Another day and another set of battles. Honestly he was a bit surprised by the time he was given as usually his dispatcher would have had jobs lined up for him. Yet they said that things weren’t that busy and that Silph Co didn’t have many contracts. Use the time to participate in the festival more. [break][break]

So he did, and his current opponent, someone with a big name similar to that of the Silphs so he nods his head in respect at the dragon trainer, “Nice to meet you Mr Rose,” he greets before he calls on his Dreepy. As what he’s heard the other was a dragon specialist so he feels that Jade would have fun. [break][break]

I'm addicted to the panic

Amor hadn't really taken a break from battling, but he had swapped out a few of his stronger Pokemon so he could give some of his younger ones some much needed experience. That was when he came across a young man by the name of Razz Kingsman, and as were the rules of this particular tournament, the moment they met a battle ensued when they agreed to it. With the boys polite greeting to him, Amor smiled his normal charming smile, and nodded to him.

"A pleasure to meet you as well Mr. Kingsman...I look forward to see how strong you are..." Then he watched the man send out a Dreepy, and that set Amor's heart on fire. As a dragon specialist the chance to measure up another's training of their Dragon types was always a fun opportunity to him. Tossing a pokeball into the air he released his Axew. "Uraeon you're up...I'm going to put your skills as a dragon trainer through the paces..." He smiled at Razz, and then nodded to him. "You take the first move..." It was a courtesy, Amor had been so eager so far just seizing the opportunity, but he was trying to calm down a bit today.

Dreepy looks back at her trainer, crying out about something in frustration but he couldn't pinpoint what so he looks to Salem who translates and he can't help but chuckle a bit. Apparently she was taking insult over the fact that the other was using another baby dragon like her. [break][break]

The INSULT. [break][break]

Razz just rubs the back of his neck, "I don't think you'll be very impressed as I'm no dragon specialist, but I think you might find Jade surprising," at the offer to go first and to make a point Razz gives a whistle and with that a blue flame covers her as she aims to strike with DRAGON RUSH, a move no normal dreepy could ever learn.

Amor was slightly taken aback at the Dreepy in front of him using a move as advanced as Dragon Rush. No where had he encountered such a dragon before, and it was such a curious thing to him. It was definitely an anomaly among it's kind, and just smiled in approval. Despite the fact that if it had a move so powerful he likely wouldn't win with Uraeon, but he wasn't going to give up so easily. Side stepping the attack, the problem with Dragon Rush that while it was powerful it could hardly be called accurate. Uraeon wasn't going to be put off by such a move, he had fought against Draco many times during training in the hopes that it would help him evolve.

The little Axew was upset as well, as the Dreepy had insulted him, saying that he was a "Baby Dragon" he was not a Baby! He could fight just as well as Draco, Tismet, and Zahak! This little one had to be taught some manners, and he puffed out his little chest, and unleashed a powerful Dragon Pulse towards her. The draconic energy spewing forth at an incredibly rate, and it didn't seem to be slowing down at all. She had insulted Uraeon, and he was a firm believer in paying back those who would just insult him.

"Ah...It seems she got Uraeon fired up..." Amor gently rubbed his cheek at the display his Axew was putting on, he didn't know what had been said, but it was definitely showing in Uraeons movements that he wasn't happy with something.

Having practiced hard with the Dragon Rush, despite it missing her target she keeps up the aura long enough for th dragon energy to fight back against the Dragon Pulse sent her way to avoid much damage. She doesn’t seem impressed by the other complaining as she still feels like she’s the one who should be insulted. He doesn’t comment about how his pokemon got the other’s worked up. Razz gives a whistle to give a new command as the Dreepy opens her mouth to send an INFESTATION at the other dragon pokemon. Hoping to wear the other down with time as the battle continued.

The little Dreepy was a tricky opponent, Uraeon had figured this out, and when the infestation came after him, he was just annoyed at all the little buzzing around him. Such cheap tricks for a true dragon to use, he would just bulldoze his way through their little gimmicks, and defeat this baby dragon with ease. Draconic energy formed on his hands, and he leapt toward the Dreepy in an attempt to use Dual Chop it was a simple move, but in his hands it was powerful. With his right he swung in an arc, and with his left he swung vertically up, trying to trip the other little dragon up. They would pay for underestimating him, some opponent they were. Though with those annoying bugs around him, he knew the sooner he finished this the better.

While they were able to avoid one of the claws the second set hit, however Jade wasn't going to be giving up. She was going to prove herself the superior dragon here as she would spin her body for a DRAGON TAIL. Doesn't seem like she's is even needing the order from her trainer so for now he'll stand back wait until she needed him. As this was apparently a battle of pride now.

The bugs were annoying as they continued to irritate him, and get in the way making it harder for him to do anything. When the Dreepy swung her tail at him, he felt it connect, but Uraeon wasn't going to be defeated by some cry baby, and instead as her attack connected with him, his claws lit up with draconic energy, and he swung at her using Dragon Claw. Amor wasn't even giving orders to him at this point, he was just in awe at how offended the two little dragon tykes were at each other, and he facepalmed a little bit. Looking over at Razz he gave the man an apologetic smile.

Before the Dragon Claw could make a clean hit Jade is covered in a dark energy as she interrupts to go first with a SUCKER PUNCH. Only after did the claws make a hit, but she wasn’t going down so easily. No, she rather mock the other baby dragon on how she's met eggs who’ve hit harder. break][break]

“Sorry about this, usually she's better behaved,” he comments not really knowing what she said, but sure it was nothing good.

The Sucker Punch made purchase at the same moment as his Dragon Claw, but that didn't hurt nearly as the insult that the Dreepy decided to hurl at him. Saying that he didn't hit as hard as an egg, his eyes opened wide, and he tearfully looked back at Amor, and then back at this Pokemon, and he was not going to stand for this!

"Yeah well, that might be true, but at least I'm not fat like you are!" Uraeon spat back at the Dreepy, and folded his arms proud of himself. While he didn't have a move like Sucker Punch he could make up for it with just raw insults. And as he laughed at his assured victory he unleashed another Dragon Pulse if this tubby little ghost was going to insult him he wouldn't take it laying down!

Amor looked at the other man who was very apologetic as well, and he just nodded. Uraeon had just spat something back at his opponent, and this battle was exactly what he thought it would be. Two toddlers who didn't really know what they were doing against each other, and were just trying to hurt each other both emotionally, and physically.

"Yeah...I uh...I am sorry as well...He's never done this before." Amor wondered if Uraeon had a crush on the little Dreepy, but that would be solved later. Right now Uraeon was still being haggard down by that infestation.

“Salem?” Razz looks down to the cat hoping for a translation for what was going on, and the cat signs up to his trainer. The meowstic chuckling on how childish both dragons were being and calling the other a child making the Ranger roll his eye. “The two of them are idiots.”[break][break]

As the DRAGON PULSE is sent her way, Jade decides to remind the other of their difference in power, her body flaring up blue like a dragon before she uses DRAGON RUSH to fly through the attack and strike the Axew.

Uraeon was quickly being worn down, he had hoped that his little insult would demoralize her. He took a calculated risk, but he was bad at math, and that came back to bite him in the rear ten fold. Instead of crying, the Dreepy instead charged through the Dragon Pulse bullheadedly, and smashed into him full force. Between that attack, and the constant nagging fleas around him, he was done for. He didn't even have time for a retort before he passed out, right there on the spot. When the dust settled Uraeon was on the ground knocked out, and Amor just shook his head at his little companion. They would have to train a little harder it seemed.

Holding out his pokeball he returned him, and just facepalmed a little bit more. Looking over at Razz he smiled wryly.

"I am sorry again...I will make sure to teach Uraeon some manners when he recovers properly, though I'm sure losing will do his ego some good." He smiled politely at the othe man, and clipped the ball back to his belt. "Though I am curious...How does your Dreepy possess that move? That is something I've not seen before." He asked Razz curiously. Amor considered him very knowledgeable on dragon types at large, and to his knowledge this man possessed a very special Dreepy. As no other one had the capability to utilize Dragon Rush.

There is a sigh of relief as Jade wins and knocks her opponent. While she is happy she won when she turns to her trainer there is a look of disappointment on his face. One where if he looked in the mirror would match his father's all to well. She seems to say something and Razz just sighs, "It's not that you didn't do a good job it's that you were a poor sport about it," he tells her as she goes over to him but he pets her either way. Hoping his point came across well enough. [break][break]

"It's fine, Jade wasn't much better," he shrugs at the older man as the dreepy decides to rest her wounds on the Ranger's shoulder. He thinks for a moment about how she came about it. "Oh that?" the way he questions almost gave the tone like it was nothing special, though that's because hes terrible with his own tone. "She was practicing it when I met up with her, we just ended up perfecting it in training," he shrugs again as he offers an awkward smile. [break][break]

"Afraid I don't have an answer outside pure determination, but I think that makes her refuse to evolve"

He listened to the mans description of how his Dreepy had come upon that attack, and the moment he heard it was just sheer will, and determination he seemed both half amused, and stunned. Of course that is what it would be, dragon were notoriously stubborn creatures. Bagon for example would dive off of cliffs in an attempt to fly, and continue to do so until it evolved fully into Salamence. Each species of dragon pokemon had their own unique quirks, Dragonites were unusually friendly towards travelers, while Haxorous more often than not were a more aggressive species. At least in his experiences these were norms, perhaps he just had unique experiences due to his upbringing, but that was neither here nor there.

"I see...Well that is quite the Pokemon you have there. Uraeon will no doubt be training tirelessly now in order to surpass her, so I thank you for giving him that little nudge for me. Sometimes they are hard to motivate, without a proper spark, or rival." He chuckled a little, Amor was a tad sad that he had lost, but sometimes there was nothing you could do, and he hadn't been expecting to run into a Pokemon that was of similar level to Uraeon that had one of the stronger dragon type moves in it's arsenal. That was something he would do better about anticipating in the future. Walter always told him to expect the unexpected, and he would have to do a much better job of that in the future.

"Well since our bout is at an end shall we clear off the stage? I'm actually interested in speaking with you a bit more. In my research I've come across your name a time or two, but nothing substantial. If you don't mind indulging my curiosity a little?" He asked him as he made his way off the battlefield.
