“Use Flash Cannon,” and her Blastoise would launch the projectile of condensed, steel-like might. As to how this flash was considered to be steel in nature, she was never sure.[break][break]

the jellicent doesn't seem to be doing too well with the heat. kyle's perspiration reminds him that the aquatic pokemon wasn't suited in this environment in the first place regardless of its typing. he recalls it and calls out another pokemon that can bring in the force they need for excavation.

"matthew," he calls out for his pokemon as he busies his hands with recalling the jellicent, "steel beam!"

the lucario charges up energy in its palms before it blasts a beam straight towards the target. the shockwave from the move gets kyle to stagger a step behind, although his footing returns back to being stable as soon as the initial blow hits the mark.

Much to the pokemon's delight, Noelle returns her tympole. Instead, a much more fearsome monster is released. A snarl echoes from the hydreigon's throat as it hovers near its trainer, disappointment clear at the lack of a challenger upon its release. "Sorry, no one for you to beat up today aside from a really tough wall." Voice sheepish and apologetic, the dark dragon's cooperation isn't one that's guaranteed when no violence is needed. But, it seems to grumble its acceptance before waiting for further command.

"Flash cannon," she directed her attention towards the obstacle once more. All three maws gaping, a bright, shining beam regurgitates from its widely spread jaws.

Lucas Lane's hand shot back into the fanny pack. He sifts through the pokeballs for a split second before retrieving one, which he swapped out for his current pokemon's.

"Mirror Shot," he barked. In response the ferrothorn secreted a liquid from between its plates. It ran down the metal plating that enveloped its body. Which caused it to reflect the light in the room into a mirror shot.

he can already see the end of the tunnel as soon as they got through the hardened pool of lava into the multiple walls of igneous rocks at the bottom of the cave. to think that meteor falls had this level was surprising itself for a local of hoenn who doesn't particularly care about geology.

the pokemon he has out is replaced with another one when a more difficult obstacle shows itself before them. he takes out his kommo-o to break the wall for him as he lets his lucario rest after the recoil of his move.

"dragon tail."

the dragon-type spins and slams the tail at the wall, making the initial crack in the wall for the others to follow up on. it appears small at first, but it's all they need for the fracture to continue seamlessly.

"Dragon tail." Lucas echoed the command Bailey had given her Kapow. Streaks of brown energy surround the tyrantrum's tail and dissipate upon colliding with the rock.

Returning her previous pokemon, Noelle soon releases the next. This time, its her salamence. The dragon makes its appearance known with a roar and hefty flap of crimson hued wings before awaiting further command. Letting a hand stroke along its neck in a brief greeting, she wastes no time in issuing her order. "Dragon claw," she commands, watching as the scaled beasts' talons alight with a mystic glow before striking the next tile in tandem with her companions.

THE WHOLE CHAMBER QUAKES. around you, the magma bursts into pillars. FOUR HEATRAN crawl out from a crack in the wall, traveling across the cave walls like spiders. Aggravated by your presence, the Heatran attack immediately. However, those with the keenest of eyes, would be able to spot an unusual stone altar on the other side of the chamber. In its center, a small spherical slot remains curiously vacant.[break][break][break]

It is clear that escape is not possible without some sort of fight, for the Heatran are swift and able to traverse this treacherous terrain with ease.[break][break][break]

the appearance of the heatran were alarming. he doesn't know what they're called and what they're capable of, but kyle assumes they're fire-type pokemon, mostly because they live on magma.

as they start to crowd their space, kyle quickly sends out one of his stronger pokemon and replaces the kommo-o on the field. he'd rather test the waters with ranged attacks than risk his pokemon getting in close quarters.

"gigavolt havoc!"

the manectric appears from its ball and charges up its move. electricity start to cluster up around the pokemon before it explodes in a massive bolt of lightning, striking one of the four heatran squarely with it.

Like cockroaches the four Heatran scurried out the snaking cracks in the wall. Angered by the group's presence the four of them attacked within moments.

Quickly Lucas opened his fanny pack and released an aerodactyl. Seconds after it materialized its body contorted. Skin peeled away as rock encrusted bones jut out all along its body.

"Hyper Beam!"
