RESISTANCE SEEMS FUTILE but to give up means death. At least it seems so at first as the Necrozma retreats back into the unknown of Slateport. For the less courageous, fleeing seems like a great idea, but it’s impossible to navigate out of the
DARK ZONE. Whether you decide to eliminate the Ultra Beast to protect the region or you find yourself wrapped up in the battle without a way out, all paths seem to converge as the battle rages on.[break][break]
For every near miss there are a dozen fatalities. Those left unattended will find Necrozma’s influence crushing their will and soul. As their bodies try to resist the Pokemon’s influence they will find the power overwhelming. It forces their body to evolve in order to survive, flailing as their
body undergoes a forced transformation. [break][break]
MOLTRES’ HEAT WAVE incites everyone to rally up against their mutual enemy. The flames shed some light onto the battlefield and for a moment everyone can see both Necrozma and Moltres. It’s as temporary as the attack but enough so for anyone to give chase should they wish to pursue certain death. [break][break]
As both trainer and Pokemon traverse through Slateport they will come to realize that the thicket of darkness does not bend to the laws of physics. It seems reminiscent of a domain before anything else, much like
TRICK ROOM or
MAGIC ROOM, set to alienate them, to render them defenseless as prey as they’re picked off one by one. [break][break]
The sound of Stormy’s
TYRANTRUM dies as it descend into Slateport. It lands without difficulty, taking off immediate in a storm of debris and stone.
ROCK SLIDE and
ANCIENT POWER find their mark but the Necrozma does not falter. It shields itself with its burly forearms, allowing the
TYRRANTRUM to enter striking range. With a deft grapple, it snatches the Pokemon by the throat, crushing its windpipe in a show of force. Unable to reach her
MOLTRES, it throws the
TYRANTRUM, knocking them both out of the sky with an pinpoint pitch. [break][break]
[break][break]
Balder’s Pokemon interfere before the Necrozma can follow up. They too face a similar fate but his
SHIELDON’S PROTECT shields them from the aftershocks. It starts to crack, crumbling from the impact of Necrozma’s on-going battle, failing to hold up despite no direct attacks being thrown their way. Eventually, it crumbles, whisked away in the same manner that the
SHIELDON is as its swept aside by the impact of
SHADOW LUGIA'S SHADOW BLAST. [break][break]
Meanwhile, Katherine’s
COFAGRIGUS looks for an opening amidst the battle with its
PHANTOM FORCE. As sure as the Pokemon fades into the nether realm, so does its expectations of being confronted. It approaches but it does not go unnoticed; Necrozma can feel it. The Ultra Beast impales the
COFAGRIGUS with its sharp nails, its specialized exterior allowing it to physically touch the ghost type Pokemon. The strike is enough to pierce several holes gaping holes, but, as predicted, one touch is just enough. [break][break]
The spectral influence of
COFAGRIGUS’ MUMMY crawls along the Pokemon’s fingers and enlarged hand. In contrast with its sleek, foreign surface, the ability manifests as an invasive, ghastly ooze, causing the
PRISM ARMOR to shed until the Necrozma realizes its own breakdown. Only then does it react, pulsing with energy as the darkness purges the influence of the
MUMMY. The same energy courses along its body, invading the
COFAGRIGUS and melting away the sight of its ethereal hands. [break][break]
[break][break]
What should have been a clean kill is interrupted by Gavin’s
SHADOW LUGIA. The terrible sound announces the Shadow Pokemon’s return and Necrozma is eager for round two. It shields itself against the incoming
THUNDER, blocking the blast with its gigantic claws. Electricity continues to crackles along its surface and that provides enough light for the rest to swarm the beast. [break][break]
Gavin’s
EELEKTRIK, Oscar’s
ZERAORA and
BISHARP, Razz’s
KRABBY and
ZERAORA all join in on the multi-member assault. Most of them find purchase against the Ultra Beast but none are able to put a damper on its efforts. All it’ll take is a clean swipe of both its hands to send the four melee combatants sprawling back if not outright crushed. But the Pokemon never gets that chance. Not when Valerio’s
ONIX appears from underground, leaping out of the ground and restraining the Necrozma with a coiling
SAND TOMB. [break][break]
That last piece of the puzzle is just enough to prevent it from fighting back. For some time, it looks like they finally found an edge. Their attacks land, the Pokemon can’t fight back, and the thought of victory oozes through the cracks of a temporary relief. [break][break]
The fight is far from over. [break][break]
SHADOW LUGA knows this and evades pre-emptively. It’s natural instinct tells it to take to the skies and it departs immediately, ascending to escape what’s to come. [break][break]
Necrozma may hunt in the dark but it derives its power from light. As sure as the yellow
THUNDER, red
HEAT WAVE, blue
PLASMA FIST, and fuchsia
TRICK ROOM provide pockets of illumination in Slateport’s ruin, so do they provide Necrozma a source of energy to corrupt and repurpose. These same colored panels start to flash from Necrozma’s prism until they coagulate into a sphere of white light. The
PRISMATIC LAZER may seem harmless as it fires off in every direction but it burns holes through each and every Pokemon it hits. [break][break]
[break][break]
The
ZERAORA proves surprisingly resistant, undoubtedly due to their origin and bristle fur. They make it out with a slight concussion and being knocked unconscious. The other Pokemon are not as lucky, left with several holes ranging from the size of a mere coin to some as large as a can of soda. Thankfully, none of them are bleeding from their wounds; the light burns tissue and cauterizes exposed flesh immediately. The only worry comes from the invading darkness that seems to crawl into any open orifice it can find. [break][break]
The last Pokemon to come its way is Kyle’s
RAMPARDOS. Such a straight forward attack will never work, evident by the way the Necrozma catches the Pokemon mid-charge, squishing its otherwise indomitable skull into a grotesques and deformed shape. But its opening allows the Silvally to land a critical
AIR SLASH directly on the Necrozma’s prism. Repeated blows to the Pokemon’s only visible body part causes it to shudder and the white crystals that jut from its hands start to glow. [break][break]
Kyle can hear the sound of it charging up some kind of energy attack but his
COSMOEM interferes by sending the Necrozma another series of extra-terrestrial cries. This time the conversation doesn’t last for more than a series of beeps. The Necrozma is loud and demanding. Kyle’s
COSMOEM flinches at the aggression, reclining as it has a choice to make. [break][break]
Obey or die.

- Any rolls that are not 1 or 100 will result in that Pokemon dying.
