Starting with “hello” seems logical and a little less intimidating. The fear still remains. What if they reject her? What if her reaching out put them in danger? The fears are paralyzing.

There’s still a bit of pasta left on her plate when she pushes it away, but she couldn’t possibly eat another bite. It’s not quite enough to consider taking it to go, “That was really good,” she focuses on her drink, stirring the straw around to mix it up, “How was your food?”

"really good. a solid nine out of ten; eight if i came alone."

he flashes a smile, finishing what little is left of the daiquiri.

"so, you ready for the house tour?"

She laughs, leaning back to suck the last bit of her daiquiri out of the glass, “Wow, I increased it a whole point? Didn’t know I was that interesting,” she sets the empty glass back down and lets her eyes wander towards the crashing waves nearby. The reckless part of her secretly longs for a little nighttime swim through the dark waters. Although you probably shouldn’t swim right after you eat, that’s never stopped her before. There has to be a secluded part of this beach somewhere, “A house tour already?” she brings her gaze back to Matias, “We’re on the beach and you don’t even wanna go for a quick swim?” she wouldn’t be offended if he declines, but the implication as to what kind of swim she means is written clearly in the sultry grin that pulls across her lips.

[attr="class","matias"]perhaps too foucsed on the house tour, the idea doesn't even occur to him, not even when his eyes follow hers out to the crashing waves. it's only when she asks that it finally clicks in his head.

"we both know it won't be quick."

but he doesn't decline. his own lips pull into a grin; hand raising to gesture for the bill.

She shrugs, contemplating his statement, “True, but it’s not like I have anywhere else to be,” Or want to be, but she leaves it unsaid. He doesn’t say no, so she takes that as a yes. Her smile brightens with excitement. She can always count on Matias to be game for her crazy adventures and vice versa. He signals for the check, she takes out her own form of payment. She’d split the bill – and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Stubborn, as always.

When all that nonsense is said and done, she stands, scooping her shoes up in one hand and reaching with her other to take Matias’s. After a glance down the beach, she picks a direction to lead them in. It seems darker, further way from the city lights, offering more privacy.

[attr="class","matias"]he's stubborn, she's stubborn, but he knows when to compromise, so they end up splitting the bill.

soon, matias stands and sways just a little, perhaps influenced by sugar and alcohol rushing through his system. his hand slips into hers and he is once again pulled away, just the way he likes it.

city lights soon fade into the distance, darkness overpowering the further they go. it grows quieter as well, and they soon reach a point where he's sure they have complete privacy.

It’s a pleasant walk along the shore. As the lights of the city fade, the sky darkens, allowing more star to twinkle into existence above them. Eventually, it’s only the light of the moon that lets them trace the shapes of the rocks that line the beach and the subtle sparkle of it on the gentle waves.

“Here seems great,” she agrees, letting her shoes fall from her hand and onto the sand. She’s anxious to swim, but she fights the urge to simply rip her clothes off and dive in. Patience makes things more exciting.

Instead, she uses his touch to draw him closer. She’s gentle in the way both of her hands move to his hip. It’s a light touch that slides under his shirt, seeking skin. Her fingertips continue to trace his sides up, taking the shirt with them to discard on the sand by her shoes.

[attr="class","matias"]his hands find her hip, mirroring as they glide up her body. his touch caresses, fingers soon curling around fabric to tug them off. her shirt, much like his, falls to the sand.

they move to her bra, unclasping, then her pants, too slow to not be on purpose. he's teasing her, but he's fully expecting her to do the same.

The moon gives them light, but not much. Every deliberate movement it driven by touch, never breaking for more than a moment. They tease, building the desire. It doesn’t take long for them to have stripped each other of their clothes and leave them in a pile at their feet.

She leans forward, letting lips gently graze his skin in a line of kisses as her hand searches for his. When it’s found, she pulls back with a smile, anxious to get in the water. In a very predictable manner, she pulls him towards the water. Her hand slips away from his when her feet meet the sea. The water is a bit cool at first, but easily adjusted to. She’s quick to move deeper and dive into the dark waves.

[attr="class","matias"]she tugs his hand in a familiar manner and he's long been certain that she could tug him anywhere and he'd follow.

they lead into the ocean, feet splashing against water. he tenses against the crashing waves, resisting, before finally diving through a rather large wave.

he gasps when he surfaces, drifting closer to her as the both of them swim further out into the ocean; not too far out where it'd be dangerous, but enough to give them their privacy.

once there, he slowly drifts towards her, laughing.

The further they go, the deeper it gets. They find themselves in a place where she certainly can’t touch the sandy bottom, but he may be able to. It’s rather calm past the breaking of the waves, enough to let her float idly on her back, staring at the stars.

His muffled laugh breaks through the water. It makes her smile to hear it. She pops up, partially sinking below the surface to look towards his dark silhouette. He’s drifting closer and she’s drawn to him like a magnet. Below the surface a hand blindly reaches out towards him to connect them, “I love a good night swim, it feels more peaceful than during the day,” she admits. Plus, there is always the thrill of never knowing what may be swimming around you. It’s a subtle tickle in the back of her mind at this point. He has captured all of her attention.

he's never been a fan of the ocean, so he's never quite found a reason to venture into it at night. he's glad he's here now, though, because it's not fear or discomfort he feels: it's safety and bliss.

"we should do this more."

he shifts closer, swaying with the push and pull of the ocean. his hand runs up the side of her body as his lips edges close to hers, still teasing.

“Oh really?” Perhaps she shouldn’t be surprised. Not many people made it a habit to swim in the open ocean at night. Eva is an exception. However, she’s usually only with her pokemon, so this is a pleasant change. Her hand finds him as his finds her, “I’ll try and make it memorable for you then,” she smiles, barely above a whisper as they inch closer. There’s a subtle wickedness in her tone, a teasing as a hand traces up his chest and over his shoulder. She shudders beneath his gentle touch. For how familiar it has become, it still excites her in a surprising way she can't quite describe. She lets her lips gently brush against his, “I would like that,” it’s the gentle push of a wave that moves her forward and into a kiss.
