Having seen the fact that even Sage seemed to have his own moments of being scared Lapis tries to step up when another ghost comes. This time on the attack. Though the whistling commands his trainer uses seems to confuse him rather than help him battle. So in the end Sage does have to come to the rescue with VINE WHIP, which is only as effective as it is thanks to SOAK. [break][break]

The ranger does make sure to give positive reinforcement for his bravery though.

"So So sobble," the lizard pouts seeming tired and no longer wanting to be here. Razz pondered for a moment as he did have one pokeball left so he leaned down to make a deal. "Tell you what, next poke you at least try to take out on your own and we'll go, you don't even have to win," he offers both pokemon seem offended at first because he's seen how well Lapis has been doing. "Hey come on," he pulls out one of the safari balls, "You took this one out all on your own you can do it again." [break][break]

Sobble pouts but he seems to note to this, just in time as a Purrloin comes into view. Seeming to want to battle to try and be done, amused the Purrloin seemed to agree as she jumps down from the tree she was up to come down with SLASH, "Retreat," Razz orders though even before he did Lapis was already running. Sage offers to pop in but Lapis shakes his head seeming encouraged to try still. See just the right buttons needed to be pressed. [break][break]

It was a short battle before Lapis ended it with a U-TURN as it was clear he was running out of steam. Retreating back to his pokeball, Sage was about to jump in before they both watched the Purrloin fall over in defeat. "See? Told you he could do it," Razz praised before using his final Safari ball to capture the blue Purrloin.
