For once in her life, Katherine found herself agreeing with Fernando Silph. He was right. They should worry about themselves. Lord knows that she wasn’t concerned with their well-being anymore. She did not want a repeat of last time: she didn’t want someone to stop her from pursuing answers.

Where they found animosity in Giratina’s attacks and demeanor, she found a challenge. The legendary threw down the gauntlet, but she’ll be the one to retrieve it. The onslaught of attacks and moves that batter against Giratina fails to strike a chord in her heart. The fact the very earth she was standing upon shook violently failed to frighten her.

Giratina’s deafening roar trumped any fear that could have made Kat turn away.

mateo martinez’s OVERHEAT is met with an INFERNO conjured by the Chandelure Katherine summons. Fire meets fire. Flames dance along flames. It grows bigger, brighter - and all the more dangerous. Both attacks combined together promise a grand, incandescent explosion. One that could, potentially, swallow them all within its area of impact.

This image, standing before her lord, is seared into her memory as if having been burnt by the same flames the fire-type attacks produced.

“Write your gospel in my flesh,“ Katherine was standing before her god. It was only natural for her to pray. She utters the hushed words under her breath, sharing them only with her lord and herself.

“Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust.”

Her eyes close down before the final part is spoken.

“Let none deny us.”

"would you cut that shit out!" he'd take hold of Katherine Fairburne's wrist with his masculine strength. she could attempt to fight the trainer off, but there was little chance for her to do so with all that occurred. he'd pull her close into his chest in order to take cover alongside FERNANDO SILPH and Stormy Silph far from the heat.

A lot hangs on the line, but even more hangs on the tip of Katherine’s tongue. Words beg to be freed from the constraints of her mouth. And yet, for a person who was notorious for not holding back her words or cowering in fear, Katherine remains both motionless and speechless.

She could never have imagined that she would witness such beauty— such power again. Giratina defies expectations in the same manner that it defies the laws of physics as Kat knows them.

When the Legendary finally casts its gaze upon Katherine, she stares in return: just as she had when they first met. And just as nothing about their meeting was natural, neither is the fact that she halts herself from interrupting it. Her truth is held back, kept under lock and key until Giratina is finished.

Her silence is short-lived, lips finally parting to utter out a single word:

“Yes.”

Katherine sucks a breath through tight teeth, drawing in the intoxicating air of the distortion world. Her body, mind, and soul. She will be its vessel.

“I am yours.”

And so will Hoenn be. Katherine swears herself to her lord knowing that such words carry a deadly promise, one that could jeopardize the safety of her home region. She will be the one to bring Arceus's exiled son back into their realm.

A bone-chilling breeze sweeps through the air, the sort of graveyard kiss promising bad news to follow. Her eyes burned akin to flames in a skull, ferocious and unrelenting. She found solace in staring deep into the scarlet-red eyes of the Renegade Pokemon. They brought upon the realization that Katherine did have an equal, someone she would be content ruling alongside with.

“Hoenn shall be yours— ours. None shall stand in our way, Giratina. You’ve shown me your realm's beauty,” The inklings of a smirk touch at her lips, arrogant and vain. “And I promise you will soon have mine.”

AFTER KATHERINE'S SPEECH, the Giratina surges toward her. However, there is no physical collision. Instead, it phases inside of her like a spectral wave and disappears. Briefly, her eyes flash red as she assumes her new powers.[break][break]

katherine can tap into origin forme giratina's ability to turn into anti-matter. this allows her to phase through inanimate objects and pull them into the DISTORTION WORLD. she can also slip between reality and the distortion world at whim; however, she can only stay within the distortion world for a temporary period of time before she must eject herself due to the realm's disorienting effects.
katherine can pull the distortion world into reality. within a limited range, this will create a projection of the distortion world that prevents anyone or anything from escaping or entering for a temporary period of time. inside this projected distortion world, katherine can manipulate physics to a degree. she can change the direction of gravity as well as increase or decrease its pull. the full extent of these effects will be determined by a moderator in events.
katherine's pokemon can not be subjected to trapping or binding moves, able to phase out of them by becoming partially anti-matter; however, this effect does not extend to any other application.
feel free to add origin forme giratina to your party and choose its moves like a gachapon pokemon. origin forme giratina is not in a pokeball and instead will phase out of giratina as if it were using SHADOW FORCE. origin forme giratina will find it difficult to maintain its forme in reality, thus necessitating the use of katherine as a vessel.

THE BLESSING may seem like a curse to the others. The transition of power is sudden and Katherine Fairburne has little time to grow accustomed to her powers in this dreadful plane. Although she immediately feels comfortable in this distorted dimension, the others begin to suffer further from its effects.[break][break]

As the party escapes, The Malevolent would be able to hear the Giratina's voice. Again, she sees an image of the odd stone; greed fills her chest like sprawling thorn bushes. This Giratina wants it— and wants it before the other one can take it.[break][break]
