[attr="class","textbox"] Libraries are not Flynn's favorite place. Even as a teenager, he'd always been more of a jock at school, more charming than he was studious, more handsome than he was clever. Still, it wasn't like he had anything against them — he was just unfamiliar.

[break][break] And unfamiliar is the emotion he feels when the door swings open to reveals the admin's office. Old books that line the walls, mountains of paperwork that litter a wooden desk. Flynn feels out of place, like he's walking into the principal's office.

[break][break] Which, in a way, he supposes he is.

[break][break] "It's fine," he says stiffly, crossing his arms over his chest. His face is twisted into it's usual scowled expression - not one meant to offend, but the one that Flynn always seems to wear. He stands just before Killian's desk, but doesn't make the choice to sit down, instead just waiting. He wishes Killian would just cut to the chase, but also, Flynn knows better than to push.

[break][break] Behind him, Blue pushes forward into the room as well. She is more friendly, tail wagging as she greets the Team Rocket superior.

Despite Queen's efforts to clear him a spot, Flynn doesn't sit. Unbeknownst to both men, she makes a mental note - adding him to a list of people who've slighted her.

There's a stiffness to the grunt's voice that catches Killian's attention. He lifts his head to investigate why closing his book as he does. "You can relax." Killian assures, "You're not in trouble, the opposite, in fact." he motions to the chair.

"Sit." an order this time.

[break][break]

His hands interlock into a tight fist atop his desk. If Flynn had been in trouble, Killian wouldn't have bothered with the summons. He'd have sought him out personally to avoid the chance the grunt would run. A warm and charismatic smile spreads across Killian's face.

"I'd like to offer you a promotion."

[attr="class","textbox"] It seems that Alexandra Briarwood 's two men both have something in common — they both are absolute dunces when it comes to the requests of pokemon. Similar to Queen, Flynn's own Mightyena is disappointed when the Rocket superior does not so much as acknowledge her. She pouts, following her trainer and sitting on the ground beside him as he - begrudgingly - pulls a chair for himself.

[break][break] Flynn knows an order when he hears one.

[break][break] When finally seated, he finds himself seated in his discomfort, unable to shake the feeling of being in a Principal's Office despite the other's words. Unlike most who would have been thrilled to catch the attention of an esteemed Admin... Flynn is doubtful. He is always doubtful — that is how men like him are built.

[break][break] Understandably, the man is caught off-guard by the proposition thrown at him. Eyes narrow.

[break][break] "A promotion?" he asks, careful.

[break][break] Better to get more information before turning it down right away. Killian Decker does not seem like the type of man that seems to take kindly to rejection.

Flynn's distrust is impossible to miss. The narrowed eyes and discomforted sitting posture are dead giveaways. Hopefully, by the end of the conversation, both will change.

"I didn't stutter, Flynn." it comes out sharper than Killian intends. Despite the friendly smile, he's still on edge from his conversation with Cillian Quinn a few hours ago. The tense argument about what it meant to protect someone was still fresh in his mind.
