AS THE MAGNETIC FIELDS ARE NEUTRALIZED, the party forges on ahead. The ground is a mixture of steel plates, rocky ground, and black shadows. Occasionally, one would be able to spot a Probopass floating around with its "Mini-Noses" hovering about like drones. The cave seems clear of obstacles— until you encounter invisible STEALTH ROCKS.[break][break][break]

You may roleplay one of the following scenarios:[break]

One of you accidentally sets the STEALTH ROCKS off, causing isolated explosions and a cave-in that you must break through.[break][break]

Or you can notice the STEALTH ROCKS beforehand and break the STEALTH ROCKS apart before progressing further into the cave.

AN ODD, INTACT ARTIFACT reveals itself. Upon further inspection, it seems as if the shards you have excavated are of the same material. This rectangular slab is pulled from the rubble of the cave-in. After being dusted off, one can feel engravings on its back. It reads:[break][break][break]

"The power of defeated giants..."

Furthermore, as the party attempts to clear the cave-in, they discover a large tunnel. It's narrow and gazing down its pitch black corridor is almost nauseating, for vertigo seems to strike even when everything is dark. An odd howling of sound can be heard deep within. Perhaps, this will be another route for you to take once you've cleared the cave-in enough to move.[break][break][break]

A strange slab... How interesting. Ruby was quick to pick it up, slowly dusting off the remaining rubble from the weird artifact. It seemed to even have engravings on it, writing? How peculiar. Just how old was this thing? Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than her would be able to shine some proper light on the subject. [break][break]

Ruby would carry it gently in her hand as they proceeded, only for her eyebrows to raise slowly as she heard the strange howling sound. What was down there? What was truly within these caves? Quickly sending out her Swampert Laguna, the amphibian stood proudly as he stared at the cave in before them.[break][break]

"Come on Laguna, break it up. But be careful, alright? We don't want the roof to cave down on our heads." With a polite nod, the Swampert firmly placed its legs onto the ground, shifting as it summoned a small localized EARTHQUAKE to remove some of the rubble to continue down the path. [break]

As soon as the rock collapsed, the cavern began to rumble. Things seemed to be getting dire and they needed to get things done quicker. "Shit." Balder called back Duraludon right away. "Guys, we gotta pump it up real quick before it caves in!"[break][break]

As soon as the steel dragon was in its pokeball, the man proceeded to throw another pokeball in the air, calling his Tyranitar. "Use earthquake now! Stabilize the cavern and shatter these rocks!" The creature proceeded to jump onto the ground, sending a tremor into the ground to shatter the soil and explode the rocks of the Stealth Rock while also attempting to stabilize the cavern's quake.

Chu-e has no idea what that strange plate is in the wall and he isn't sure he cares! Salvation of some sort is on the other side, he can practically smell it. Calling back Breezy, he instead calls out his Trapinch.

"I think we just need a little more to break through, right? Well... Earthquake it down, girl!" The Trapinch seems flustered but hops forward, digging her powerful mandibles into the ground in front of the obstruction, ripping up a large chunk that shakes the ground with effort. She looks proud of herself.

What the hell was that?

Lars blinked, there was something that caught his eye and he picked it up.

“Hey, look at this...” he muttered as he picked up the plate. Seeing that everyone else was throwing Ground-type attacks at the wall, he knew that he had the exact companion for this.

“Ryujin, go! Earthquake!” he called out, summoning the Swampert in a flash of red light. Without further ado, the dual-type threw herself at the wall, summoning up the power of said Earthquake in the power of a punch—or was it a body check?

The wall shook as the Swampert lobbed herself at the wall...

AS THE CAVE-IN IS CLEARED, the whole chamber quakes. Although the rubble is cleared enough for safe passage, the cave's walls' integrity has been compromised. A violent fissure travels from the wall to the ground you all stand on. Suddenly, the sound of a large crack alerts everyone to their apparent dilemma. The floor begins to fall out from underneath them.[break][break][break]

As everyone falls, they see a vast cavern system filled with magma. If the falling rock wasn't dangerous enough, the magma below belches and surges with incredible heat. Find a way to safely land or be smothered by rock and magma.[break][break][break]

The floor begins to crack, and perhaps it's too late. Maybe so many earthquakes all in one place wasn't exactly the best of ideas. Regardless, the ground begins to crack open beneath them and before she knew it, they began to fall. Instinctively, Ruby clung straight to her Swampert, shouting desperately as they began to fall. [break][break]

Magma. Why did it have to be magma down there? Her eyes wide and terrified, Ruby quickly called out for her Swampert to act as they fell. "MUDDY WATER! Now!" The incredibly protective pokemon didn't even hesitate. They immediately began to blow out a huge blast of dirty water, intent to attempt to cool the magma at least somewhat, so it wasn't so dangerous for them to land on, assuming they even survived the fall. Perhaps the water itself might even lend to a safer landing, albeit quite the dirty one. [break]

The ground shatters under their feet, triggering a fall. Balder proceeded to call his Tyranitar back as the ground collapsed, avoiding to let it go into a free fall. Its weight would make it fall faster after all. But now, they had to handle surviving the rocks... and the magma waiting for them at the end.[break][break]

"Lars, do something to avoid our death! I'll save Ruby!" Upon making this statement, Balder grabbed a special pokeball from his belt, throwing it at Ruby. The Zeraora emerged, grabbing the lady right away. It then looked at Balder. "Keep her safe, I'll be fine!" Hopefully the mythical creature would be able to keep the girl safe.

When the flood starts to give out, Chu-e reacts quickly. He calls out his Drampa, the dragon type instantly alerted to the strange scenario. Chu-e grabs on and hopes on his back just in time- and even manages to return his Trapinch before she can be thrown into the laval below.

Thankfully, his Drampa knows Fly, so he is able to float down with a surprising grace to a more stable area. While not his main worry, he does hope the other three are alright.

And the wall shattered. Before he could realize what was going on, the floor caved out underneath them—oh, fucking shit!

“CHE CAZZO!” he shouted, his footing literally going out from under him as he quickly recalled his Swampert to save Ryujin the horror of falling into... oh, fucking hell!

The entire place was on fire, this was terrible—how the fuck—

He didn’t want to reveal himself early. Not especially in front of so many people who didn’t know about its existence!

But did he have any choice?

“Fuck this shit!” he yelled, concentrating on breaking his fall before the wings of ice burst out from behind him, slowing his fall considerably. But the heat was too much—he could feel the ice wavering and melting.

“SHIT!” he shouted again. “It’s too fucking HOT!”

Seeing that Ruby was falling and basically not hanging onto anything, he forced himself to fly through the heat to catch the Saint of Slateport—before she fell into the lava.

EVERYONE LANDS SAFELY. The dramatic sweeping of stone, wind, and water are accompanied by the mighty presence of a Groudon. Magma bubbles all around them, churning hellishly like a crimson ichor. Occasionally, the party would be able to see a Slugma or Magcargo leisurely crawling across the walls.[break][break][break]

Something or several things roar deeper in the cave. Ancient footprints can be seen carved into the walls should you examine carefully; however, the party quickly finds out that they must be careful, for any misplaced zagreus-step could result in an impromptu trip through Styx.[break][break][break]

After getting to relative safety, very relative, Chu-e decides that the back of his Drampa is apparently his safest bet. Yet... well... this place is super fucked up. Still, he wants to push forward and it seems like his team does as well.

Calling out a Piloswine, the poor thing not even named, he points at a weak point in the wall and has her use Ancient Power. With that done, he looks around to make sure the other three in his party are actually, still, you know. Alive and all.

This was not a safe place to be, not at all. Literal magma was not but a few feet away from them. One wrong step and they were toast, literally. Ruby quickly took a few moments to calm herself, breathing in and out. It was hot and sticky, but thankfully the Zeraora managed to ensure her safety before she could even land.[break][break]

Making sure to give them a proper pat on the head before turning her attention to the cave walls up ahead. This called for something a bit special. Sending out Opal, one of her oldest, both literally and metaphorically pokemon, the Aurorus roared out after being summoned. "ANCIENT POWER. Get us through here, we need to find a safe place."[break][break]

The fossil pokemon roared out once more as the rocks around them began to shake, displaying her true prehistoric power.[break]
