Mt. Pyre and Shoal Cave seemed like the most unlikely of places to plant and cultivate carrots. But Remiel had trusted the word of the Rocket appointed herbalist at their HQ. Between the two locales, however, he found Mt. Pyre to be the more appealing place.[break][break]

Having flown here on dragon-back, the ambassador now wandered the misty meadows of the mountain, passing by countless gravestones and shrines that flanked him on each side. His dutiful Sinistea butler hovered by his side the whole way, keeping alert for any of the Ghost-types that attempted to sneak in closer... or the Psychic-types that silently wove their spells from afar.[break][break]

Remiel sighed. Now to find a suitable place to plant the strange carrot seed he'd found at the festival. Or, at least, try to do so without accidentally exhuming a corpse at an unmarked grave.[break]

An insomniac Shuppet appeared interested in Remiel's efforts to locate a proper plot for his carrot seeds. Earl Grey, of course, was the first to spot the sock poppet as it drifted closer. The ambassador in question, in the meantime, had been so focused on the ground at their feet that he didn't notice the little ghost until it was but a few feet away.[break][break]

To have come so close, without Earl Grey immediately blasting it away, Remiel surmised his butler had judged its character to be innocent. The Shuppet did look rather harmless, after all, especially with the sleepy sag in its eyes. Most (if not all) ghosts could operate perfectly fine without any sleep at all, but the young royal knew a few suffered from insomnia regardless.[break][break]

While it might have been interesting to capture this pokemon and investigate its condition further, however, he simply didn't have time to bother with such matters at the present moment. So, shooing it away with a wave of his hand, he moved on.[break]

There was a disturbance in the earth.[break][break]

Curious, Remiel followed it as it sped away from his footsteps. Earl Grey quickly caught on, and floated ahead to lead the way. Eventually, this disturbance in the soil reached an area covered in gravestones and lit candles, and stopped. If the young royal had to guess, it didn't want to dig any forward because of the corpses surrounding it.[break][break]

After a brief pause, a Shedinja emerged from the ground. Feeling cornered, it attempted to ABSORB Remiel's vitality. That's when Earl Grey swiftly swooped in, however, attacking the phantom locust with a powerful SHADOW BALL. It dropped to the floor in a crumpled heap afterwards.[break][break]

Just before its form could disappear into the ether, Remiel tossed a luxury ball at it. He bent down to pick up the ball afterwards, then turned to regard his surroundings before spotting a girl nearby. Perhaps she knew about the surrounding terrain.[break]
