get the mud off me,” he gave a weak smile making his vileplume laugh.
Razz just watched the other as he seemed to do what he could to pull himself together. The ranger patiently waiting as he was in no hurry and he had no doubts that Cobalt was handling the Castform fine on their own. Though honestly the rain was getting on his nerves to it was then he remembered what he was going to do after the poachers were dealt with. Now he had to wait on Billi cause if they guy couldn't bring himself around continuing would be useless. After a few chants to himself to reassure themselves that his pokemon were okay Razz smiled lightly, "That's the spirit," he tried to encourage before giving a loud whistle for Cobalt who was floating up in the air with the water castform all around them. The Megatgross floated down to him with the Castform following as it seemed the steel pokemon was giving them an aura of safety. [break][break]
"Hey any of you know Sunny Day?" Razz asked now that the fire pokemon the poachers were using were being dealt with. A couple of them seemed to dance and nod as a few of them released a cry toward the sky which had Razz covering his ears with how many of them did it. Though by the time they were done the rain seemed to finally come to a stop as the sun was now shinning bright behind the clouds as those were now drifting away. There now it was feeling more like a summer day. "That should make things easier, come on" the Ranger leads the way once more as if nothing had happened before, Salem lifting himself up to hang over his trainer's shoulder after the event. [break][break]
As they walked he thought to himself for a moment before looking over his shoulder, "If it makes you feel better these sort of things get easier with practice, its how I got better," Razz tried to offer not sure if it would help. "Maybe do a few more of these to get yourself some real world practice as I've noticed these things are usually different in comparison to a pokemon battle between trainers." he tried to advise as they continued walking not long after arriving at the Station. Finally what should have been an easy mission was done. [break][break]
"Feel free to go inside and they'll have people there to help heal your team, thanks for your aid" With that he'd make sure to direct Cobalt to where his seniors told him where they wanted the Castform go and eventually wait for his Meowstic and Flygon to arrive.
