Sabine had been expecting something other than acceptance. Other than a pokeball to be pressed into her hand and for Lulu to have shrugged off the princess' hurt feelings and appear otherwise unfazed.[break][break]

Granted, Sabine is only looking at the surface reaction. She isn't reading that far into it. Frankly, one might say that the woman was overreacting.[break][break]

And then, to set her off even more, Lulu attempts to flirt. Sabine looks appalled, but more than that, confused.[break][break]

Sabine stares at her, her expression hot, upset, challenging. She's flying off the handle at the drop of a hat, expressing herself in the only way she'd ever known how: with drama. “Take the Gardevoir.” A gaze perhaps forcefully softened. “You know where I’ll be.”

For the sake of making a scene and having a dramatic exit, Sabine storms off. The moment Lulu is out of sight and she has a moment to catch her breath and overthink the situation, she releases Gardevoir to teleport home. [break][break]

The Gardevoir could sense the feelings. Her eyes gazed into Sabine's, straight through to her mind in some incomprehensible way before extending green fingers, winding in around the princess's own. A bright light absorbed them into Rustboro.

Lulu stood, eyeing the draft on the hologram in front of her and swallowing into a dry throat. She didn’t want to know the number of eyes on her, or the number of eyes which had been on Sabine on her way out in her storming exit.

“I want reports by 9 PM on my desk.”

She disappeared into shadow.
