the aftermath of the invasion is still very much present in the entire region. not just in the scars that scorched the barren earth but they are also seen in the faces of citizens who dealt with much trauma trying to survive the invasion of cannibal aliens. of course, the proposition to adopt the remaining poipoles and naganadels lurking around is not helpful for their collective healing, that's why selena opted to train somewhere in secrecy.[break][break]

So the rumors were true.

Those fuckin' poison dragons were running amok now. Damn, how she wanted one; and would fail on that wish. Imagine the sort of power it had. The effect of its poison from the tales the ones in the war had. Vesper never really liked poisonous Pokemon though. Apart from Salazzle, she felt that poison was a weak bitch potion. If you wanted to do something, use brute force.

Which is what she was going to do on any Pokemon that she came across. With her Kommo-o out, she strolled openly toward the young woman. "Oi!" she lifted her singular arm to wave "mind if we join ya?" Looked like the Gym Leader in someplace-town. Who cared? Vesper kept her nose low and her eyes peeled. She wasn't a big shot Rocket. If asked, she'd lie. It was what she was good at.

the pinkette is filled with surprise when she is approached by another, strolling towards her and naganadel with her kommo-o.[break][break]

“oh! hi.” her body shifts, seeming uncomfortable. “nope, we don't. do you?” there is emphasis on the last syllable, nodding towards the rare poison dragon by her side.[break][break]

however, akhlys shifts their attention towards the unsuspecting krokorok. it launches a blast of venoshock before selena's spare ball reaches its scaly body.[break][break]

The kid looks uncomfortable, but if Vesper cared about it she didn't care to comment. This bitch was a League folk, so she had to keep her wits about her. Never saw her around the sub, never on jobs... yep. She had to be part of those golden girls and boys. "Thanks" she grunted, ordering her Kommo-o to go off and find something for her.

The dragon paused before suddenly shooting forward, knocking a dark figure from behind its trainer. The Close Combat was effective, and the Weavile was down for the count. "Ha! Sneaky asshole" she crowed, taking out a spare Pokeball and throwing it at the defeated Pokémon. Once the ball did its use, she approached and plucked it from the ground.

Pocketing it into her robe, she flashed a grin at the fellow pinkette. "Lookin' for more Pokemon, eh?" which was obvious but needed to be said "but mind if I ask yer friend there if I can examine it? I promise I won't bite" she smirked, gesturing to the poison type "or do anythin' nasty. I'm a blacksmith and this one screams inspiration." The curves. The edges.

The power. It reeked of muse. If she could get a handle on its design, she could make some wicked things. She'd take out her sketch pad only if the woman allowed it though.

selena eases when the stranger seems comfortable with the naganadel. so comfortable that she even asks her if she can touch them.[break][break]

she chuckles when she hears the woman moans the word “inspiration.” “i don't mind, but akhlys probably would.” the pinkette looks at her dragon who hisses towards her kommo-o. “still want to try?”[break][break]

"Nah I'm not gonna touch it" Vesper corrected, using her singular arm to pull out a small sketch pad. Kommo-o ignored the poisonous dragon, moving forward and using the back of his head so his trainer could rest the pad there. She'd pull out a charcoal pencil, chuckling. "I just wanna admire Akhlys in all their glory."

If she had a camera, she'd ask the dragon to pose. Instead, she stick a tongue out of her lips, quickly sketching the form of the Pokemon down. "If only I could understand ya" she groans dramatically at the dragon "then ya can tell me yer favorite moves, yer favorite foods..." she sighs, trailing off as Kommo-o grunts. A Sandslash appears.

Vesper is quick to offer another Pokemon. With a flash, her Zangoose appears and does battle. "I'll make some goddamn hot armor in your honor, Akhlys" she quickly finishes her sketching, not perturbed if the dragon moves at all. More perturbed if her Kommo-o moves. On the battlefield, Zangoose downs the Sandslash. The woman tosses a spare Pokeball at it. "or maybe a blade... A rapier? Yeah. It's like a needle."

selena fails to contain her giggle when she sees how the other lady meant “admiring” the naganadel. akhlys tilts their head as they watch the other lady scribble on her pad, eyes fixated on them. they jeer before turning their head against her.[break][break]

suddenly, their blood begins to boil again with the sight of an approaching dracozolt. the naganadel lunges with their poison tip and corrupts the poor dragon. selena hurls a pokeball, noting she have to bring it to a nearby pokecenter later after training.[break][break]

“i hope akhlys moving is fine for your sketches. they still need a bit more training in taming themself.” she scoots towards the other lady's rear, hoping to get a good view of her drawing. “may i?”[break][break]

"Taming?" Vesper echoes, one part exhaustive and one part shocked. If the dragon became tame, the wildness would vanish. It'd leave the Pokemon a husk of itself, too stupid and fat on trainer orders. Food brought to them instead of hunting it down. "I don't see anything wrong with yer Pokemon" she barked laughter "if they were some pet, I wouldn't waste my time drawing em!"

The girl would come closer, curious about what she was sketching. Vesper'd tilt it down to her level, revealing a complicated sketch for something so quickly done. It included rough schematics with numbers only that made sense to her. "Ya can't capture how something really shines unless you work away the dirt and rock. Yer Naganadel, though, ain't one of those. They're already a diamond." she grins openly.

In Vesper's humble opinion; let the little fucker run wild.

"Work more on makin' others appreciate and understand Akhlys for who they are" she mused, rubbing a chin.

“oh, so you're one of those, ‘from-the-outside-looking-in’ type of trainers.” selena can barely make out the shape that she knows as the naganadel, but she understands a rough sketch like this is not the finished product. “i respect that.”[break][break]

akhlys begins to growl, hissing at the presence of the shiftry who seems to be taunting it with its leaf fans. the dragon does zooms towards the dark-type and begins their assault, with selena following up with a hurl of her spare capsule to save it from further injuries.[break][break]

she returns to the other lady. “i just don't think other people would appreciate that, especially with this one. that's part of the reason why we're training in secrecy.”[break][break]
