Though he couldn't exactly say he'd seen much of them during his previous venture there. The might of ZEKROM had scared them far deeper into the ground than any human could easily reach.

After Giona captures the one that had been sought to pester them, Remiel stops to reach into his pack and retrieve a portable electric lantern. He switches it on, revealing the stone-paved path ahead from the thick darkness that once enveloped it. "This way."

At the end of this path, they reach a large Japanese-style torii gate. Barring their way through it is an imposing Bronzong, its metal surface gleaming as the lantern light reaches it (IRON DEFENSE). Despite the trainers and their Pokémon approaching it, the animate bell doesn't move an inch. "Hm..."

Rather than fight it, however, Remiel looks around... before spotting a cave lily growing out from the wall nearby. Calmly, he moves to carefully pluck it before stepping forward towards the Bronzong and presenting this offering. For a moment, the guardian appears surprised... then, suddenly, it rings out like a church bell before levitating in the air.

The Bronzong smiles before opening its mouth and sucking the lily in. "If that's all it took to please you, I imagine you've been alone for quite some time..." The ambassador remarks, pulling an empty luxury ball out from his pack. "But no longer."

Reaching out with the ball grasped in his hand, he waits for the Bronzong to offer itself for capture before placing it away. Afterwards, they move on through the gate.

Giona nodded. He smiled when the two were flanked by intruders again, this time. He put Luxray away, and walked up to Ralts. This little thing, just waiting to get swooped on by anything bigger. Especially that Malamar he already put away. "..." He passed through the threshold of the gate and kneeled for a second. He exhaled and decompressed a little, and held out a hand, as if it were for a dog to smell.

Ralts cupped his hand in its small hands. His change, spurred by Remiel, was enough to win it over. As telepathic transmission copied a handful of things about him, purpose and community-leadership stood out. He was a smuggler, but his bullshit "i fight for my friends" thing and newfound respect for Mount Pyre won it over. "...What is this? Normally, you'd be attacking me by now." He asked, holding out a pokeball.

Ralts reached for it and pressed the button. Giona stood, and jogged after Remiel. He was starting to look a little... tired. Giona spoke up. "Have you gone this deep before?" It'd be a relief if atleast one of them knew what they were doing.

Watching Giona handle the previous wild Pokémon with a degree of patience and calm was impressive. Remiel got the impression that the lad hadn't experienced many encounters of that nature before. Himself, on the other hand, had been forced to 'catch' Pokémon this way a child. Galar's heir apparent couldn't face the dangers of catching Pokémon in the wild until he was thirteen years of age, after all.

"I have," Remiel responds, watching as a wild Lampent left its post to encircle him and inspect the electric lantern he held up. "My comrade, samuel carter , is the groundskeeper for Mt. Pyre. We've walked this path once before... anything beyond the next mausoleum, however, is new to me." He admits.

Suddenly, the Lampent is snatched in mid-air by one of his Cofagrigus' hands. Though it attempts to spin free of the grasp, the other hands open the sarcophagus and unceremoniously stuff the phantom lantern inside its dark depths before slamming shut. Even its ghostly light is smothered within. And, when Remiel pulls it out later, he'll find it unconscious and nonresistant against capture by luxury ball.
