Volunteer work and lending a hand to the still-recovering parts of Slateport was a daily activity for the woman. It gave her the chance to witness the rebuilding progress and experience growth, but it also lit a fire under her ass to encourage her to keep pushing. To work harder, to do better, to offer aid where it was needed. Because. if she didn't, who else would?[break][break]

But today, in the midst of dozens of faces in a crowd, her involvement in the community serves to locate a missing person. It's a wonder she even saw him, really - but it was the kids bad attitude and foul mouth that caught her attention first. She recognized his voice from the incident at Fortree and it reminded her of the fact that he had blatantly ignored summons for questioning.[break][break]

And she understood why, she really did. In every sense of the word, being summoned by the League usually meant that you were in trouble or something important would be discussed. It wasn't the type of setting a kid probably wanted to be in. But his negligence also made him look guilty, and Stormy's hotheaded knee-jerk reaction was to shout at him rather than approach the situation calmly.[break][break]

To be fair, she was mostly just excited that she'd found him.[break][break]

"Hey, kid! Hold up a minute, I want to talk to you!"[break][break]

And then she abandons her post with whatever it was she had been doing to jog up to Andy.[break][break]

"Wha-- hey, w-- hold on a minute!"[break][break]

All of a sudden she finds her path rudely blocked off by a sudden influx of fresh fruit- now bruised on the ground- and sullied sundresses. She trips over them, getting caught in the swaths of cloth. Gasping and stumbling as she crushes an apple beneath a boot, she looks up to see the kid looking stressed-out and agitated.[break][break]

It helps that he shouts at her, too.[break][break]

"Did you just-- what's your problem?"[break][break]

Stormy stops briefly to apologize for the dresses she'd torn off the rack, sheepishly picking up one that had been dirtied beneath her boot. It would give Andy a chance to run, which is clearly what he was waiting impatiently to do. Stormy's bleeding heart was a hindrance, apparently.[break][break]

"Kids, right? Yeesh."[break][break]

The woman glances up, searching the crowd for what she can only assume would be a sprinting teenager.[break][break]

The seamstress only glared up from under her shawl at the boy. While she wasn't sure what was going on, it seemed relatively certain that all the destruction to her compatriot's wares had something to do with the present adolescent and his attendant pokemon. Not only was she not accelerating in pace, she had stopped sewing all together.

Hopping along behind the boy the two began to sprint off.

Epitaph on the other hand began to shimmer and dematerialize into an sparkling smoke that flowed towards the fleeing teenager until disappearing completely into his shadow. Weaving his way through the bazaar, he quickly found himself in the more residential tent city. People of course stopped to look over their shoulders at the well dressed child fleeing through their home turf.

The boy would have plenty of time to escape, as Stormy's bleeding heart prevented her from slamming through carts of display items and passersby without at least offering to pick it up. And it is simply because she isn't here to arrest the boy, she had just been inclined to speak with him. Running into him like this had been coincidence, one she'd thought would be a happy one.[break][break]

Apparently, that was not the case.[break][break]

Stormy does, however, glance up in time to witness Andy aggressively throw bills at the woman he'd been standing next to. It is cause for alarm, and she stops short to speak with the woman and apologize on his behalf.[break][break]

Regardless of her response, she doesn't stand around for long, itching to give chase. It had been a while since she'd lent herself to a police-chase of sorts, and she had half a mind to wring this boy out.[break][break]

"My apologies, ma'am. This should just be a moment."[break][break]

She feels gravel crunch beneath her heel as she twists, following a path, any path. The woman whistles, glancing to the sky. Earlier in her fruitless hunt, a shadow had passed over her head. Orange and blue wings give way to a Charizard and Stormy gestures to the the swarm of people gasping in horror at the child slamming his way through.[break][break]

"Sehkmet, fetch please."[break][break]

And fetch she attempts to do: swooping low with the intent to catch him (gently) in her claws. If she succeeded, she would carry him off to another location, likely to be set down in a tree so that she could watch him and wait for Stormy to reconvene.[break][break]

The banette tugged at his hand, spotting the diving charizard before his trainer did. Between that and the bystanders around him diving away, as well as the shadow falling overhead, Andy got the idea something was up. The large fire type fell on him just as he looked over his shoulder. It had been forgotten in the time since that this woman used such a pokemon.

''Shi-OOF!'' Captured, he pulled the banette close as best as he could. The last thing he wanted initially was submit it to another fall and undo all the work the old crone had just put in. Hugging it close, he still squirmed. Were it that he had had something present with phantom force. It was doubtful the charizard would stand up to his entire camp full of ghost types.

''Taph! Get us out of here.'' White smoke billowed out from around the boy to encapsulate his form, quickly engulfing that of the charizard as well. Using poltergeist the gengar pulled and tugged at the boy, hoping to wrench it from the lizard's grasp obscuring its vision all the while. Marion wanted to assist, but worried firing a gunk shot might poison the gengar through the smoke.

Losing elevation to the tug of war, the creature would be forced to land below the trees on the ground, or to let go of his prey altogether if it didn't hit something through the smokey fog all around it. Epitaph was hoping to get the boy away from it so he could control his fall to the grass below. Though he knew Andy's stubbornness far outweighed his need for safety at times...

The Charizard was gentle- or at least, she tried to be. But the kid squirms and struggles, fighting desperately to be let go. But from this high up, dropping him was not an option. At least, not without a potential injury.[break][break]

Hurting him wasn't the goal, just to capture him so that Stormy could catch up. Sehkmet often lend a hand to angelo vestri, so she was quite good at deliveries.[break][break]

Smoke or fog or.. something billows around the three of them. It prompts the dragon to stop, hovering in midair as she desperately beats her wings to see. But she can't, and the kid keeps fighting her, and now he's gotten another Pokemon involved.[break][break]

"Stop it! You're gonna get yourself hurt, man!"[break][break]

The young woman comes into view, panting. Her Charizard has been forced to land, and does so with a huff of frustration. Fortunately, she's managed to keep a grip on Andy if only to prevent him from falling. She'd been tasked with delivering him, and it was crucial that packages were delivered in pristine condition.[break][break]

'Handle with care', so to speak.[break][break]

"Let him go, Sehkmet, the dumbass is gonna kill himself."[break][break]

With a sheepish groan, the Charizard lifts her foot off of the kid and sidles away, tucking her wings and lowering her head. Stormy sighs, stretching out her back and shaking her head.[break][break]

"Why are you running? I just want to talk to you, but now I've half a mind to arrest you just for being stupid. You look guilty, running from someone without reason. What, did you steal something? Y'know, the penalty for that used to be they'd take off your hand."[break][break]

Struggling to his feet, he was still trying to not jostle the banette too hard to avoid undoing the just recent repairs. Letting the creature lose, it hopped in front of him to bristle at the woman, as the smokey form of his gengar consolidated around him in a loosely gengar shaped cloud. A familiar eyes and grimice appeared within to stare down the charizard.

It was presumed he would have to fight his way out of here.

In his mind it seemed all League personnel were more than happy to twist arms and crack heads as long as it meant that they got their way, even something as mundane as this. The boy's Banette stands up to face her, bristling with what she can only assume is rage. Which, she can figure is fair, except this wasn't really her fault and hadn't been her intention to bust chops trying to have a conversation.[break][break]

Was this what FERNANDO SILPH meant by 'going about things the right way'? Or whatever ass-backward way he'd attempted to tell her to stop being stupid.[break][break]

But the kid doesn't give her a chance to finish. He interjects immediately with shouting and cursing. It shocks Stormy, evident by the way her expression forms into a blank, rapid blink as she absorbs the brick wall of information thrown at her.[break][break]

Either way, if this was the extent of the League's detective skills, it was a boost to his confidence to pursue his future plans. Stormy was many things, but attentive to detail was not one of them- at least, not details like where fourteen year old kids lived.[break][break]

She was an elite four member and a Pokemon ranger, not a police officer or detective. And the League hadn't sent her, she'd just happened to see him in a crowd and remembered that she had had a mind to find and talk to him.[break][break]
