LATE SEPTEMBER — as ultra wormholes are sighted in the seas of hoenn, the region begins to be tainted by poisons, the source of which is unknown. parts of hoenn's seas darken with toxic waste, like oil spills. for this reason, head scientist, lucas lane, has entrusted volunteers with a special antidote formula that he has helped create with elite four, thomas benoit's sludge sample.[break][break][break]

this swarm of amped toxtricity chug stagnant water to absorb any toxins. these toxtricity require a thorough flushing. make sure to clear them out with a healthy deluge![break][break][break]

Bea had grown so quickly, so fast. Ruby gently patted the much taller pokemon as they stood calm and poised. Perhaps they were still nervous and shy inside like they always used to be when they were younger, but they had a good face. That determined, driven expression. Ruby simply smiled up at them, slowly walking over towards the swarm of Toxtricity.

Despite being poison types themselves, the dangerous toxins in the water surely wouldn't be good for them either. Ruby patted Bea once more, the Urshifu slowly stepping forwards with a calm, serene grace. Every step calculated, precise. "Go ahead, let's spread some water around. Huh?"

A smile teased at the corners of her Urshifu's lips as it understood. With a sudden flurry of movement, Bea used SURGING STRIKES. Each swing of her limbs sent water flying everywhere. Luckily, they weren't trying to hurt anybody or it seriously could have hurt.

[attr="class","spiral"]"Ah, it's such a shame . . ." Evangeline can't help but bemoan the task she's taken up. Being helpful is naturally a chore, but when it requires you to work against your own interests? Then again, what can you do?

"Maybe we'll be able to catch a few once they're downstream," she sighs before looking at her Tentacruel where she sits in the water, "Clear them out before I change my mind, Surf."

The jellyfish pokemon lifts her tentacles as a ruby-red sheen spreads to cover her body. When she slaps them down on the water's surface the sheen turns to energy and an action that should have caused little more than strong ripples turns the water violent. A massive wave sweeps over the invasive Toxtricity as Evangeline petulantly hides her face and glares at the ground.

Whatever, one more bit of good press to pad her image.

Katherine’s Dewpider was perched atop of the woman’s shoulder, shying away from the ground and instead embracing the comfort that its trainer provided.

Not eager to meet the swarm of Toxtricity - or even come into contact with them - the gym leader opted to stay behind to instruct her spider rather than operate in a rush. “Emma, you do remember we have a job to do, right?”

Reluctantly, the shiny Dewpider reached the ground and took a couple of short steps forward, inching closer to one of the nearby electric-types. “SOAK them, please. Clean them of the poison.”

And just as ordered, the washing begins.

Hilariously enough his Phione was out for the ride... and aiming an inaccurate Rain Dance all over the place.

"Zelle, no!" Alexei exclaimed as it began to rain all around him (and probably soaked anyone else near him too).

"Not on me, over there!" he added in an exasperated tone.

Sighing, he plucked the Phione and aimed her himself, walking around and letting it rain all over everyone as they tried to flush the toxic water away.

- less than 10 antidotes!

When would it end with these strange occurrences? How long would it take the league to figure out the cause of these happenings?

This time it was diluting the infected. "Wartortle; AQUA TAIL." Even with its latent ability to enhance its water-based moves like a Torrent to make them more powerful.

Despite being one of the best in terms of water performers Wartortle had only one water-typed move and AQUA TAIL wouldn't do much to flush these flustered Toxtricity.

Still, they were here, and they could help. So even if their help was only a little, they'd do what they could.

It was to be another simple and easy job.

Clean up some dirty worker-Pokemon, Rufio himself opting to pick up on the Hydro Pump endeavor due to multiple of his Pokemon knowing the move anyways. Arriving on scene with Lockjaw the Croconaw walking beside him the pair would wait until they were directed to their task.

In this Rufio would give Lockjaw a single order.

Use Hydro Pump, but dial it back just a tad...If you knock em' over a bit that's fine, but we're supposed to avoid hurting them apparently...I don't know why they'd request Hydro Pump though....

Snapping open the Croconaw's large maw would begin to gurgle before spitting forth a mass volume of water that spiraled around as it raged forward, though on a lesser degree than typical. Proceeding to clean off the Toxitricity in the area as the other Trainer/Pokemon pairs did their tasks as well.
