Remiel had paused from his exploration of Mt. Pyre to assist a group of League appointed construction workers, restoration artists, and trainers in the middle of a repair effort. The building in question? A large three-story temple dedicated to the angel of dreams and supposed guardian of spirits, Cresselia.[break][break]

In the misty ambiance of the mountainside, the ambassador had summoned his Golurk, RX-78-2, to help carry large beams of wood into the sky and carefully hand them over. Afterwards, he spoke to the personnel there, learning that some fellows who called themselves the 'Followers of Darkrai' had recently sent death threats to the foreman overseeing the project.[break][break]

Suddenly, the entire area was surrounded by dark hooded figures emerging from the tall grass. Catching sight of a familiar young girl walking down the route towards them, Remiel waved her to come on over. "Miss Miro. I suggest you group up with us post-haste. It appears we have trouble coming our way." He calmly remarks.[break]

Melody had been exploring mt pyre for a bit, she felt a pull towards this area for some reason...unsure as to why exactly. Was it fate or did something WANT her here? She was extremely confused as she heard a familiar voice from the mist...was it a spirit calling her? A shiver went down her spine as melody was kind of scared of spirits which is why she did her best to try and respect them as much as she could "No I dont think I can go with-" she said before realizing it wasn't a spirit calling out to her but Remiel Calcifet instead. [break][break]

"Oh! Remmy it's nice to see you again!" she said as she rushed over to his side completely ignoring the fact he could be a spirit simply PRETENDING to be Remiel "What seems to be the problem?" she asked curiously as she didn't see Remiel with anyone else here and this was meant to be a place of peace. These men in strange hoods...were they with Remiel to visit the dead..? She didn't think they were so she gripped her pokeball in her hand ready to take action should they make any sudden moves.

Melody's intial dissmisal confused Remiel. He said nothing of it, however, after she emerged from the mist in full and seemed to realize exactly who he was. Some of the construction workers surrounding them glued their eyes to the beauty. That your girlfriend, pretty boy? But most kept their eyes fixed on the approaching hooded cultists instead.[break][break]

"It would seem the individuals approaching us disapprove of our reconstruction efforts here." The black-haired royal answers. What sounds like a jetpack grows louder when his Golurk returns, landing on the ground behind his master with a heavy thud. "I've no doubt the League will appreciate our efforts to keep them at bay."[break][break]

The hooded figures, in the meantime, all stop from their advance in unison. Then, each pulling out a pokeball from their robes, they collectively summon a league of Fire-type pokemon and Fighting-type pokemon. The ambassador sighs. No time to catch up; yet.[break][break]

"I was meant to find a suitable location to plant my carrot seeds today... but I suppose I'll be doing this instead. RX-78, Phantom Force!" He orders, prompting his Golurk to begin the battle with a fierce ghostly aura.[break]

Oh? they didn't approve of the reconstruction efforts? Why? Who are these people, they seemed like the religious type! How lovely! She always admired those who could devote themselves to something...however they didn't seem like normal...devotees? if that made any sense? They seemed to be a bit aggressive and assuming that Melody and him were dating, her face immediately turned red "hey HEY HEY WAIT A SECOND WE AREN-" she said choking up a bit as she metaphorically stumbled over her words. They then released some fighting types and fighting types and remiel began to start a battle! She obviously couldn't stand by and do nothing so she was going to lend her support. This might be a bit easy as she had the perfect Pokémon for this. "Drifblim!" she said as she tossed out the drifblim she got from the recent swarm. "Lend your support and use psychic to make it an easy target for golurk!" as Drifblim extended it's "hands" and released the energy within it's body to lift up golurk's targets and making it easier for him to attack

With Melody's Drifblim raising a Growlithe, Machop, Combusken, and Hitmontop into the air, Remiel's Golurk found it incredibly easy to reemerge from the phantom zone and sweep through the smaller pokémon like a ghostly wave (PHANTOM FORCE). The enemy pokémon in question were blown away into the fog, sending their cultist trainers after them frantically.[break][break]

Those cultists that remained, however, proceeded forward and struggled against the construction workers as they attempted to breach their defenses. "We can't let any of them reach the construction zone, Melody," Remiel calmly warned, raising the volume of his voice above the clamor of pokémon battles, shouting, and battle cries. "I'll hold the ones here off. Help the workers push back the cultists who passed by us."[break][break]

Returning his attention to the six cultists standing across from him, the black-haired royal summoned his Golurk to his side with a snap of his fingers before pointing forward again. "Earthquake." While simultaneously withstanding a barrage of flamethrowers, the golem raised its massive arms parallel to each other before slamming them down onto the ground.[break][break]

A great network of fissures cracked open in front of them, traveling ahead with great speed and devouring a small team of Fighting-type pokémon that had attempted to bumrush the pair. Before long, this chaotic earthquake reached the cultists ahead, too. A massive dust cloud emerged from the spot where they once stood, their cries muffled by the rocky powder that they accidentally sucked into their throats.[break]

"Then they wont!" she said as she placed her hands on her hips confidently. She decided however if this was gonna work then Drifblim was gonna need some more help than just golurk.. Melody typed a pokeball into the foggy distance on a higher ledge. The Pokémon she released would be hidden from the rest of their parties but probably be revealed rather quickly. "Stick close remmy..not that I think you'll get hit though." she said as she then ran up behind him gleefully. [break][break]

Just then melody would speak out loud "Barrage fire, widespread" she said in a commanding voice full of pride. Several blasts of water shot off into the fog in the direction of the construction as inteleon began to use snipe shot. Several thuds were heard as the Darkrai cultists who snuck past the pair began to fall one by one, as they were knocked out one by one. A fire attack was launched as remiel's golurk to which melody's drifblim immediately moved to intercept as melody had a planned for it. The fire made contact with drifblim's body, and while some damage was made it wasn't anything lethal however...drifblim began to swell in size on account of it's ability flare boost "Nice drifblim! Now! Follow up the flare boost's power with some shadow balls!" she commanded as drifblim managed to summon

Remiel watched as cultists and pokémon all around him fell to the SNIPE SHOTS of an Inteleon up above. "Retreat, my brothers!" One of them hollered out, stumbling as he moved to run away. "The Will of Darkrai will descend upon them in their nightmares! And we will have our justice!"[break][break]

Remiel scoffed, prompting his Golurk to cast a black shadow across the sky (NIGHT SHADE) in an effort to intimidate them further. The few cultist pokémon that attempted to land a blow instead of escape, however, were quickly pummeled into the ground by the automaton's DYNAMIC PUNCH. It also managed to snag two cultists by the collar of their robes before they passed by.[break][break]

Meanwhile, it had been some time since he'd seen a Drifblim's FLARE BOOST get put into play so effortlessly. As a Ghost-specialist, he was certainly impressed by Melody's helpful utilization of her phantom. Even if RX-78 didn't need the save.[break][break]

"Well done," He remarked, stepping forward to stand beside Melody as he addressed the rest of the crowd afterwards. "Is anyone injured? It appears they've fled. I'll take these two to your local League holding station." He adds, pointing at the cultists RX-78 holds aloft.[break]

Darkrai? They were fanatics...but melody didn't really know much about this Pokémon or thing they were talking about. Who was this darkrai, why did he hate construction sites? "Who's Darkrai? Why would he stop these reconstruction efforts?" as they ran and drifblim was too preoccupied with the Pokémon to really catch them running away. She WAS going to chase after them, but ensuring these people's safety was more important. She looked over to the construction workers, they seemed fine for the most part. "It looks like they aren't injured thankfully." She continued "Who were those people, remmy? Who's darkrai?" she asked curiously wondering if he knew more. She was worried, was someone's wish for rebuilding hoenn really so horrible that another entity would sick their followers on innocent lives? Whoever this Darkrai was, they were a danger to the people of hoenn. [break][break]

She frowned, well at least this time no one was hurt "You're ok too right?" she asked with a bit of worry in her voice as she didn't want to see anyone hurt in front of her. "I'll stay in case those men come back. Ill trust them to you." she added

Melody's inquiry does not fall on deaf ears. "Darkrai is the Pitch-Black pokemon: the lord of nightmares." Remiel responds, prompting an angry flail from one of the cultists being held up by his Golurk like an indignant cat.[break][break]

"You insolent sheep! None of you are worthy to speak our lord's name!" The man hollers, kicking his legs as he receives a calm, confused look from the Golurk. "Your time will come! This false truth you call 'peace' will shatter unto a new utopia!"[break][break]

Remiel keeps himself from rolling his eyes, instead directing Melody's attention to the construction effort they protected with a nod. "This a temple of Cresselia, the Lunar pokemon and angel of dreams."[break][break]

"False savior! Scheming trickstress!"[break][break]

"Enslaver of men!"

"In most literary texts, Cresselia is Darkrai's ultimate opponent. Typically the one that casts him back into the abyss from whence he came." He sighs, rubbing at his temples with his fingers. "But very well then... I'll escort these two to the League station while you remain here. I'll come back when I've finished, then perhaps we might have some tea, hm?"[break][break]
