selena stands in front of a huge fire engulfing the entire temple while residents and monks flee the vicinity. there is no conclusion as to what started the fire but the locals believed it is caused by the fireworks lighted at the town center.[break][break]

the gym leader of the nearby city lilycove is immediately called to attention to help send reinforcements that will assist the operation and save any relics left.[break][break]

“save the people and pokemons first. i will get whatever items are salvageable.”[break][break]

while the rangers' party is busy dousing the largening flames, she and agatha begins to jump into the roaring fire.[break][break]

not realizing someone is following her lead.[break][break]

He arrived as fast as he could, skipping on traditional means of travel Kadabra was able to jump him here all the way from Foretree using TELEPORT. The moment they arrived the ranger grabbed the psychic type the head pressing his forehead to its forehead, passing on precise thoughts and instructions. "Go now!"

Disappearing with teleport again the Kabadra was gone and Sénon rounded a corner to find the active rangers working to douse the flames with water. He didn't know exactly what was inside but all the same relics were relics and if they had a better way to solve the problem as rangers they were beholden to use it.

"Cut the water!" He found the ranger in charge and luckily enough Sénon held superior rank. "Cut the water, you'll destroy the relics!"

As the water ceased he moved quickly to put in an alternative plan. "All of you who have psychic-type pokémon, or rock-types with arms release them now!" After a moment over a dozen psychic and rock types loitered the grounds. "Does any pokémon here know PSYCHIC TERRAIN?!" An old ranger raised his hand pointing to a Braixen in the gathering.

"Gan." The ranger pointed his Ditto to the Braixen. "TRANSFORM!"

the gym leader herself sees the impossibility of such task, trying to save the temple from absolute destruction when the fire has already taken enough damage for the structure to be a few minutes away from being a pile of ash. the only thing that's left to do now is to really save the items. and while she's just getting into the point of avoiding the use of water, someone has already beat her to it.[break][break]

“that quick thinking is very commendable,” she greets the redhead as she gets out with a few of the temple stuff dangling over her body. “there are still a lot inside but the flames is the biggest problem. and by the way, i have a psychic rapidash that can do it but i don't know what's your plan with the psychic terrain.”[break][break]

pegasus leaps from her capsule in a blazing red light, in which her trainer wonders if it's from the natural light of the pokeball or the reflection of the flames around them.[break][break]

With his new Braixen form Gan only hastes for the moment it takes to receive his orders. "Find the center of the Temple, sit and use PSYCHIC TERRAIN." As a fire-type Braixen would be hardly harmed by the fire while given the psychic types the boost they needed to do the real work.

"Rangers; order your pokémon to put out the flames using their psychic power." As the rangers looked around as if confused by the concept, Kadabra returned with the pokéballs his master sent him to retrieve.

"Kadabra, show them what I mean." With a nod the pure-psychic type extended his hand using PSYCHIC to isolate a sprawl of flames denying it the oxygen it needed to sustain itself and ultimately suffocating it.

Once demonstrated the other Psychics and their trainers seemed to understand just fine. "LIGHT BARRIERs can also be used to protect important artifacts from the flames." Pitching a pokéball a Murkrow landed on the ranger's shoulder spreading its little winds in anticipation of what it was usually ordered to do. "USE TAILWIND!"

With boosts of speed the active pokémon could get the job done and save lives and property with swift action. "Now MOVE!"

Turning to Selena as she approached, "I remember you from Lilycove, against the Megaloloplans." Not allowing himself to be distracted for too long he helped unload her burdens. "Thanks for getting in there and saving these things, are you alright yourself?"

“don't worry about me, i'm all good.” her eyes follow Sénon Game's kadabra do the trick he's telling his subordinates. “but i guess we should worry about that. i think i heard some people are still inside the temple.”[break][break]

if they will deprive the flames of oxygen, the people inside may get suffocated too. selena crosses her arms while biting on her finger nails trying to devise a plan b from the senior ranger's idea.[break][break]

“maybe we don't have to put it out altogether just yet? bring the fire outside then that's where we douse it with water-moves. how about that?”[break][break]

The idea that people were still inside the building wasn't great news. He wasn't sure what he expected but it was probably out of the question that a temple be on fire and not have people inside it.

"Snuffing out the fires won't hurt the people inside." Psychically putting out the flames was the best way to stop the fire without further damage to the property but her input reminded him that he'd forgotten about something regarding the survivors; smoke inhalation. "But now that you mention it..."

He put his arms gesturing for one of the water pokémon to hose him down. "Stopping the flames wont clear out the smoke." He spoke loud enough for not just the Gym Leader to hear but the other ranger's as well.

"Anyone still inside could pass out from smoke inhalation before the temple naturally airs itself out!" With the Psychic-types already inside putting out the flames a chosen few would be needed to search for civilians still inside. "If you have a rock-type use the buddy system to go in and clear the temple of stragglers!"

"You're Selena right?" He'd only recently begun studying up on Hoenn's gym leaders, wanted to begin the battle circuit soon to earn his eight badges. "I'd hate to boss you around, but can you organize the rest of these guys to use flying-type moves to blow away the smoke while I find survivors?" He pointed to the shrinking flames on the top and side of the building. "The psychics should be done in another minute or two! Blast us when the flames go out!"

Trusting her to trust him he ran inside without wasting another second.

the pinkette gives a reassuring smile as she watches the redhead leap into fire.[break][break]

“you've heard the man, use your flying-types to blow away the smoke!”[break][break]

she doesn't order to bring out the psychic types though, because she finds merit on summoning them. the powered psychic terrain continues to linger in the coastal town, her own electrical surge clashing with the carnation atmosphere and producing sparks.[break][break]

“pegasus, you can use psychic power to take off the fire. can you do that for me?”[break][break]

Getting his clothes wet and covered in soot was just an excuse to shop for some new threads. Cait would be happy they had a practical reason to hit the mall. She'd be far less happy with melted flesh if he could avoid it, so he moved quickly reminding himself the slightest of burns could be healed and not to let any pains slow his search.

Systematically he started on the top floor where the fire was raging the strongest.

With the Psychic-types speed boosted by TAILWIND the fires were dying out every second. Water was every where on the top floor but it was clear of people, save for one man. Selena had done a good job getting out the initial civilians. The male smaller than the ranger
was easier carried over his shoulder.

As the psychics hustled about working in tandem with one another like one big hive mind of conjoined thoughts they had all but put out all the fires as he returned to the first floor seeing a young woman dragging her unconscious father out by his hands.

The smoke irritated his eyes and without hesitation he took one of the father's hands to help her with the dragging, doing anything he could to lighten her load. "THIS WAY!" He yelled to her over the commotion as the two on their feet pulled/carried the two passed out men to safety.

The air blasts from the flying types now kicking in in the wake the fires being fully snuffed out.

“They're getting out! Bring me the healers!”

The pinkette rushes at the temple entrance on her rapidash as the primarina follows. Sénon Game's party would have been welcomed by Selena and her pokemons and Agatha's LIFE DEW to sooth from the pain and discomfort of smoke and fire. She gets down on Pegasus and nudges Sénon Game to put them above the stallion to immediately bring them to the camp.

“That's a great teamwork, I say.”
