Zac's Snap Catch Route 117 | Solo Wild
THEME Back to basics. Zac thought, as he took a deep breath of the fresh, Route 117 air. It was morning, and the luxurious banks of grass were still sparkling with dew. It's a good time to be outside. And a fantastic time to be out here with Devin. It's been too long. "You ready mate?" He asked, and Devin gave him the signal. The red light flicked on. "Howzit goin' Rippers! It's Zac Ramsay here with another Zac's Snap Catch!" He boomed, voice carrying over the hills and startling some nearby Bunnelby. "Today we're here in Route 117 just for a little look at some of what mother nature has to offer."He pointed over to where a little Bunnelby had poked its head back out of its hole to watch him. "That Bunnelby is part of the local colony. A super-colony actually. As soon as the weather gets warmer you'll see an explosion in their numbers, and come mid-spring this band of burrowing, bouncing bunnies will hit numbers peaking in the tens of thousands!"Devin panned the camera across the warren, where the rabbits had reemerged and were chewing placidly on the greenery. "When that happens, these little hoppers will spread out to nearby routes to establish their own burrows or join some of the ones already extant there." Zac walked across the hill, and Devin followed with the hand cam. At the peak, the redheaded host pointed down at a spread of flowers clustered between two of the verdant hills. "Pokemon are everywhere out here, and are experts at keeping their presence a secret. Whether it be maintaining a low profile by living underground, or hiding in plain sight, you can be sure that pokemon are barely a few steps away, and you wouldn't be blamed for mistaking that patch of roses for a natural flowerbed, but if we get a little closer you can just make out the sleepy faces of a snoozing grove of Roselia." Devin zoomed in on the little plants, which were almost indistinguishable from regular roses while bunched together and sleeping. "They cluster together like that for protection against their natural predators. Big herbivores like Aggron, Tropius, and Rapidash." Zac said with a grin. "That's right! That flaming filly has a ferocious fixture on our floral friends." He clambered further down the hill. At the bottom, he gestured over at the blooms. "Most of the Roselia here have got either red or blue flowers, but you can spot a few in there where their natural coloration has come through a few shades lighter or darker." Zac said, and Devin panned over the patch, where purple, pink, and even turquoise flowers were nestled among the sea of red and blue. "In Kalos there are breeders who specialise in Roselia. They grow them in every color of Ho-oh's trail. It's common to see a few out here in the wild with non-standard colouring, but the genes are recessive most times, so they duck and weave through the gene pool like a spooked Zigzagoon." Zac took a step back from the garden to let Devin get some close up shots. Man it feels great to be back out here, just spreading truth about the natural world.
