Clipped to his belt and dangling from Remiel's right hip, a lantern-like object pulsed with a soft blue glow as it emitted a low hum. The pokemon on Route 116 had been acting in a frenzy as of late. The cause of it, Remiel had discovered, was a specific frequency from a technology he had believed to be long buried.

The League had caught wind of this frenzy and the presence of this technology as well. As such, Remiel volunteered to take part in taking down its source alongside the historian, @gina . Wearing a leather jacket and scuffed jeans, he stood at the center of the route, looking towards the pine forest ahead and the cliff face of Mt. Meteor behind it.

"Are you ready, Miss Gray? I surmise the source of this phenomenon to be in a cave somewhere ahead. This will keep our pokemon from turning on us," He adds, tapping the lantern at his hip. The stoic Urshifu beside him huffs. "Let's go."

And, with that, the royal leads the way into the forest.

Word of the frenzy had reached Gina’s ears. Truthfully the historian wasn’t very caring about the event, she figured that the leagues rangers could handle such a chore. She only agreed to come along since the league believed an artifact caused the Pokémon’s erratic behavior.

Her trench coat swayed with the wind, Gina placed a hand on top of her hat to prevent it from flying off. “I’m ready, Mr Calcifet.” She replied following as the Galarian noble as he led the way into the dense pine forest.

A Munna was the first to attack. It floated out from the forest with glazed over eyes and an eerie HOWL from its unseen mouth.

Quite freaked out by the sight himself, Trunks didn't hesitate to give it a powerful jab right on the nose (POISON JAB). The poor thing mewled as it staggered in the air. Eventually, however, it fainted and hit the ground below. Remiel unclipped a luxury ball.

"So, I'm told you're a historian," Remiel speaks, making idle chit-chat with Ms. Gray as he taps the ball against the Munna's form. "What was your thesis on?"

A whismur stumbled from the dense shrubbery, the frightened expression was enough for Gina to know that the normal type had been startled by all the rampaging pokemon. “Yawn” She would order her slowking, who in turn faced the small whismur and cast a drowsy spell on it. The whismur fell asleep swiftly, most likely due to it running away from those wreaking havoc. She tossed a vacant pokeball at the whismur who slept peacefully.

She then replied to the ambassador who broke the silence. “Arceus’screations” She watches the urshifu jab the munna, impressed by the speed and precision. “Do you have interest in history?”

Suddenly, a Beeheeyem bursts out from the surrounding forest to charge at the Urshifu bodyguard with a HEADBUTT. A telepathic voice rings out within their minds like an alarm: THIS CANNOT CONTINUE. THIS CANNOT CONTINUE. THIS CANNOT CONTINUE. Clearly affected by the frequencies sweeping over the route, Trunks doesn't hesitate to block the headbutt with the center of his palm before striking the Beeheeyem down with the other (ICE PUNCH). Remiel tosses a luxury ball at the fallen alien after.

"I studied archaeology in Hammerlocke Univeristy. So naturally." Remiel responds, moving forward to retrieve the captured pokémon. "I'm an archaeologist in everything but name at the moment... my duties as ambassador keep me from pursuing it in length."

She was surprised when a beheeyem charged at them without warning. Taking a few steps backwards to let Remiel's urshifu handle the situation, she watched the battle go down with a hand pressed against her head, the message which the beheeyem relayed was an annoyance more than anything.

"I see" She remarks when the beheeyem was finally captured, the message no longer ringing inside her mind. Gina was once tempted to become an archaeologist but ultimately decided against it as she didn't like field work. Gina would look in the direction of a low growl. Spotting out a watchog in the distance, Gina snapped her fingers towards Slowking. "Confusion"

Gina's slowking directed a weak telekinetic force at the watchog, succeeding in confusing the foe upon hitting it. Gina took the opportunity to chuck a pokeball at it.
"Looks like the situation is worse than expected."

Remiel hummed in thought. Sharp cobalt eyes spotted another pair of eyes, these feline in nature, stalking him from the bushes nearby. "I've been in situations such as these before. Don't let your guard down."

Sure enough, a Pyroar leapt out from the bushes to try and maul him, but his Urshifu bodyguard swiftly stepped in. Preventing a CRUNCH by holding the lion's mouth open, Trunks looked more like Hercules battling the Nemean Lion as he held it back.

In the end, he was forced to perform some ACROBATICS with his feet to kick the Pyroar into a tree behind it. Remiel followed up with the quick toss of a luxury ball.

"Is that so? I'll admit that it's a first for me." Spending most of her time inside a library or an office, Gina had knowledge of how battling worked, just lacked the experience. Remiel on the other hand seemed to be fairly skilled when it came to battling, as he had an urshifu battling alongside him.

Gina's eyes narrowed as the tall grasses shifted with erratic movements, soon a furret would show itself, clearly asking for a showdown. She saw it as an opportunity to test how well Watchog would fair against it, she clicked on the watchogs pokeball to have it summoned.

"Mean look" The watchog has no trouble complying to it's new trainers demand, giving the furret a cold gaze, the look was intimidating enough to have the furret flinch unable to attack. "Hyper fang" Rushing at the frozen furret, the watchogs sharp fangs would sink into the pokemons flesh. Causing the furret to flee out of pain and fear.
As the battle concludes, Gina turns back to Remiel. "You seem to be enjoying yourself" She comments

The ambassador turns towards the woman with a slight tilt of his head. "What makes you say that?" He inquiries, as his Urshifu strikes a Hypno on the nose with a punch (ICE PUNCH) before it has a chance to hypnotize.

The bipedal staggers backward and clutches its now bleeding nose with one hand. As it tries to bend down to pick up the hypnosis coin it had dropped, however, Trunks delivers a swift elbow to the back of its head and renders it unconscious. To ensure it won't bother them again, or stalk them through the forest, Remiel captures it with an empty ball.

"Hmm..." Gina takes a moment to stay silent, giving the ambassador a teasing glance. "Just a guess." She replies rolling her shoulders back into a shrug. Based of judgement Remiel seemed to be the type of guy who didn't like desk work. "Am I wrong?"

Before long a formidable pokemon approached Gina and her slowking, a kadabra. Gina huffed out of annoyance she didn't want to deal with such a headache of a pokemon right now. "Rain Dance" Gina's slowking summoned forth a small storm cloud, causing a small drizzle over the kadabra. The foe responds by moving its spoons in a trance like motion, the move slightly confused Gina's slowking.

"Water Pulse." The force of the move was a lot more powerful thanks to the effects of the rain dance. Gina tossed a pokeball at the defeated pokemon. "Seems that pokemon are getting more formidable
