Yet, that isn't all that sticks out to him. Did bryan delarosa have some type of self confidence issue? He'd need to pry a little more into the other's psyche for that, but later.

Then he softens again when the other's resolve seems strong.

"I'm helping to lead a project called MAGMA. We're aiming to replicate the abilities of Avatars in non-Avatars. If you're willing, you can be on our short list of test subjects." That way, if Bryan found Xerneas and it refused him he might still have some chance.

"Just understand, testing is painful. This is less than ethical science, so you might die if something goes wrong. Can you accept those risks?"

Fuck, that was a lot to unload at once. Bryan takes a few moments before he stands up and takes off his shirt and reveals a lot of his scars "I can handle pain. I only have one contingency and I'll agree. If anything happens to me, I need you to do something for me." he answers as he takes out a small ziplock bag from his back pocket that contained a tiny bit of blue mulch. "I want you to give the rest of this stuff and use it on soleil if I die. I have more stashed away somewhere safe." he tells chu-e. [break][break]

"I'm not using it right away cause I dont know enough about it and it might not work how I intend it to. So if she is ever about to die. You go or send someone to save her right away." he tells him "Promise me that and I'll do it. I'll sacrifice myself if I need to." [break][break]

he puts his shirt back on quickly as the sub could be pretty cold and his nips poking out right now would be kind of awkward.

There is a bit of hesitation but Chu-e still takes the mulch. He peers at it curiously through the plastic, trying to figure out what could cause this stuff to be so potent and special. Well, regardless.

Chu-e offered his hand to bryan delarosa. If the other took it to shake, he would find Chu-e's grip firm and sure.

"You have my word, Bryan. If I can't due to my own illness, I'll ensure someone I trust does it." Keeping his sister's name out of as many people's mouths as possible would be the best thing to do, after all.

"Can I keep this small sample? I want to run a few tests on it... hell, if it's related to Xerneas, maybe we could use it in MAGMA."
