Rounding a corner Sénon and Kiri both noticed at the same time a fletchinder before it noticed them.

"Again. HYDRO PUMP!" Filling its maw with water Kiri sent a jet stream high pressure water only for the attack to miss.

Swooping by on an angle to escape there was only one move Kiri could use to down it and seemingly as a personal challenge the old turtle bit into the earth and ground out a proper sized rock in anticipation of her orders.

Such was the mark of experience for the eldest and first received of all his pokémon. "SMACK DOWN!"

Kiri used HYDRO PUMP!

Knocking the bird out the sky with the precision spitting of a rock Kiri was two or two; first Toucannon and now Fletchinder. It hit the ground staggered for long enough to be pelted with a pokéball. As one of his favorite species of all pokémon, he barely noticed the Pansear going by.

Razz just takes in a deep breath to calm himself, focusing on Salem's purring to slowdown his own heart rate and keep him from panicking too far. As sure the Ponyta was handled quickly enough, but now another couple of fire pokemon were here trying to take on a challenge. He tells himself that they'll be done soon, anything to get over the idea that he was here. It really is a dumb fear he has, damn pyrophobia. [break][break]

"Do you think it means anything?" he ask feeling as if the conversation would be the best distraction. Though the dreams also bring him back to the group he ended up meeting with on the whole Plate thing, what was that on the trio of Space and Time? "I've heard recently of legends that alter space and time, have you ever heard of them?" he chooses to ask as Dollar uses SHADOW BALL to scare off some pesky fire monkey away from their trainer.

He was so distracted with a Fletchinder the Sand Castle-mon had to scare off the Pansear.

"Every region has their legends." Seeing Celebi with his own eyes opened his mind to the impossible but fighting off Kyogre; the desperation of facing off with such a creature so beyond his meager human mortality left his mind reeling for answers.

Luckily cultural myths were just a basic internet search away.

"Sinnoh's is just one of the coolest; From itself, two beings the Original One did make. Time started to spin. Space began to expand."

"Though is it really unique to their own region? As why would those in Hoenn be experiencing anything they could do right?" well if it was indeed them doing it for those dreams months ago. He does take a moment to ponder about the passage of the whole Original Ones thing. Honestly it wasn't that much different from what he's learned from chryssa glasgow's gathering some time ago. [break][break]

As he ponders one of those island grimer seems to have found it's way here. "Got it Dollar?" he questions the small pile of sand who seems energetic. With a wave of sand it uses a BULLDOZE to attack first, breaking the ground beneath it. Thankfully this one didn't seem to have any proper dark attacks to take on the Sandygast. "Good work," he compliments before tossing a spare pokeball. With that it should be enough for now.

Watching Razz take down a grimer while pondering the myths and legends of their world distracted him.

The two topics ate up just enough of his focus that he almost didn't notice the movement of something in his peripheral view. Turning his head to look at what was caught his side-eye, he noticed a quick moving, reptile pokémon, black in color and low to the ground.

He wasn't sure what it was but with his penchant for reptile and amphibian pokémon, he'd already decided to catch it. Knocking on Kiri's shattered shell he called her attention to what he was paying attention to. "Hydro Pump" Unsure of the pokémon's typing it had to be either Fire or Poison if it was lurking around here.

So long as it wasn't also a grass or dragon, HYDRO PUMP would wipe it.

Kiri used HYDRO PUMP; its Super Effective!

He was satisfied to be right as the dousing of high-pressure water left the black lizard too weak to escape his Premiere Ball toss.

Crimsen attempted to capture Sandalit!

Coming back to Razz and the gravity of the topic they discussed he pondered aloud. "That's just it. If the legends of Sinnoh are affecting what's happening here, their not just legends anymore."

Turning his back for a moment he didn't catch the feline sneaking up on him only to be hit and incapacitated by the ever alter Tirtouga.

Too small to take the blast in good standing the fiery feline tumbled a bit before coming to a stop. A Premiere Ball calling the cat home.

There is a pause at that when Senon mentions that with these legends bleeding through to Hoenn that they had to be more than just legends. "I guess that makes sense, but also a bit more terrifying," Razz can't help but comment as he thinks back to the plates. So if people were finding these things now was that a sign of what was to come. Now that they've seen the devil in Mauville was the 'Original' one to come? [break][break]

It was a frightening thought honestly, not enough for him to lose focus though as a Swalot decided to show it's mug and attempt to attack. Dollar was ready for it though as EARTH POWER to drive the poison type away. "How's your collection coming?" the younger ranger ask, cause as he was doing okay so far there was still a great amount of stress being here.

Starmie used PSYBEAM!

Ponderous (and intimidating) as the conversation with Razz was going, Sénon still committed a little thought to his surroundings. Just enough in fact the he noticed his Starmie was gone.

With a quick dash around the corner he made it in time to see the seastar being blasted with a SUCKER PUNCH. Yelling over its shoulder as a proper trainer did, the starmie made the proper attack; crushing the larger beast under a hyper-focused concussive stream of water.

Heatmor used SUCKER PUNCH!
STARMIE used HYDRO PUMP; its super effective!

Quickly getting the... whatever it was in a Premiere Ball he returned to Razz in just a fleeting moment or two.

Crimsen attempted to capture Heatmor!

"Mine? It's getting bigger and more refined everyday." A satisfied grin on his face, he played one-handed catch with the now-occupied ball. "Speaking of, my quota for today's is about done, what about yours?"

With another fire pokemon watered down Razz feels someone comfortable on the route for once. It seems like Senon is going what he can to catch them quick, and their conversation has been distracting enough so far for him to ignore the world around them. [break][break]

"I've found what I'm looking for, the Alolan Grimer were used pretty often when the poison thing was a problem and now that I've caught one I should be good, could be useful for if something happens again," he comments as he showed off the most useful pokemon he's gotten on this route. He'll have to see later with how well it listened.

It was still pretty early in the day yet, Sénon had worked himself into a wide stretch and a deep yawn. Nearing the top/end of the Fiery Path the timing was just right to call it quits on the route.

"Then lets get out of here." A thought flashed in his head and he changed his mind with a fast realization. "I almost forgot."

Just before the end of the fiery path was a jutting cliff of rock overlooking Hoenn to the east. The sun hung in the sky like a orange marble among the parted clouds. "I come here once a week to take in this view." He crossed his arms letting Kiri and Starmie stand guard against any wild Pokémon. "It reminds me of how far I've made it from home, and how deep I'll have to dig if I ever want to go back."
